They don’t restock breakfast and broken glass all over pool area

Staff members were awesome. However property needs help. Pillows and mattresses were hard. Bath towels looked like shop towels. Room had a funky smell. Property was fully occupied for the weekend. Parking was awful in the evening. Could not find a parking spot the first night. A kind staff member moved his car so that we could park our car. Apparently they share their parking lot with the Dance Hall across the street. The parking lot has signs that “others will be towed” but per the front desk it is not enforced. Not recommend.

We were traveling for baseball as we often do. After I checked in I left my items in the room. Upon return from grabbing dinner I was greeted at my door by another woman who was assigned my room, and given the key my room. Luckily I returned at that time or all the sports equipment I had in the room for safe keeping may have been gone. My kids were scared that at any moment someone else would come inside our room. The facility was run down. Pool was closed. Elevator panel was damaged. Weird blue stuff that resembled toothpaste along the walls everywhere. I do not recommend and will not return.

Needs more parking space but other than that everything else is great!

Upon checkin found that there was an old sock and toe nails on the floor. Water had a sulfuric smell. Pool was not useable due to being green. Breakfast left a lot to be desired with some mornings only options were waffles or toast. Staff was friendly however and helped anytime we needed something

Pool was dirty I had to get the net and clean the debris out. There was broken glass around the pool and in the pool the kids were getting cuts from glass. I also had to get broom from front desk to sweep up the glass

The hotel was okay. The pool didn’t have enough chlorine and the pool area was very unkept. There was some riff raff happening in the parking lot, which didn’t feel super safe. The room was clean. Breakfast on a weekend ended at 9a, which felt too early. No flexibility for a later check out even though the hotel was far from full. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is noisy, the beds are rockhard, pillows are rock hard, hard to sleep with door, slamming all night. Pool was nothing like advertised and dirty. Staff was amazing.

The place was under renovation which I understood. When I got there people had been waiting to check in for over 30 mins. There were two desk people who seemed overwhelmed. One of them told the other to just get the guests checked in. The three guests in front of me got the option of what floor they would like to be on. When it was my turn they just assigned me a room. The elevator was sketchy, but again they were under renovations so I get it. I got to my room and it was a mess. I actually thought I had walked in to an already checked in room. I was told I could wait for my room to be ready as they had no others. Or contact hotels.com. They checked and the room was nowhere near ready, so low and behold after telling me there was no way they found me another room very quickly. They said to please understand it’d only been 45 mins past check in, but why is it my fault for their lack of planning. Also, the bedding had stains, the ac unit was cracked and was shooting out dust. There’s were bugs on the bed. Renovations do not mean uncleanliness and lack of customer service. I do not ever leave reviews, but I was so unhappy with my visit that I had to leave this.

The elevator and hallway floors were filthy. The sofa in my room was so filthy and stained on the seat and back and couldn't sit there. The coffee machine reservoir was so filthy I couldn't make coffee in the morning. I would not eat the breakfast due to the uncleanliness of the room and hallway and elevator. I can't imagine whats going on in the food prep area. Very disappointed with the stay.

The room was spotless and well-organized, with modern furnishings and a very comfortable bed. Despite being a budget-friendly option, the hotel didn't skimp on the essentials: fast Wi-Fi, a good selection of TV channels, and a complimentary breakfast that had enough variety to start the day right. Location-wise, it was conveniently situated near restaurants and shopping, with easy access to the highway — perfect for travelers on the go. I’d definitely stay at a Microtel again. It’s a reliable, clean, and comfortable option for both short and long stays.

Had a hard time understanding desk personnel. No hanging rod or coat hangers in closet; housekeeping, left towels, and emptied, trash cans, but did not make beds; though carpets look clean, socks, and bottom of feet, got extremely dirty; coffee and coffee maker was terrible; carpet in hallway, or torn and extremely dirty.

We got to breakfast at 8am and everything was gone. The only thing you could make was waffles. The waffle burner burns them on the outside but still not cooked on the inside. The hallway smelled like marijuana when we arrived. But the staff were very courteous and the room was clean.

Roaches.

We were perfectly satisfied with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly. The nightly rate was the best of hotels in this area. We stayed 4 nights and housekeeping serviced our room daily without being asked. I feel a 3.5 star rating does not accurately represent the quality of this establishment.

This is my second stay that I've had a roach r two.But otherwise I enjoyed the stay

The carpet in the hotel looked dirty, there was a cigarette smell on the third floor and, the AC thermostat had a blue light that stayed on all night shining on my face oh and you can only buy water if you have cash in hand.

Even though the place was immaculate, staff was amazing and great location... we kept finding coackroches in our room. Room 306 needs fumigation. We had to throw away snacks due to finding the little roaches in them I'm a blink of an eye!

Place was clean and neat. Beds were not comfy but that would've been fine if the pillows weren't terrible.

It’s located in a good area near fast food, good service stayed for my sons graduation not far from downtown Austin only thing and not sure if it was just my room but we stayed 3 night didn’t have a closet or anywhere to organize clothes.

weird noise all night as a machine kept turning over and reving every 30 seconds and interrupted my sleep. but it was very clean and excellent staff

I requested a room with a sofa but got a disability room without it. You can definitely hear the people across the hall, neighboring units, and the dance hall across the hotel. The sheets were pretty rough and my knuckle got red/raw from just scraping on them. The bathtub was pretty steep and I almost tripped. The fridge froze my water bottle and food. The thing I like about it is the price was cheap, the location was close to an event I had to go to, and it was near a lot of fast foods.

Very nice staff, clean room! I needed to do work before heading out later in the day and the wifi was excellent--I had no issues. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel looks nothing like they promoted it to be. When we arrived to our room it was so muggy and smelled bad. It was so muggy in the there. There was no WiFi no working phone nor did the tv work the cord to it was missing. Definitely would not recommend. The room was picked up but not clean.

First. Let me say that every staff member we encountered was friendly and very helpful. We checked in and went to room 228 to find the door open and still in the clean up process. The room was very nice with a great bathroom that looked new. We went back down and the front desk personnel apologized and gave us a new key for a downstairs room. That room was clean, but older looking and not as nice a bathroom. It was fine, though. Breakfast was great. Our only complaint was the thin walls. We could hear conversations from both our neighbors like they were in our room and they went on until the wee hours. I did mention that to the gentleman at the front desk when we checked out. Overall, I’d recommend it for the value, cleanliness and customer service.

Everything is great at this hotel , we’ve been staying there for years already. This year though, the pillows and mattress were not the best, everything else top, as always.

In all fairness, the property was undergoing a renovation when I stayed. However, this was not mentioned anywhere on Expedia when I booked. My room was partially renovated with some trim missing and a cover for the handle in the shower missing. This part can be attributed to the renovation. However, there was a trash can in my room that had a pizza box in it, and someone had already opened soap in the bathroom and used one of the towels. The property Wi-Fi didn't really reach to the end of the hall and made the internet essentially unusable. Breakfast was not available in the morning and the desk clerk barely seemed to care as she blamed that on renovation too. Something else that was not mentioned earlier. Something that I don't think the renovation will fix is the noise. Plenty of street noise and it was easy to understand what TV show my neighbors were watching. They didn't have it turned up very loud. As a bonus, one of them snored pretty loudly. Some of the issues will go away after the renovation is complete, some will not.

The toilet didnt work at all We changed rooms and we walked in and the room immediately smelled like cigarettes mind you its a "smoke free zone" Just a terrible experience

Traveled 2 hours with traffic to the hotel and once we arrived i proceeded to check in to hear that my room which is supposed to be a suite is not ready and not sure how long before it would be cleaned. I was given another room so my husband and i carrying all our bags proceeded to the room where we encountered housekeeping and was told that room was not ready to go back down and ask the clerk for another room. What a mess finally i tell the clerk that i need a room cause i need to change for a wedding that starts at 5:30 pm and now the time is 5:00 pm. Room was given that was not a suite that i had paid for , bathroom floor and towels were not very clean . Arrived late to the wedding so for $213.00 for one night i was not a happy person. I will not stay at this location again and it definitely needs to be renovated!!!

Really great experience everything was as advertised. The gentlemen running the front were excellent. Cam and Curtis were extremely helpful and professional. Would definitely go out of my way to stay at this location again if I’m ever in the Austin area again.

The reservation was not honored and the room was paid in full ... Only a refund was suggested... but at 1.30 am how helpful is that? If you do not want to sleep in the car as I did ..... do not rent this property!!

Stay was great, Evelyn got me checked in promptly and was about my way. Rooms were great.

Lack of soap, towels etc. I stayed 3 nights and house keeping never cleaned or gave fresh towels. Probably wont stay here again.

Terrible new policy of requesting housekeeping service. I failed to read the new policy and staff never made me aware of it. During a 3-night stay, I verbally requested housekeeping service but never received it. Finally fresh towels on the third morning only.

Our stay was amazing just like the stuff. The driver from the Austin airport was about 30mins and there was some food places that were walking distance. Parking was easy and hotel clean. Totally recommend for a family or friend vacation.

It is conveniently located near eating & shopping locales. It was also a very smooth check in & check out experience.

Property was clean, parking lot well lit, close to several places to eat, room was small but just enough for 1 or 2 people for a quick stay, rooms were clean.

The area is clean and safe and has many different places for shopping and eating. The Hotel is clean and quiet and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, I had never stayed at a Microtel before. However I was pleasantly surprised how nice and comfortable it was! The room was very clean and a lot bigger than I was expecting it to be. The hotel was also very quiet I slept through the night without disturbances and that is rare for a hotel. The breakfast was also Great! I would definitely recommend!

The property itself was well kept, the people were kind, and it was in a good area. The part that I just couldn’t get over and why I would never stay again are the beds. They are so uncomfortable, tossing and turning all night. Same with the pillows. The other unfortunate aspect was the breakfast. It was a sad selection.. I would pay a little more to have comfort and a better breakfast.

The staff was great. The room needed repairs and a more thorough cleaning. We started to eat breakfast but the food we wanted was gone and we didn’t have time to wait.

Get\'s the job done place to stay. Clean and comfortable but no frills. The "breakfast" is very minimal and limited. That was a let down. Day 4 I thought my room would be serviced finay and still wasnt. I need towels and the front desk did happily take care of that. We didnt stay in room much so it was fine for us.

Breakfast area had 1 waffle maker for guests who couldn’t have juice or toast (no bread, no juice in dispenser). The sausage and eggs? looked I unappetizing. Coffee was never hot and had to be microwaved. Room was clean, but several broken floor tiles, torn window seat cushion. No tissues only 1 trash can. Charged a mystery $25 fee when we checked in saying it would be refunded after our stay. I won’t stay there again

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be an average experience overall. The rooms were decent, though nothing extraordinary—clean and comfortable, but in need of a bit of updating. The staff, however, was a highlight. They were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to assist with any requests, which made the stay much more pleasant. As for the continental breakfast, it was a bit of a disappointment. The selection was limited, and the quality could definitely be improved. The offerings felt basic and lacked variety, so it’s an area that could use some attention. Overall, while the hotel serves its purpose, there’s room for improvement in terms of amenities and food options.

Beds were comfortable. Staff pleasant. bathroom and elevator a little "cracked up condition", odd but no harm to our visit. No real breakfast offered - instant, powered eggs had water in them; bread was basic inexpensive white bread in bag from store; coffee maker not working but they had a "pump-coffe" dispenser, couple cold cerals offered otherwise NOTHING ususally offered at these type motels. could be clientel of rough-necks that tear everything up and consume mass quanity of free breakfast. staff & beds fine, appeared clean, no real breakfast offered.
