Mercure Wagga Wagga

Great place all round in every way bar one! The main reason I booked this place was for the spa. Filled it, turned it on, all seemed great, but after a minute or two I started to notice a brown film around the edge. Was so thick it made my stomach turn. Was an absolutely horrible buildup of body fat and whatever other stuff you might get in there. My time in it was over!!

There was food under our bed and the pool was green.

The room was very clean, parking was easy and readily available. It was also spacious, there was enough desk space to work and very quiet at night. The mattress however was too soft, the carpet needs a good steam clean and the sheer curtain was torn and needed replacing. Would stay again, but recommend a few maintenance upgrades applied to the room for an improved stay.

Great hot water but the cabinets well used And warped and door of shower did not close Great front staff Nice pool and great since it was 39 degrees in wagga Wagga for two days We had the large suite Super clean Panasonic inverter was great thru the nite Only motel with equal artificial sweeteners Just a suggestion get a microwave for suites. Didn't get to try the breakfast but Great atmosphere tidy and heaps of interstate travellers

Nice, quiet, clean and parking onsite

The property is located a short distance from the main street of Wagga. Our room was spacious, clean and secure with ample parking for the car. While this hotel is quite large, it was very quiet and we did not hear anyone else even though the car park was quite full. Definitely stay again.

Lovely big rooms, very comfortable beds and good pillows, good pressured hot shower, free parking, nice pool within walking distance to town and easy walk to the oasis aquatic centre

Excellent location with parking by the door. I ate in the restaurant and the food was good. I don't know why more people don't eat here. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot.

hotel room was not as per expectation of big name of mercure group. The room was full of damp smell and smoke smell. Aircon was not working when we enter and did not work untill one hour when staff has to come to fix it. In the night it was off again and we were without good sleep. Noise was coming off and on from. surrounding rooms or exhaust system from other rooms. Overall its not worth it

Mattress was very poor and cockroaches were found in the room.

The room is pretty tired! Feels like it all needs a re-paint and new lighting. Room was clean and tidy, beds comfortable and towels were fine, but initial feeling was a little disappointing when arriving. My childs bare feet were dirty after running around in the room for a night so made me wonder how clean the floor really was!

Bit of a funny smell in the bathroom. Body wash dispenser in shower was pretty much empty.

An excellent area - close to the CBD but very quiet. Room was stylish & very clean. Couldn't have wished for anything better.

The room was disgusting. They’re very old and dated. There was old hair in the bathroom. The carpets were so foul I didn’t even want to walk on them and there was spiders webs. It was just off to pay over $200 for something that’s disgusting is a rip-off

Good standard for an overnight stay. Spacious room. The fit-out is starting to look a bit tired. Breakfast was very good. Would stay there again

TV didnt function and had to get assistance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Place is tired and needs a refurb.

Room very basic. Bad smell in room no tv reception had to change rooms. New room ok no extra pillows or blankets TV still not good.

Great location, very clean. The negatives the bathroom needs a revamp. They do not have toilet roll’s anymore. Beds were too soft. Loved the free Foxtel.

Very nice place to stay, room are basic but clean, there was no extra pillows, the beds are verrry soft, felt like your feet are way above your head the whole family , didn’t have a very good night sleep.

Room was nice and clean, bathroom was pretty squashy, a bit of an awkward spot to sit on the toilet. Wasn’t happy being woken by housekeeping when I had the Do not disturb tab on the door. I had to be up early to drop my mother at hospital for day surgery and was trying to grab a couple more hours sleep and was disturbed by knocking on door then door being opened by housekeeping before they realised I had requested not to be disturbed!

Everything with great, I will say the staff in the restaurant seemed unhappy (particularly one of them), I bumped into someone else who stayed there the same night as me and they had the same opinion of the restaurant staff (the same staff member too).

Messed up with my booking. First they couldn't find my booking, and then they said breakfast is not included while I had booked breakfast. The restaurant almost charged me for someone else's food. And after I asked for the bill they realised it was wrong. Overall, they're unapologetic.

Clean tidy motel, easy to access. Maybe another checkin staff member at peak check in time. Great menu options though didn’t access restaurant. Would definitely stay again

Great stopping point on long journey from melb to sydney. Hotel is really close to city centre and sport & rec facilities. Comfortable and clean but basic room. Enjoyed fab steaks at the hotel restaurant!!

Good place as a halfway stop. Rooms are simple but spacious. Wagga has a great river/beach close by.

Nice hotel, but it's laid out like a motel. I was hoping to be able to stay indoors while going to the restaurant for breakfast because it's cold in July, but other than that, it's a nice hotel in a good location. Breakfast buffet was good, beds were comfortable, staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Our room didn't have a bathtub, only a shower. I don't know if that applies to all rooms (for those of you who prefer baths).

Shower had some mould in it and breakfast hot food was cold if you didn’t get there right at the start. But staff were lovely, the place was quiet despite being booked out, and the room was generally comfortable.

Consistent quality with other Quest hotels. One Morgan Restaurant food and service was excellent.

Disappointing as the wotif and Mercure website state room service however on sundays/public holidays there’s no restaurant operating. After a long drive the last thing a traveller wants is to have to get in the car to find a restaurant. Wagga needs to step up here and offer room service everyday like normal hotels.

Restaurant was closed unfortunately. Would like a toaster in room.

Excellent location with parking by the door. I ate in the restaurant and the food was good. I don't know why more people don't eat here. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot.

Upon arrival, hotel seemed ok, quick check in, a little smaller than expected room, bathroom had lots of messy silicone repairs. Spent the afternoon in the hotel pool. Around 9pm my husband asked me where the breakfast was served, it was at this time realised I wasn't told anything at check in. After searching, found a sml QR code on the wall for the hotel information. Found out breakfast finishes at 9am (industry average 10am), also read that guests can enjoy free entry to the nearby aquatic centre, unfortunately it was far too late by then. Pity nothing was said at check in, our young son would have loved it. Went to have breakfast, arrived at 8:45am, and the Bain Marie was empty, asked staff about cooking some breakfast, unwilling at first, but reluctantly agreed, we were happy to wait. Went to eat my breakfast, after a few bites, I then noticed a black hair around my hash brown EEWWW!!! That was the end of breakfast for me and the rest of my family.  Told restaurant staff, they apologised, but didn't seem fussed, confirmed the chef indeed has black hair. Spoke with receptionist, and showed her photo, she went out the back and returned a min or so later asking 'is there anything else I can help you with?' Really?? How about breakfast without the chef's 'special seasoning'  Wouldn't return, there are plenty of options in Wagga Wagga that value their guests.

Comfortable stay. Milk at buffet breakfast was off but otherwise a nice offering. Condition of property was fine for the price.
