We had a wonderful stay at Royal Marmin Bay and highly recommend it. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is incredibly relaxing. The private beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the views are absolutely stunning. The spa was a real treat that added to the feeling of indulgence and calm. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, contributing to the overall welcoming and pleasant experience. That said, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The welcome drink offered was simply water, which felt underwhelming given the standard of the hotel — a small gesture that could have made a stronger first impression. The internal shuttle service around the property was slow and often unreliable, which was inconvenient given the steep terrain. Also, charging for coffee capsules in the room seems unnecessary for a hotel of this level — it's a small cost that would go a long way in elevating the guest experience. La vue est à couper le souffle, la piscine, les chaises hyper confos autour de celle-ci. Le buffet du déjeuner wow!! Le service 5 étoiles. La seule chose de négatif c'est la grandeur de la chambre et surtout de la salle de bain. Nous ne pouvions être deux dans la salle de bain et la douche inonde partout. La porte de la salle de bain qui nous ferme dessus( porte de bar) pour un 5 étoiles cette aspect là un peu désagréable.

Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal! Leider wird hier am falschen Ende gespart. Die Liegen am Pool und ganz besonders am Strand entsprechen keinem europäischen Hygiene Standard (teilweise stark verschmutzt und aufgerissen). Der Strand bzw. Beachclub macht eher einen tristen Eindruck. Tolle Aussicht direkt vom Hotelzimmer. Super Gym mit sehr gutem Trainer. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich leider aber immer die gleiche Auswahl. Die Getränke und Speisen im Hotel / Pool & Strand sind nicht angemessen beispielsweise für eine coca Cola 5€. Auf Nachfrage haben wir auch ein anderes „ Zimmer bekommen, da im ersten Zimmer die Dusche ausgelaufen ist.

Beautiful hotel with great private beach. Location is rather isolated but they do their best to provide anything you need. Food and beverages are rather expensive but expected.

It is the gem of Crete and the best spot in Elounta. Loved every second of it! Food was off the dial and top notch and the only hotel with the best private beach! Special shout out to Gregor and Chris, and all the other friends we made! Best of the best! A true five star! Can’t wait to go back and nice and early in 2024! Must try Samurai Sushi as it is the best sushi and sashimi I ever tried and I am from Vancouver Canada which is known for top notch Japanese. Poseidon is a must as well and special thanks to Marianna and her team!

This was a great hotel with a Fantastic breakfast! The staff are very kind and helpful! There are 2 main reasons we rated this stay a 4 out of 5. 1). The floor tiles are Extremely slippery when wet. Be very careful getting out of the shower!! 2) The food and drinks around the pool and beach are way way overpriced! We observed most people just ordering water….the hotel really should consider lowering their prices.

We had a fantastic stay at Royal Marmin although got off to a rocky start as we were shown to an unmade room and then substituted to a 'holding room' until they could allocate a sea view room the next day. Given it was our honeymoon, which we'd notified of beforehand, this was disappointing. The rest of the stay was great though. Lovely hotel in a great spot.

I liked the location. It was close to both Plaka and to Elounda the town. What I didn't like was the hotels beach front and the showers in the rooms.

Loved the ambiance. The staff are kind, attentive. When we needed the services of a doctor they were helpful and arranged everything we needed. Very hilly, but they are quick to offer services of a golf cart/club cart. Rooms beautiful, elegant, full of opulence. Breakfast buffet well stocked and great options.

A beautiful spectacular scenery resort. Sea view rooms with wonderful full choice breakfast buffet. Special thanks to Vicky customer care at reception and super thanks to Mario who was so helpful at any hour, funny and a big asset to the hotel.

La seule chose de négatif c'est la grandeur de la chambre et surtout de la salle de bain. Nous ne pouvions être deux dans la salle de bain et la douche inonde partout. La porte de la salle de bain qui nous ferme dessus( porte de bar) pour un 5 étoiles cette aspect là un peu désagréable.
La vue est à couper le souffle, la piscine, les chaises hyper confos autour de celle-ci. Le buffet du déjeuner wow!! Le service 5 étoiles. We had a fantastic stay at Royal Marmin although got off to a rocky start as we were shown to an unmade room and then substituted to a 'holding room' until they could allocate a sea view room the next day. Given it was our honeymoon, which we'd notified of beforehand, this was disappointing. The rest of the stay was great though. Lovely hotel in a great spot.

We had a wonderful stay at Royal Marmin Bay and highly recommend it. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is incredibly relaxing. The private beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the views are absolutely stunning. The spa was a real treat that added to the feeling of indulgence and calm. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, contributing to the overall welcoming and pleasant experience. That said, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The welcome drink offered was simply water, which felt underwhelming given the standard of the hotel — a small gesture that could have made a stronger first impression. The internal shuttle service around the property was slow and often unreliable, which was inconvenient given the steep terrain. Also, charging for coffee capsules in the room seems unnecessary for a hotel of this level — it's a small cost that would go a long way in elevating the guest experience. Despite these minor points, our overall impression of Royal Marmin Bay remains very positive. It’s a stunning, peaceful destination that delivers on beauty, comfort, and relaxation. We would happily return and highly recommend it to others.

Loved the ambiance. The staff are kind, attentive. When we needed the services of a doctor they were helpful and arranged everything we needed. Very hilly, but they are quick to offer services of a golf cart/club cart. Rooms beautiful, elegant, full of opulence. Breakfast buffet well stocked and great options.

Ate at both restaurants on the property - both of which were absolutely outstanding! Highly recommend. Food was divine and the staff at both places went above and beyond. Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal! Leider wird hier am falschen Ende gespart. Die Liegen am Pool und ganz besonders am Strand entsprechen keinem europäischen Hygiene Standard (teilweise stark verschmutzt und aufgerissen). Der Strand bzw. Beachclub macht eher einen tristen Eindruck. Tolle Aussicht direkt vom Hotelzimmer. Super Gym mit sehr gutem Trainer. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich leider aber immer die gleiche Auswahl. Die Getränke und Speisen im Hotel / Pool & Strand sind nicht angemessen beispielsweise für eine coca Cola 5€. Auf Nachfrage haben wir auch ein anderes „ Zimmer bekommen, da im ersten Zimmer die Dusche ausgelaufen ist.

Vi havde en fantastisk uge ved Elounda, og boede på dette guddommelige sted. Lever på alle måder op til 5 stjerner. Fred og ro og med smukkestes udsigt over bugten. Vi mødte ægte venlighed og imødekommenhed fra alle ansatte, og fik følelsen af at alt kan lade sig gøre. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage.

This was a great hotel with a Fantastic breakfast! The staff are very kind and helpful! There are 2 main reasons we rated this stay a 4 out of 5. 1). The floor tiles are Extremely slippery when wet. Be very careful getting out of the shower!! 2) The food and drinks around the pool and beach are way way overpriced! We observed most people just ordering water….the hotel really should consider lowering their prices.

It is the gem of Crete and the best spot in Elounta. Loved every second of it! Food was off the dial and top notch and the only hotel with the best private beach! Special shout out to Gregor and Chris, and all the other friends we made! Best of the best! A true five star! Can’t wait to go back and nice and early in 2024! Must try Samurai Sushi as it is the best sushi and sashimi I ever tried and I am from Vancouver Canada which is known for top notch Japanese. Poseidon is a must as well and special thanks to Marianna and her team!

Very friendly staff and clean place with a great view,food is good,location is good on a 2 min drive to busy area. Downside, the Room door is paper thin so I was woken up at night or morning by noise from other guests,would of also been nicer if they would provide complimentary coffee in the room as they charged for water and coffee that is used in the room.

This is simply a stunningly located hotel on a very steep hillside. The views are epic. The hotel has 3 main external lifts to beach level or a free electric buggy service to take you up / down the levels if you don't want / can't walk. Poolside staff excellent, sun umbrellas to all sunbeds and attentive polite, English speaking staff. Inclusive breakfast is buffet style , but there everything you could possibly want . Evening meal if you choose it was buffet again which we had once at 30 euros each. Again plenty of food, but we decided to eat in local restaurants in Elounda. When we visited the optional supplement restaurants at the hotel weren't up and running, but Elounda is a 30 minute walk or 5 mins by car/ taxi. Couldn't fault room cleaning, fresh towels daily. We used the gym which is excellent , opens at 0700. We didn't use the spa. It's basically a massage and beauty treatment centre. Local tourist tax for a week was 100 euros ISH and our bar bills 120. All accurately recorded. Would I go again? In a heartbeat. We went 26/4 to 3/5. It's clear the hotel was just opening up for the season. We had 4 days at 22-24 degrees which was hot enough to get a sun tan. 3 days overcast and some light showers. The whole area is generally breezy which helps keep you cool.

All accurately recorded. Would I go again? In a heartbeat. We went 26/4 to 3/5. It's clear the hotel was just opening up for the season. We had 4 days at 22-24 degrees which was hot enough to get a sun tan. 3 days overcast and some light showers. The whole area is generally breezy which helps keep you cool.
