Golden Chain Aalana Motor Inn

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband. There is a lot to see in this town. The hotel is on the main street (right next to KFC) and it's a really busy road. However, the room was quiet. The Railway Hotel is great across the road for eats as well as for a drink. There is also a traditional Chinese place across the road, which was really good. We stayed in the executive queen room, which was a really large room. The heater made an annoying clicking sound. The shower had low pressure but we found this in a lot of places in our travels this time around. Service was good and the room was clean. It was cozy and there were enough PowerPoints. Tea and coffee available and a kettle, fridge etc. Disappointing that the WiFi wasn’t working. It was within walking distance to the main part of town. Smokers: You can smoke outside. Shut your door.

Good location on the high street / highway, but quiet overnight and during the day, despite this. Close to supermarkets, shops, restaurants and cafes. Somewhat dated bathroom, but it and the furniture were still in very good condition. Bathroom and room were clean. Friendly reception staff. Complimentary fresh milk available for tea and coffee. Air Conditioning / Heating worked well in winter. Would stay again.
