Super 8 by Wyndham Valdosta Mall

My only issue was the pool being out of order and not knowing ahead of time. Also having kids who were looking forward to the pool time. It was going to be the main part of our short family vacation.

Large gap in door/jamb allowing light into room garbage in parking lot of people drinking in cars in parking lot with their headlights shining in room window not quite up to par for Wyndham would not recommend to anyone

The pictures and profile claimed to have a pool, they didn’t, it was torn up and by the looks of it, the pool has been out of service for quite awhile. I’m very disappointed that they waited for us to arrive to ask if we wanted to cancel. We are stuck with something we didn’t want but have no choice.

We were told ahead of time more than once the pool was open,upon registration,we were informed it was closed and had been for sometime. We got into our room and our tv didnt work,granted they did come and fix the problem an then got locked out of our room because our keys stopped working! Other than that no problems.

This property is both Super 8 and Days Inn combined which seemed weird. The room was clean but had some peeling paint on walls. The grounds were clean but need updating. It was fine for a one night stay on our trip home from Florida. It was on the west side of I75 a little away from all the other hotels & restaurants. We ate at Dairy Queen adjacent to property.

Run down motel. Probably was once nice, but now is not. Bed was creaky. Cleanliness of room was questionable. Found mostly use shampoo bottle in shower. Shower curtain was filthy so was the shower head. Mismatched chair at table. Outside did not feel safe at all. Some people just loitering. Outside smells highly of weed and smoke. Walls are thin and can hear people walking outside throughout the night.

Great deal for $57/night but property needs a facelift.

The plus side the staff was amazing so kind and helpful. The negative the toilet didn’t flush well, the shower was the worst part of of the whole room. It worked wonderfully as long as no one else in the hotel used the shower. If someone else used the shower the water pressure would drop to a light dribble and the water would become extremely cold. The toilet paper holder was completely off the wall and laying on the sink. The roll of toilet paper was almost out with no back ups. The phone didn’t work so if we needed anything from the front desk we had to walk up and ask. When we told the staff about the toilet paper holder they did send maintenance early in the am which was super nice but we did send him away. Also a big part of why I booked the hotel was for the outside pool and unfortunately that was also out of order. The hairdryer they had for us was broken as well. The back part of the hairdresser was cracked really bad and when we used it, it would turn bright orange like it was over heating.

Property was poorly .aintained. expected more from Windum.Gas grills outside od rooms.

Terrible. Bathroom sink and shower Ok. Flooring OK. Everything else is either worn out or broken. Other than the front entry the rest of the building is in poor condition. Front desk unfriendly. I won't be back for sure.

Very clean-.bed comfortable

The property was poor and ran down. There were roaches coming out of the microwave when we tried to use it. The wall was full of patchy repair work. The room smelled like smoke. People live in this hotel so they hang out all times of the night in the walk ways. They were grilling barbecue in the walk way. The free breakfast was a complete joke.

Rooms are dirty

This room was absolutely disgusting! The paint was peeling off of the ceilings and walls. The light didn’t work half of the time and there was bugs crawling on the walls right before bed. If we weren’t so tired from being at Wild Adventures all day, we would have left then. Extremely overpriced. Will never stay again.

Very dirty and rough shape.

The hotel was filthy, dead cockroaches in the bathroom, the smoke detector was not on the was but in a drawer with no battery, the chair was deteriorating, the comforter had disgusting stains on them, water was all over the floor from the air conditioner. The one bless by the pool had plywood in the windows. I would love my money refunded. Worse place we ever stayed!!

I was tired and exhausted from traveling eleven hours. My room was never cleaned!! It had a wet towel and washcloth lying in the corner of the tub. The toilet paper holder was broken off and NO toilet paper. Really! After eleven hours of traveling you know you gotta go. And I’m 72 traveling with two little girls. I call the front desk twice and was disconnected or the phone doesn’t work. I headed to the office. I just asked for towels and toilet paper. I was offered another room and turned it down. I decided to skip showers. Got back to my room, settled the girls down. I get into bed and felt things in it. Got up and saw crumbs, dirt and you could see where he/she/they ate in bed and wiped their hands. The bottom of the bed had stuff carried in by their feet. That’s it!! I’m done. I get the girls up and headed to the office. I did take another room this time. It was good. I wanted the girls to watch tv to unwind a little, guess what! The tv doesn’t work. I tired to set up the WiFi and you have to go to Days Inn, then switch over to Super 8, and then the passcode. Never did get logged in and I gave up. Lights out, we’re going to sleep. But, I couldn’t sleep because the sheets were so ruff and itchy. I tossed and turned until around 11:00 pm. I have another eight hours to travel today. I pray it’s going to get better. Thank you for the stay, I WON’T BE BACK at any Super 8 again.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly, but other than it was terrible. The room smelled old, mildewy and the air conditioner sounded like there was a construction crew in the room. The cable was a mess so you couldn't watch TV. I checked in a little after 11pm, but I didn't get any sleep because of the noise from the traffic on I-75. I'll be going back because my son goes to school there, but I definitely will not stay there again!!!!!

The beds were advertised as queen size but were definitely not queen. The beds also had a huge dip in them and were not comfortable. The curtains didnt block the outdoor lights. The room phone didnt work, which could have been needed for medical emergency, and when we went to front desk to advise she said that it was a known issue and couldnt be fixed; she didnt offer to switch us rooms, she only offered to check us out on a Saturday night at 9pm. The customer service was horrible and they offered no resolution or empathy for the issue, she just said "you have a cell phone".

Not sure how we got this hotel as i thought it would be near mall on other side of freeway. It is an adequate place but had problems with TV service and in room phones.

I have booked with them on several occasions and every time I stay more than 2 days, I end up being lock out of my room. Its very aggravating when I'm on the second or third floor and having to walk all the way back down just to get my room unlock. I end up having to book somewhere else due to the constant lock outs.

There was a loud party going on in the room next to us. Finally at 3am I tried to call the front desk only to find out our room phone did not work. I then tried to call the front desk from my cell. The call rang and rang, no one answered. I tried again, still no answer. The party lasted until 5am. At 6 am their dog started barking. Ugh!!! The free breakfast was a joke.

Property did not honor pre-paid reservation and blamed Expedia for overbooking their hotel

First off picture is not correct. The hotel looks rundown, and the customer service is BAD. One of the front desk employees had a very nasty attitude with every customer. She got into an argument with one of the customers about an ironing board. She didn't want to find the customer one. When I got into the room the shower was dirty and the bed sheet had dust on them. Glad I keep sheets with me. I asked that housekeeping come by in the morning. Housekeeping did not come clean room. I cleaned my room so I could get ready for my son College graduation. I stayed 2night and rented 3 rooms. I always use Wyndham and this one was Bad.

The woman that works at the front desk is awful. She is not accommodating at all. Prior to check in we received and email telling us we can do an early checkin for $20 so I selected to do that. Upon arrival the woman says they don’t have any clean rooms (the motel is completely empty) I told her I paid for early check in and she tells me to come back at 2. She didn’t even bother to look if she had any clean rooms while I stood there. At 2 she miraculously had a clean room, thank god. On the same online portal we requested a late checkout, we go to ask her and she says the latest she can do is 12 (online it gives you the option of 1pm or 3 pm checkout) she says “we have a full house so the latest I can do is 12pm” There were maybe 20 cars in the parking lot of a 3 story 2 unit building of hotel rooms, which had PLENTY of open rooms around the one I was staying in. However, once again she didn’t even bother to check her computer system to see if we could do the late checkout. If this property isn’t going to be accommodating in any way for these early checkin/ late checkouts they shouldn’t offer them and take money prior to arrival for these accommodations. Then prior to checkout our keys locked us out of the room 30 minutes before we were having to checkout so our dogs were stuck in the motel room while we had a key that didn’t work. We had to go back to the front desk AGAIN to get the keys fixed. Overall, the customer service here is actually appalling. Do better.

Good hotel for a fair price. Maintenance guy very helpful in fixing the issue with our tv.

The staff was friendly and polite. The room was comfortable and almost finished in updating. After arriving at 9 PM, I had to wait almost 30 min to checkin and get keys, since there was a line of folks ahead of me. Only one staff member, but a good stay, and convenient location.

The checkin was terrible, evidently it’s a dual facility at Days Inn and Super 8. We were in town to attend a funeral of a family member. We arrived a night early and asked to extend the reservation to include that day. We arrived after 11 PM, and the agent was friendly, but not knowledgeable. He then told me to get a better rate to book my room off the Internet while I was standing in the lobby. Since he did not appear to know what he was doing, complied and booked on the Internet. However, the reservation never came through so ultimately wound up paying the walk up rate with my credit card. I was told Expedia never charged the room, but I don’t know that for sure as I have not received my statement for this timeframe. There is a possibility I will be overcharged once the statement comes. After a 30 minute ordeal just trying to get into the room I was told as I was exiting that the agent made a mistake and I would have to check out of one room and check back in to another room the next day even though it was on the same property. Being there for a funeral this was not convenient. The next morning I received a phone call at around 9 o’clock in the morning waking up my 93 your old father stating I would have to come down and cancel my previous reservations and rebook a new reservation if I needed to stay in the same room, or I could check out and check back in later in the day. The manager of the facility was very rude, condescending, and difficult to work with.

Check in was quick and staff was friendly. The curtains were torn and the TP holder was broken. I later found the pieces on the bathroom countertop. Told staff of my concerns and he went to write them in the log book.

Overall would not recommend staffing was rude canceled my reservation with no cause facility was dirty and was unsanitary.

I would not recommend anyone stay here. Very outdated and Lisa at the front desk was rude. Sketchy people constantly walking the parking lot. Appeared they were looking in vehicles. Didn't feel safe at all.

I was pleasantly surprised! Still not a high end hotel but for the cost savings it was worth the one night stay as we were traveling down the road. it did seem clean, staff was friendly, safe area and out of the “busy” area up the road where all the other hotels were. There was just one fast food place next door so anything else you would have to drive to. I would stay here again though b

The room was fine, roomy and comfortable bed. The shower and bathroom were wheel chair accessible. Except for the highway noise it was fine, The exterior needs some TLC and evidently Days Inn and Super 8 share the facilities. Except for a Dairy Queen all restaurants are a drive away across the freeway.

The price was right. A good place to spend the night. Mattress was good. I disliked the noise from the interstate but it did not keep me awake. There was a hairdryer in the room but we could not find a place to plug it in so it wasn't usable.

Room had a weird smell. Almost like a little stale smoke mixed with a damp smell. It was a non smoking room. They also allow pets so that may be bothering me a little. Woke up congested with irritated eyes. The bed spread had cigarette burns in it. Very basic setup. We were excited for breakfast but it was very limited and the muffins were MOLDY. Someone isn’t doing their job. No one was at the front desk to inform. I paid a little over $100 for the room as most everything around was booked. I feel slightly overcharged. Not the best, not the worst. Still way better than Sleep inn around the corner.

Breakfast mentioned in their site and booking page was somewhat misleading- they only have muffins and a small selection of cereal. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, nor stay there again.

Needed a stay for the night. Would have preferred a more complete breakfast, but everything was what we needed. A comfortable bed and hot shower.

no coffee maker in the room or coffee... breakfast was the worst excuse I have ever seen ): There is an old entrance at the far side of the hotel that must have been the check i for Super 8 or Days Inn and the overhang looks like it would fall on a car or person that walked or drove under it. Interstate 75 was right next to the rooms and it was very loud with traffic all night long. When I checked in I asked if they would take my AAA for a discount and they said since I booked with Expedia I couldn't have any discounts. No one mentioned if I wanted to have a coffee maker in my room I needed to ask for it and I could come up to the office and get it. I found that out at check out ): Never going back there
