Great location, great coffee, poor water pressure

Awesome room. Great bed. Nice little balcony. Only 8 rooms in the hotel. No elevator. Narrow stairs. Pub below the rooms. Quiet. Good staff. Very close to Farringdon Rd tube station. Convenient .

Overall great stay. Loved the keycard, clean room, distance to local station. Bit of squeaky stair with strong perfume scent, please use less perfume or scent in the hallway. Nice firm mattress, but the windows don't stay open at all, and although it has air conditioning, it would have been nice to get some fresh air. Soy milk for coffee and tea was bad. Otherwise a great stay, just wish it wasn't so expensive!

Great comfortable room. Loads of extra touches with the refreshments and bathroom toiletries. My only complaint was the door didn't have an internal lock - it was just on the digital key - and this is a safety concern, especially for a woman travelling alone.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to Farringdon station. They do give you complimentary snacks and water, but with each passing day it was less (first day 3 snacks, 2 waters, then 2 snacks, 2 waters, then 2 snacks, 1 water, the last day we weren't given water at all), which was strange. The room was lovely, but the heat did not seem to work through the HVAC, and the side heater was a bit wonky (it would be freezing and then we would wake up sweating). I would stay here again, but not in the winter.

Small room, but had everything needed. Stairs were a challenge but the staff were helpful with our bags. I recommend replacing the pillows.

Super cute Pub and Inn. We really enjoyed our stay. Water pressure is a bit low in the shower and just a heads up, there's no elevator. Stairwell is a bit steep and narrow, so if you have heavy big suitcases, traveling with children, or elderly, make sure to ask rooms on the 1st floor if possible.

Nice room, comfy bed but coffee machine broken. Lots of stairs to climb to room so not for the frail.

We enjoyed our two night stay at The One Tun Pub & Rooms very much! The building is very old and has a lot of character. We had room 7, which was a nice size & layout. There were a few things that need attention in the room, like lights & the phone not working, but it was very clean & nicely furnished. The room had a king-size bed and A/C, which worked really well. Anyone booking there should know that there are stairs & no elevator. We knew this, but probably didn't really anticipate the number of stairs or the steepness of them! The staff is great about helping take luggage up & down, but I was glad when I got down the stairs fod the final time!😉 We are very happy that we stayed there, but I think we would probably try somewhere without all those stairs if we ever get to return to London. I want to give a big shoutout to Elle (sp?) for being so nice & helpful!!!

Location is terrific, easy access to transit, very good restaurants nearby. Know that you’re above a pub so lots of noise but they shut it down well at 11:00PM. Staff was great. Very clean. Shower is terrible - almost dangerous- elevated narrow tub with not enough anti-slip and only place to grab is a scorching hot tower bar.

Room 3 was lovely bed was comfortable and fridge and tea making facilities were excellent. Crisps and bar of chocolate was a nice touch. Only one bath robe was provided and no slippers. We were shown to our room by nice gentleman but didn’t catch his name. Unfortunately on checking us in he only checked our room card for one night instead of our three night stay which left us after a visit to the theatre on our second night standing outside at midnight cold and waiting for assistance to get in to our room. We only waited 15-20 minutes but wasn’t a nice experience at that time of night. I always strip the bed on day of leaving( since covid) and I really wish I hadn’t. I was disgusted to see a heavily stained mattress protector and was horrified to think we had slept on that for three nights. Pillows had no protectors on them and had stains also. I left a note with a lady who was in bar area regarding this and sent an email to the manager with no reply. I have taken photos of the bed protector but will not add to review in the hope that the One Tun rooms will take a look at their housekeeping standards and improve them. All future guests please check under your sheets before getting in to bed.

The room is well decorated and functional, they give complimentary tea, cofee and snacks, but the don´t refil every day. The bathroom is clean, lighted and with new equipmentes, the shower is very good. The room is whith good size and the bed is good, the king bed maybe is not so big as US King size. The mainly point that bother my trip is that the curtains don´t block efectively the lights, so the room become very lightiful at 7:30 AM. The stairs to reach the room didn´t bothered me.

The room was really spacious, super clean and loved the decor. The staff were all super nice and lovely to deal with. We had everything we needed, they provided everything.

strains on sheets as well holes where they’ve worn through. rooms are a bit tired and could do with a refresh. floor near the side of bed wasn’t vacuumed. close to the tube however.

I would absolutely stay here again. The Farringdon Tube Station is less than 2 blocks away. The room had everything we needed. The price was very affordable compared to hotels in the area. The decor was eclectically delightful. The bathroom set up was excellent, and even the free snacks, water and chocolate daily were such nice touches. Coffee machine was nice to have, and we were thankful for the mini fridge. The first few days the in-room phone didnt seem to work, but we hopped downstairs to the pub and got food there. These rooms are indeed above a local, often busy, pub that seemed to only play electropop/dance music without lyrics. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat after a busy day in the city, this is not it. I prepared with earplugs and slept fine until 9am, when folks started drilling into the walls next door. Not great: I'm 5foot 2inches and the tub was a real hassle to get in and out of safely as the sides are so high, there is no grab handle,and half the tub side is closed off by glass. Did not love that. While our bed linens smelled fresh and clean, there were stains (blood? Coffee?) On the coverlet. This being Europe, they do not provide top sheets. There was also a 2 inch triangle stain on the lamp shade, and various stains on the carpeting that made us want to keep our shoes on at all times. The main power outlet above my bed did not work. The pillows provided were far past their prime. All in all, great value, if you bring earplugs.

Quiet rooms with steep stairs. Housekeeping amazing.

Excellent location, very friendly staff had a lovely time. Room wasn’t as clean as it could be.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the staff was beyond lovely, our room was spotless and was fun and quirky.

This hotel was immaculately clean and the style was really nice. We were in the room right above the pub and under the other rooms. It was so noisy. We could hear everyone walking up and down the stairs and the music from the pub. Of course we knew booking a room at a pub would have noises from the pub and luckily it was pretty quiet once the pub closed. It was the noise from the other guests that got to us.

The room was lively and the service was great. However, the noise level was insane. People shouting in the pub below ended at 10:00, which was expected, but we were woken by a couple shouting at each other over the vacuum cleaner as they cleaned at 5:30 the next morning. Nice spot and great location and service, but bring your very best earplugs!

The One Tun Pub was a REAL English pub, with great food and staff, and the rooms are huge, well appointed, and blend perfectly with the space. Highly recommend!

My stay at The One Tun Pub was wonderful. My room was very clean and a very nice sized room. It was very modern and nicely decorated. It is literally across the street from the Farrington train station with underground and above ground train links. It is on several lines but is on the Circle line which is one of the main underground lines for Central London. There are also several cute pubs in the area, with a few blocks walk for food options. My only negatives would be slightly noisy in the evening until the pub downstairs closes, but its not open super late and only noisy if people are outside drinking. And while the bathroom is super nice and very clean, the bathtub/shower is kind of high off the ground with no handrail to hold on to when getting out of the tub/shower, which was a bit scary.

The room was roomy and comfortable. Be prepared to climb steep, narrow stairs as this is an old building. Staff helped carry our luggage up. The area has lots of restaurants and shopping available in walking distance and it's right around the corner from Farringdon Tube station, as well as the Elizabeth line from Heathrow.

Lovely spacious and tastefully decorated room conveniently located a few minutes’ walk from Farringdon. Well stocked with tea, coffee & biscuits. Only minor downside is noise - there is loud emptying of bottle-filled bins late at night.

Very friendly pub with rooms. Booked 3 rooms for a couple of nights. Rooms very nicely done although room 2 doesn’t get much natural light as the windows face into a sort of courtyard. Room 1 is great, didn’t get to see room 4 but told it was also really good and spacious. Lots of nice little touches and the lady who services the rooms is lovely. Farringdon station a couple of minutes walk away. We wanted to stay somewhere other than a big standard hotel and this fitted the bill nicely.

We booked this pub as it was perfect for a party we were going to. Unfortunately although our email confirmation for the night we wanted was correct and confirmed there was 'no room at the Inn' and there was a mistake and our room was double booked and none other available. However the staff there were brilliant and they got us a room at another of their Pubs nearby and paid for the taxi to get us there and could not do enough to help us - they gave us a discount as well so appreciated they responded to our situation. We were not angry as mistakes happen and we are all human and I have to say we were very happy with staying at the Clerk and Well - it was a beautiful room - only problem being on the top floor with lots of stairs but they helped us with our luggage so all turned out well. Would recommend.

A spacious, well-appointed room is waiting for you, just a skip from Farringdon. We arrived during the after-work happy hour crunch, but the host dropped everything to check us in and make sure we were comfortably situated in our room. The room was fantastic and dinner at the inn was good too.

The service was so friendly and they couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay amazing. They even called up to our before before the bar closed to see if we wanted any more drinks bringing up

We arrived early and was told that we could have our room. Excellent service would highly recommend

This is a very nice place to stay. Three cheers to Roxy! She was very helpful and went out of her way to bring me US to UK adapters and the whole staff was very warm and welcoming! I will definitely return here again!

We just stayed the one night on a stopover. Our flight from Sardinia arrived at Gatwick and our flight to Australia left from Heathrow. Very convenient as it is only a 4 minute walk from Farringdon Station. , which is on the Gatwick line and Elizabeth line to Heathrow. The manager went out of her way to help us.

Great location easy access to underground

This was a cute and slightly quirky room, something different than a cookie-cutter hotel room. The staff was friendly and the pub below us had great food and beer. Our room on the 1st floor was a little loud until the pub closed. It was steps away from the Tube (on a direct line to Heathrow), making it a great jumping-off location.

Super place, we stayed 3 nights, we had a beautiful room with a terrace. Very practical emplacement with metro and bus stop at 100m. Room spacious, clean, nice decoration. We'll come back for our next stay in London!

LOVED the vibe and would stay again! Yes, there are steep stairs, no elevator/lift if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage and it’s noisy until the pub closes. But it is also conveniently located - 3 minute walk from Farringdon station which means you can take the Elizabeth line to Heathrow airport and be there in 40 minutes. You can also easily take the tube to other touristy spots. Walking distance to St. John’s (a traditional British Michelin star restaurant).

A gem right in central London! Beautiful and exceptionally quiet rooms with well stocked amenities and great service. Steps away from Farringdon tube station with great links to everywhere we needed to go. Absolutely will be staying again for our next trip!

Off the main road for a quieter and more private stay. Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, delicious food. Great location for all public transport around London. A block and half from the Farringdon station. A quick walk to stores, restaurants, and night life. Plus, the historical significance of the place is fascinating. Would stay here again!

This was such a great find!! The pub is really nice with a great Pan Asian menu. The rooms are fabulous!! Super spacious, clean, tidy, comfortable, uniquely decorated…they haven’t missed a thing. Great position close to tube stations…or even a 30 minute walk into central London. Will definitely be back here.
