Parking is first come first serve. Room felt very tight and cramped. Only stayed for one night and location was convenient.

Reviews on Expedia were misleading. Pictures didn’t really give an accurate representation of what the hotel looked like inside or outside. The parking lot is only one way, so if you don’t feel comfortable backing out, park near the front of the lot. Beware that you’ll be having to back out onto Lombard street, which is incredibly busy. When I arrived, it was only 30 mins prior to check in time. When I was finally able to get inside of the lobby, there was another guest in there complaining about bed bugs. Not a great first impression. After she left, I was told I couldn’t get into my room for another 30 minutes because they were still being cleaned. That is fair. Came back at 3 to get my room key and was told that my room still wasn’t ready. I asked how long until it would be ready and I was told another hour or more. I had to explain to the front office attendant that wouldn’t work for me, as I had booked the hotel and expected to check in at 3 because I had somewhere I needed to be and needed to get ready to be there in my room. I was given a room fairly quickly after that, which I do appreciate, but it was much smaller than the room I booked and paid for. I was sharing this room with my teenage daughter and it was very cramped for both of us. The bathroom had an odd smell. Walls were super thin and you could hear everything through them. Checked for bed bugs and didn’t see anything, thankfully. Probably wouldn’t stay here again though.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet. I wish the beds were queen size instead of double. The location was close to everything. Great, friendly service and the area felt safe. Love the free parking but awkward to get out of.

Free parking was one of the main reasons for this pretty high rating. Overall it was an average stay, but man free parking in San Francisco is a luxury!

Room is clean. Has microwave and mini fridge. Beds are comfortable. Parking is limited and a tight squeeze. Decided to leave our car at the motel while sightseeing in case we lose our parking spot. We took an Uber to Fisherman's Wharf and walked to Ghirardelli Square and back to motel.

Loved that the parking was free, though the lot is pretty tight. The hotel was great, but the carpet seemed pretty old which gave the room a bit of a musty smell. Sheets and towels were clean. Loved the microwave and refrigerator in our room.

Inexpensive given starred hotels almost 10x more due to a major conference but perfectly fine, and a nice location for coffee and food, plus parking. There are 6 or more similar small motels along Lombard, all looked well-kept but I know this one is!

Average place to stay. Just OK overall for the money. Good and helpful staff. They let me stay on the parking after check out time - that was nice.

We arrived a little earlier (one hour and half) and the front desk person took care of us politely and we obtained the room right away. The room is clean and welcoming. We choose this place for the parking and the convenience around and we do not regret. The Marina District is kept in a pretty safe environment. Close to the Marina Green, the Union Street with many restaurants and walkable to many other park like The Palace of Fine Arts.

I like it was very convenient to a lot of the restaurants and water. The room did have a weird smell. I had to keep the door open to air it out.

My room was not clean. The pillows had hair and some stain and dirt, the restroom didn't work well, there was a water leak. The location was amazing. It's nice to have the parking included but it is also a challenge because it's first come first serve and there are not enough spots in the parking lot. In general the hotel needs better cleaning.

My husband and I booked a last minute getaway in San Francisco and happened across the Seaside Inn. We were skeptical because the price was good and had free parking. We were pleasantly surprised! The rooms were spacious for San Francisco standards and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was so comfortable. The room looked like it had recently been updated. It was spotless and smelled great. The location was better than expected. It was a short easy walk from the Safeway at the marina. For those who love Fort Mason and Off the Grid, it was perfect. The bus stops are a short walk away, so leaving our car at the hotel and taking public transportation around the city saved us $$. I think we have found our new “go to” spot in SF!

Was told when booked that I would pay there. Wanted to use an alternative pay method but was told they already charged me. Stepped into room took of my shoes and the whole floor was wet and my white socks became absolutely dirty from the floor. Ice machine was broken so no available ice. Very noisy hotel can hear everyone’s conversation.

Nice clean, updated room with a comfortable bed. Can’t beat the value being in Cow Hollow, close to Ghirardelli Square and easy to walk or Uber anywhere else in the city. Parking included — nice!

Nothing to say it's very clean. Cleaning done every morning

The room was small and had a funky mildew smell when we got there. The check in and check out was very easy even though the front desk lady seem upset cause we checked in at 1 in the morning, they advertise check in 3pm and there is no end time. We where driving and couldn’t get there sooner. On the plus side it was conveniently close to everything. 5 minutes away from everything!

It was a nice clean place to stay, walls are a little thin so you could hear others talking

My room faces the street and it was pretty loud all night, even with earplugs. Interiors have been updated and have all amenities you’d expect from a place charging twice as much. I’m bummed that the outlet by the bed I charged my phone in overnight melted my cable, rendering my extra battery pack unusable and I missed getting photos of my daughter’s race finish because my phone died. Overall, would recommend this hotel.

Bathroom door wouldn’t close, each lamp had a different colored light, pillows were smaller and uncomfortable. Everything else was good.

I was shocked at how basic the facility was for its price. We arrived late and were given the motel room closest to the road, so there was traffic all night. There wasn’t even a bedside table or lamp, the room was tiny, and smelled up disinfectants. I chose it for the location and many reviews said it had quiet rooms but I suppose it depends where they put you. Usually, I wouldn’t write over to you, but this was really kind of gross for a room at that price point.

It was very basic but the price was right, it had parking and the Marina area is centrally located. A little noisy but not as bad as a place I stayed down the street on Lombard between Webster and Fillmore. I was supposed to have a tiny room since I was a solo traveller but the room had no chair. After a little back and forth they did the right thing and gave me a larger room with a desk & chair plus an easy chair. The rooms have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.

The staff was very personable and helpful. The bed and room were adequate. However, it took an inordinate amount of time to get hot water, and the room was noisy from the guests above me and next to me. Also, the door needs weatherstripping, as a chilly draft occurred during my whole stay.

Location was good near to restaurant bar areas. Only downside was the walls with paper thin and bathroom needs upgrade. Staff are excellent and being walking distance (20 mins) to the wharf area was handy

The place not too bad. Bad part of this was the insulation between floors. I can hear people from top floor talking and every step they walked. We could not have a good rest. The office smell like someone just opened a bag of curry. The owner pretend she was not the owner.

Nice property. Staff was weird. They removed our do not disturb tag and called us saying we needed to let them clean the room by that day(our second day). Consistently weird after that too.

Receptionist’s spoken English is very hard to understand.

They were so great at the Seaside Inn! Very accommodating and super friendly service! They let us check in hours early which was nice since we got to San Francisco early in the day and wanted to site see without all of our luggage in our car. 10/10 wood recommend!

Had an amazing time! The inside surprised my fiance and I because it did not match the look of the outside. It was close to a lot of food spots and easy to catch a bus or an Uber from. The only downside for us was the parking lot but that was a small detail compared to the amazing service we got!

I arrived late with my 5 year old son and they skipped over me having to present my ID until the next morning so I could get him to bed ASAP. They also kindly held our bags for several hours because our flight to Auckland wasn't until late in the evening on the day we checked out. Very reasonable price. Great diner to walk to.

Stayed for 6 nights, room was clean with a sitting area. Coffee machine, microwave and fridge, hair dryer, iron & iron board. Nil laundry but coin laundrette a short distance away. Relatively safe area - around 30 min walk to Fishermans warf & cable car. Safeway store close aswell. Happy with our stay.

This motel is right in downtown San Fran. We felt safe and it was close to everything. You would have to drive though as it’s not right by the water even though it’s named Seaside Inn. Clean which is important to us. Know where you’re going when driving around San Fran and be sure to do the original cable car.
