A basic but comfortable Hostel in the centre of Bath. Top floor Showers do not have hot water however pro tip is the 1st floor showers are electric so you can get your hot shower there. The 3 bed bunks are very uncomfortable - however it was good enough for 1 night stay in Bath.

Worth it for solo travellers. Washrooms are clean, staff is friendly, there's a big cafe like area where you can eat or prepare food. Located at 10 mins walk from Bath bus station. Only issue of dormitory is ventilation when it gets hot and if you've got loud snorers at night. Rest no issues about this property.

Friendly helpful staff. Washrooms clean. Good canteen facilities . The only negative is there is no parking, apart from that excellent vale for the money you are payin.

It’s a good hostel for a short stay, the showers seem to be brand new and the place is quite clean. There was a really weird smell in my dorm though (it was a mixed dorm) and some people were REALLY noisy. One of them would pace back and forth between the bunks in the morning, which was bizarre. Some had had too much to drink and others seemed quite hostile. As if other people had it easier than them… Just because people don’t complain it doesn’t mean they have a cushy life. One of my gripes about the hostel is that some of the areas (the dorms, the shower rooms, the kitchen) are closed at certain times of the day. It does make it easier for them to clean however if you forgot something in your room, or get up too late to take a shower, it’s irritating.

The guy manning the reception was lovely, very warm and enthusiastic, and good at staying on top of all the guests checking in and coming to the desk with various queries. There was only 1 other lady in my dorm and she was very quiet so I managed to grab a good night's sleep. I used the small launderette, it's very cheap (£3 if you bring your own washing powder) and it saves you a walk to the laundromat and back (not great when it's cold and damp, especially on the way back). It's only open between noon and 10pm and one of the washing machines was out of order and neither dryer are very 'hard working', I used the 'white' settings and my clothes were still slightly damp after the 40 minutes cycle. However, for the price, I can't complain. I really enjoyed being able to cook an evening meal and although some of the people staying there can be a little too chatty, they usually leave you alone when they realize you're not interesting in 'sharing' etc. I have yet to use the gym, one of my former colleagues used to go there to try and 'hook up' with women in their 30s and 40s, single, divorced, or unhappily married. He was in his 20s and married, but his wife was pregnant, so he claimed he was 'forced' to look elsewhere... I do hope there aren't too many characters like him at that gym, I don't think he was successful though, he moved on to another gym in Bath then got a job in Bristol.

Good location, parking available nearby. Bathroom was adequate but not particularly clean or well serviced as one toilet was not bolted properly to the floor and moves…. Room was clean and beds comfortable.

Although a hostel, it offers single and other private rooms, which was my case. The room was big enough with a few hangers, a chest of drawers, a lamp, an armchair and washbasin. The toilets and showers are shared in sufficient numbers for both sexes. There us a huge kitchen/canteen and a common room.on the ground floor. The staff I met were all smiling and helpful.
Although a hostel, it offers single and other private rooms, which was my case. The room was big enough with a few hangers, a chest of drawers, a lamp, an armchair and washbasin. The toilets and showers are shared in sufficient numbers for both sexes. There us a huge kitchen/canteen and a common room.on the ground floor. The staff I met were all smiling and helpful.

Was visiting Bath for an evening concert, and wanted a cheap bed to crash in. This was fine - providing you're happy in a dorm. The bedding was fresh and clean. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent. Checking in and out was all straightforward. There are lockers available - but you have to bring your own padlock. Incredible value if you just need a bed for the night!

Great location and friendly and very helpful staff. Facilities especially guest kitchen need updating. No fridge available. Rooms weren't properly cleaned (crumbs under bed) and bedding stained. Rooms could do with updating, mattresses terrible and bed shoke every time someone moved in their sleep (we had bunk beds). You get what you pay for I suppose.

Really enjoyed our stay, fantastic value for money! Great location, very central and over night parking available near by. The room was a good size, very clean and comfy beds. The staff are really helpful and polite. Would recommend.

The shower was disgusting, there was black mold. The bedspread had blood on it an it was not from me. The beds were so uncomfortable. The breakfast was ok that is offered, the staff was nice. It’s 2.50 for a towel if you don’t have one. There are lots of older folks that stay there.

I am writing to request assistance regarding a refund issue for a recent booking. Upon arrival at our accommodation, we found the room to be in an unsatisfactory condition, as the floor had not been cleaned. After informing the hostel staff, they offered to change our room. However, the alternative room did not meet our needs, so we decided to remain in the original room, which I cleaned myself. The hostel staff were very supportive and offered a £15 refund for the inconvenience, which they processed and transferred to Expedia, as the booking was made through your platform. I would now like to request that this refund be credited to my original payment method.

The property is in the heart of Bath and plenty of amenities and things to do around. Inside it is clean (bathrooms and even kitchen) and pretty secure. However, you may be kept awake by the noise from outside - whether it is the traveler's chatting in the outside garden at 2am or an occasional passing bus. Overall, a good place to stay!

Ask if they could put hand soap in the dispensers for the womens washroom and was ignored. Very economical accommodation, but could have been cleaner. Never felt unsafe though.

Brilliant central location and staff were lovely and helpful. The room was a great size and had an ensuite shower room. Some cleanliness of the ensuite was lacking, and there was noise of people in the shower rooms and toilets near our room, but everything else was really good.

When I arrived to the room, the bed wasn’t made and there was no bedding. They kindly provided it after, but the bed disn’t have all the chrtains for privacy and the little lamp didn’t work.

Front desk staff was awesome - he was super helpful and accommodating. Gave us some tips on places to go around the area. Location was perfect, close to everything!

The front desk staff were so friendly and very helpful. This place is very good value and so conveniently located. If you’re a light sleeper bring some ear plugs as the birds are early risers. We were overall happy with everything.

staff favour opinion of older customers rather than all customers. I find 1 member of staff who was english to be very nice some members of staff not english to be very rude and dismissive almost militant. ok hostel but expect aggravation

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Hostel was clean and tidy. Great location for exploring the city of Bath.Lots of noise outside, but in a city centre on a Saturday night that was to be expected. Take earplugs! Otherwise fabulous, would definitely stay again.

We came to the room we figured out that heating and Wi-Fi are not working in our room(double room, ensute). We spent 2 hours there waiting for heating. (13-14 degrees Celsius inside the room) Receptionist told us that they are fully booked and we have only 2 options, get refund and move to another place or get another blanket as they can do nothing about that. We decided to move out as that was extremely cold inside. We contacted Expedia same day about refund, Expedia could not even call them that day(nobody was replying) Now I got the email that manager refused refund. Unreliable staff They are not picking up the phone Promised to make a refund and rejected to do refund in 2 days when I’m not in the city already Terrible service!!! As a result we got sick and didn’t get a refund…

The guy manning the reception was lovely, very warm and enthusiastic, and good at staying on top of all the guests checking in and coming to the desk with various queries. There was only 1 other lady in my dorm and she was very quiet so I managed to grab a good night's sleep. I used the small launderette, it's very cheap (£3 if you bring your own washing powder) and it saves you a walk to the laundromat and back (not great when it's cold and damp, especially on the way back). It's only open between noon and 10pm and one of the washing machines was out of order and neither dryer are very 'hard working', I used the 'white' settings and my clothes were still slightly damp after the 40 minutes cycle. However, for the price, I can't complain. I really enjoyed being able to cook an evening meal and although some of the people staying there can be a little too chatty, they usually leave you alone when they realize you're not interesting in 'sharing' etc. I have yet to use the gym, one of my former colleagues used to go there to try and 'hook up' with women in their 30s and 40s, single, divorced, or unhappily married. He was in his 20s and married, but his wife was pregnant, so he claimed he was 'forced' to look elsewhere... I do hope there aren't too many characters like him at that gym, I don't think he was successful though, he moved on to another gym in Bath then got a job in Bristol.

Although a hostel, it offers single and other private rooms, which was my case. The room was big enough with a few hangers, a chest of drawers, a lamp, an armchair and washbasin. The toilets and showers are shared in sufficient numbers for both sexes. There us a huge kitchen/canteen and a common room.on the ground floor. The staff I met were all smiling and helpful.

Ask if they could put hand soap in the dispensers for the womens washroom and was ignored. Very economical accommodation, but could have been cleaner. Never felt unsafe though.

Really enjoyed our stay, fantastic value for money! Great location, very central and over night parking available near by. The room was a good size, very clean and comfy beds. The staff are really helpful and polite. Would recommend.

Wonderful staff. Cannot beat the location and very good value for money. Building is safe, clean and quiet and everyone is respectful. The reception desk is staffed 24/7. There is a pub or tavern next door that is loud but it shuts down around midnight. The seagulls make the most noise and I like that noise. We were within 5 minutes walk of the Roman Baths, Abbey, Georgian Bridge, ten minutes from the Royal Crescent and had access to a lovely grocery store and awesome restaurants, coffee shops and lovely shops. I highly recommend.

Great location making all the main attractions as well as transport stations easily walkable. Relatively quiet and great sized room (I had the private double) Bathroom is a nice size but would be nice to have toiletries included for the private room, even refillable ones within the shower as they do by the sink for hand-washing.

The property is in the heart of Bath and plenty of amenities and things to do around. Inside it is clean (bathrooms and even kitchen) and pretty secure. However, you may be kept awake by the noise from outside - whether it is the traveler's chatting in the outside garden at 2am or an occasional passing bus. Overall, a good place to stay!

Brilliant central location and staff were lovely and helpful. The room was a great size and had an ensuite shower room. Some cleanliness of the ensuite was lacking, and there was noise of people in the shower rooms and toilets near our room, but everything else was really good.

Great value and a really comfortable night. Booked a family room and found it clean and with easy access to toilets and showers. Arrived very late but staff were on reception to welcome us. Breakfast options were good and the dining room is cheerful and clean. Would definitely stay again.

WOW! This hostel is my favorite! My family and I traveled in Europe for 3 weeks and stayed in everything from 5 star hotels to a castle to hostiles. This hostile was clean, safe, and the staff was incredibly helpful, polite, and accommodating. We needed to do laundry and it wasn't done by 10pm (when it should close). The staff said, no worries! The free breakfast was cereal and fresh fruit and yogurt. Everyone found something they liked. Overall, it was a great experience!

Was visiting Bath for an evening concert, and wanted a cheap bed to crash in. This was fine - providing you're happy in a dorm. The bedding was fresh and clean. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent. Checking in and out was all straightforward. There are lockers available - but you have to bring your own padlock. Incredible value if you just need a bed for the night!

Management was so helpful. Bernie manger went out of his way in answering any questions or if we needed help with something. Great breakfast on weekends. Its an easy walk to Abby and Baths.

El YMCA tiene una ubicación cercana a todos los puntos de interés de bath, el personal es muy gentil y dispuesto a explicarte todo. El lugar es un hostal tranquilo con comodidad para cocinar si quieres, lavar tu ropa y hacer ejercicio, además de tener una terraza para leer o conversar para pasar la tarde. Las habitaciones son individuales y tienen el lavamanos dentro que ayuda a tu comodidad. La limpieza del lugar es buena. Mi única recomendación sería mejorar la presión del agua en la ducha. Totalmente recomendable

Helpful staff, and a laundromat. Slow wifi, banister a bit dodgy but the showers are new. I was in a 15-bed dorm which was almost empty, I think they try and set beds aside in case the weather gets too cold and homeless people around Bath need to be put up in an emergency. I overheard the staff taking calls from a charity who who were looking for somewhere to stay for one of their clients. My main gripe was that on the 2nd evening a young lady moved into the dorm and acted as if she'd rented the whole dorm, taking up all the place on the one clothes rack in the room for instance, and on the one table in front of the mirror. She chatted on her phone until 1am and the next morning, she got up before 7am, was noisy, and was still not dressed (i.e. was still in her bathrobe, sitting at the table in front of the mirror and applying various cosmetics, some of them quite smelly) when I left at 10am. The next evening she was quieter but there was a young Indian lady who masturbated in the bunk underneath mine, several times during the night, which woke me up. Both women were quite noisy in the morning again, and just couldn't get ready. Both times there was someone else in the dorm besides me, and there were unhappy too. On the last morning, the Asian lady actually made a long video call in the dorm (while doing her make up), that ended in an argument. I'm on a 0-hour contract and work shifts (night, 6am start etc.) following a cancer diagnosis so I really need my sleep.
