Was a good stay overall. Unfortunatley the weather was very hot and as there is no AC the room was extremly warm for one of the nights. Other than that it's a nice wee hotel. Michelle was a great hostess and obviously works very hard to ensure all her customers are looked after. All the staff were very friendly. Good location for getting about London and for us it was very handy for Wimbeldon.

Very comfortable room, good options for breakfast, great friendly staff and ideally located for the centre of London as it’s just around the corner from Nine Elms tube station. Only downside is the stairs to the rooms, it’s an old building and the stairs are steep, which if you struggle with mobility could be a problem but for most people it’s fine. Having said that, we would definitely stay here again the next time we are in London

Great hotel, friendly service. Situated in a pub, which is very nice and welcoming! Even gave you a free drink on arrival and includes a decent breakfast! Highly recommended!

A very welcoming hotel with clean but basic rooms. Steep stairs to the rooms so not suitable for those with walking difficulties. A nice sports bar and decent pub grub is served including a hearty breakfast.

Found this lovely little hotel at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised. Great location and a good value, it also had some personality and the convenience of the pub downstairs for breakfast and grabbing a drink or meal. Not too noisy despite that; the main inconvenience was carrying my bag up some narrow stairs since there is no lift. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice stay in London

The hotel is located above a bar. You have to check-in going through the restaurant. There is no elevator. Luckily the staff took our heavy luggage to our room. The room is VERY small, and there's NO air conditioning, on a sweltering night. Pictures of the hotel are deceiving.

Staff is really lovely, and inclusive breakfast a bonus. The rooms are kept clean, tidy and a little quirky. The mattress showed a bit of use - and shower drain a bit smelly. If you’re looking for a quiet pub hotel - this isn’t it. There is double glazing which helps. Easy walk from Vauxhall.

The room cleanliness was greatly lacking - the bed throw and cushions were heavily stained, and the carpets needed a thorough vacuum. The room was extremely warm despite the radiator being off; the fan provided just circulated warm air, and we were unable to open the window. There were four bottles of conditioner but no hand soap or shower gel, and none arrived even though we had asked for some. We booked this room based on the excellent reviews, particularly rating the cleanliness, however we feel it was poor value for money and would definitely not stay again, nor recommend to others.

There is nothing to like about this property! It's like a make shift place to bunk in! Dead bugs/flies in the room .. terrible smell .. I have traveled the world for 25 years and this is the worst I have seen! The ratings/views are for sure botched. Avoid this dump!

We we're in London for only 2 nights and this was ideal. Fair enough the room was small but it yes very clean and has everything you want or need. I would certainly go back there if and when I visit London again.

Room was lovely and clean, absolutely fine for a one night stay. Bed was very comfy. But... walls are incredibly thin, could hear every word of next door's 5am conversation. Breakfast was welcomed but not amazing. Staff were lovely!

Unique little hotel above a popular pub. Not noisy though. Our room was incredibly small. Really cute but the smallest lodging I have ever stayed in. Be sure to tell them if you are large people. That could have been an issue. The hotel is clean and has great staff.

The manager Cas was really nice. He gave us a complimentary drink when I arrived, and since the wifi wasn’t working in the room, and I had to come to the restaurant/pub in the hotel to get wifi he offered me a free drink. He really tried to get the wifi working in the room, but it never worked. He was very apologetic. The bathroom was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. I had requested 2 twin beds but they gave us a king sized bed. The food in the restaurant was pretty good., There’s no elevator.

The room we stayed in was way too small, I know it's classed as a small double but this was ridiculous. It's definitely a single room with a small double bed in. You couldn't move around the bed without shuffling sideways. No room for the suitcase, had to open on the bed to get things out. Hardly any room to put belongings without walking into them or knocking stuff over. Also the bathroom, no where to even put our toothbrushes or anything, we could sit on the toilet and brush our teeth at the same time the sink was that close to you, you had to be careful sitting on the loo if you bent forward in the slightest you'd bang your head on the sink. Also the breakfast, everything on the plate was only slightly warm !! The food should be probed before serving because the whole breakfast was honestly near on cold.. chef need's to up his game !!! Very disappointed with what we got for the price we paid. I've never stayed in a room so small and cramped and we travel often 👎👎👎

The hotel's proximity to public transport (Nine Elms and Vauxhall) was advantageous. The room was adequately sized and clean; the king-size bed was comfortable, though the single bed was not. Breakfast was substantial and satisfying. Michelle provided excellent and attentive service. However, I wish to bring two matters to the owner's attention. The lack of an operable window resulted in poor air circulation. Secondly, while acknowledging the building's age, the provision of portable air conditioning units in each room is recommended, as the existing fans are insufficient. Despite these issues, I would recommend this hotel.

I have stayed in larger/fancy hotels but what struck me the most was the people, not just the staff (who were lovely) but the customers of the bar on the ground floor, very helpful and friendly. The place had a soul.

I didn't realize that this was over a bar, but it was very quiet for my one-night stay. My favorite feature is that they will hold your bags for the day while you travel around the city.

Would highly recommend the Griffin Belle, warm welcome on arrival with a complimentary alcoholic drink each. Room was spotless and comfortable, very little noise from outside. Full breakast included which was fantastic, plenty of choice. Being a very short walk from Vauxhall tube station makes it very convenient.

David, Sean, Michelle: stars all of them. They went above and beyond for this weary traveler in need of rest. Great energy in the pub and perfectly quiet and cozy bed. Had a hiccup with my phone that had me in a panic. They helped me sort it, and were kind as could be. I’ve stayed in a million spots and this one was one of the best. Affordable too. Thank you Griffin Belle!

Our room was 2 floors above a very nice pub. Staff was very helpful in hauling our luggage upstairs to a room with rather unique decor. Food was great, plus there was a fantastic Indian restaurant nearby. Hotel was within walking distance of the Vauxhill train station (which we used for arriving from out of town) and the Nine Elm Tube Station, perfect for getting around London.

Would highly recommend the Griffin Belle, warm welcome on arrival with a complimentary alcoholic drink each. Room was spotless and comfortable, very little noise from outside. Full breakast included which was fantastic, plenty of choice. Being a very short walk from Vauxhall tube station makes it very convenient.

A great place to stay if you want to be near central London. It's a pub with rooms above it but it was not noisy in my room. My room was not large but it wasn't a problem. The breakfast was quite good. Walking distance to two underground lines and a large grocery store. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A very pleasant stay at a lovely little pub in an oasis of old Vauxhall surrounded by the modern high rise buildings. As I had an appointment at the USA Embassy it was very conveniently positioned, no more than 10 minutes walk away from both the Embassy and the mainline railway station. Lovely helpful and pleasant staff, if I visit Vauxhall again I will choose to stay here.

Very comfortable room, good options for breakfast, great friendly staff and ideally located for the centre of London as it’s just around the corner from Nine Elms tube station. Only downside is the stairs to the rooms, it’s an old building and the stairs are steep, which if you struggle with mobility could be a problem but for most people it’s fine. Having said that, we would definitely stay here again the next time we are in London

We stayed here last November so we knew it would be ok. The rooms are quite small but comfy beds. The location is really good within walking distance of Westminster and Battersea power station .This time we got the train to Windsor from Vauxhall station which is a few minutes walk from the Griffin Belle. Good breakfast to set you up for the day plus you can also get a meal in the evening. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly

After a super-easy journey and a very short walk from Vauxhall underground station, from the moment I stepped into the building, I was made to feel very welcome. Mark warmly greeted me and took time to speak with me and help with planning my movement around London. He saved me a lot of time and effort, applying his local knowledge. With two stations under 10mins walk, an excellent breakfast selection, a well stocked bar, a very clean room and the most polite and friendly staff, I'll definitely take every opportunity to stay at the Griffin Belle Hotel again.

It was all OK, biggest issue was the room which was situated next to the front of the pub right next to the metal sign which creaked and moaned all night. The neon sign also was never switched off and created light in room around the poorly fitted curtains. Breakfast was poor and edible mushroom.

This is a pub with sports bar that rents out room as a hotel. We were offered a welcome drink which was lovely. The bed was huge which was lovely but the pillows need to be replaced, they were uncomfortable. The room was on the small side but we have stayed In smaller. The room and bathroom were clean and had everything that you need. Breakfast starts at 7.30 but we asked if we could have it a bit earlier as we were going to the US embassy but this was declined. Breakfast was ‘ok’ the poached eggs were hard though and the scrambled eggs were dry, the toast was nice but needs cooking all the way round. Would we stay again? Probably but not bother with the breakfast.

Great little pub/hotel. Beds comfy, clean rooms, great bathroom, great breakfast & evening meal, quiet room. Staff were excellent - couldn't do enough for us. Close to Underground & great access to London. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great hotel, friendly service. Situated in a pub, which is very nice and welcoming! Even gave you a free drink on arrival and includes a decent breakfast! Highly recommended!

Very clean, great staff. Breakfast was delicious! Although, in the evening I ordered fish and chips and nachos which were not very good. Thsoe could be improved greatly.

Could not fault the room or the staff. The only thing that let it down was the breakfast was awful. Bacon was dry and tough, sausage was burnt, mushrooms were watery and smelly. The coffee was so strong. And by the time I made my own toast the breakfast was cold.

É in zona 1: comodissimo, ad un passo dalla stazione di Vauxall e dal centro: Westminster, Big Ben e London Eye si raggiungono a piedi in venti minuti. La struttura é un pó kitsch, l’arredo delle camere basico, la moquette ovunque. La qualità della ristorazione è quella di un pub inglese medio, nulla di speciale. Però nelle vicinanze si trova un ottimo Gail’s Bakery, mentre il famoso (soprattutto per chi conosce Taylor Swift) pub The Black Dog si raggiunge in dieci minuti a piedi.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Stay From the moment we checked in, Alex and Mark made us feel genuinely welcome. Their friendly, attentive service made our stay memorable, and nothing was too much trouble. The Griffin Belle is a beautiful listed building full of character and charm. If you want an authentic London stay instead of a standard chain hotel, this is the perfect choice. Our room was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent, and the hotel offers fantastic value for money. It’s also in a great location, with easy access to central London by Tube and plenty within walking distance. A special thank you to Emile in the kitchen. The food was exceptional throughout our stay. We enjoyed the Sunday roast while watching the World Cup Final in the bar, and it was one of the best we’ve had—freshly cooked, generous and full of flavour. What really sets The Griffin Belle apart is the people. Alex, Mark, Emile and the whole team made us feel like friends rather than guests, and we even left having made a new friend. Thank you all for making our weekend so special. We can’t recommend The Griffin Belle highly enough and will definitely be staying again on our next trip to London.

Kedelig og ligegyldig morgenmad, hvor der kan vælges mellem tre alternativer. Positivt med aircondition på værelserne, vi boede på, men det opvejede bestemt ikke, at væggene er så tynde, at alt hvad der foretages på naboværelserne og deres toiletter, går rent igennem!
