This is a really charming motel that would be lots of fun for families with kids. It is in a great setting up against the forest close to Acadia National Park and close to the harbor and the town. The grounds has playgrounds, a pool, forest trail access, bocce ball, s’mores nights, board games in the lobby, etc. Inside, the rooms are clean and comfortable and we appreciated that the motel limits plastic, which is important to us. Great breakfast and helpful staff.

This was our first time staying at Bar Harbor Motel and we were very pleased. The motel is super cute, very clean, good amenities and the staff were very friendly and informative. A great experience overall!

Loved this property for a weekend getaway with the husband! Super close to Acadia, which was our destination. The motel has a cute vibe. LOVED their morning breakfast spread. We didn't take advantage of the "community" events that they offered (movie night, smores, etc), but it is fun that they offer things. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area.

We were so pleased with the Bar Harbor Motel. Everything about it was fantastic. Breakfast each morning was great…usually scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, French toast, and the usual cereal reads and juices. It appears to have been recently renovated, or maybe just very well cared for. Kitschy in the best way. MCM vibes everywhere. You could not ask for more gorgeous surroundings. While we were there the pool was re-plastered…evidence of their commitment to maintaining their property.they have a list of things the hotel can provide such as walking sticks, beach accessories, and even binoculars. We were there at the very tail end of the season…Oct. 27-30. Many places in Bar Harbor had already closed for the season on Oct 25. We still found lots to see and enjoy. I would highly recommend the Bar Harbor Motel and we plan to return in the near future. Of note… the walk into town from this motel is about 1 1/4 miles.

The breakfast was great with so many options for adults and kids. Our kids also loved the s’mores by the fire pit one and the playground and swings. My husband and I appreciated the separate bedroom for the kids in the family room we stayed in.
