The worst experience I've ever had staying at a motel, by far. At check in the desk clerk was gossiping with someone on the phone and seemed annoyed with us. He said to wait for a moment and went to another room to continue gossiping. After about 5min we got the key to the room and it has not been cleaned and smelled moldy. Went back to let the clerk know and it was a solid 10 min while he tried to figure out what room to put us in. When he finally figured it out, he couldn't find the key for the new room. Ended up giving us the master key so we could get in and said he would call a locksmith. After a while we got our own key. The lamp was falling apart and as I was trying to move it I found a piece of a meth pipe. Our friend was supposed to sleep on the pull out sofa, when we pulled it out the sheets were dirty. We found some 'clean' linens on a shelf, both had enormous stains on them and the extra blanket had cigarette burn holes in it. Besides that, pool and breakfast are not on-site, they are a block down the road so it was very inconvenient to access either. Not that you would want to. Breakfast was cereal, stale bread and yogurt. The only saving grace was the waffle machine. The pool looked suspicious and the hot tub had a green tinge to it. I will never stay at the Westerly or at the Days Inn associated with it. (That was where the pool and breakfast were). I literally can't say enough bad things about this place, I'm lucky I didn't get bed bugs.

The pictures and condition of this property are in no way indictive of the current condition. I imagine they were taken when the property was refurbished many years prior. It was in general disrepair, window screens broken or missing, doorknobs and locks that appeared to be cheap and unsecure and that was without access to see the condition of the actual rooms. It is operated by Days Inn down the street, that is where the amenities (pool, spa, continental breakfast) are located and there is no one on site to check in or provide assistance. We arrived pre-check-in to find some people drinking and smoking in close proximity to where our room would have been located. We traveled to Days Inn and asked to see a room and the reception desk told us there weren't any available to look at, that the cleaning crew was delay and that the room would not be available until after the posted time. After additional consideration, we decided to forego our stay. I attempted to receive a refund but was told to no refunds, no exceptions. This property is totally unacceptable base on the pictures represented and one would be wise to consider other options. It's a very poor business practice to refuse a refund based on the conditions being different than what is represented. It appears to be a quaint older motel, we found it to be anything but.

Very clean room comfy bed. Pool was crunchy big globs of hair to dodge. Hot tub perfect. They really trying hard to fix the place up. The breakfast good, they had doots open all the time so mass flies in the way. Guess they hungry too. I booked Westerly Motel but the sign said check in at Days Inn. Across street at Days no hello or welcome. Joshua at desk busy talking to maintenance so i felt i was interruption In fact i don't think he has customer experience I had to interrupt him a few times while there never say hi and acknowledged me.the hospitality staff very courteous. Dont think i will be back.

First thing was we had to check-in at an entirely different hotel which was not expected at all. Second, within minutes of looking at the room the shower curtain slammed onto the floor before we even entered the bathroom and when I picked it up it was soaking wet. The coffee maker not only already had old water in it but was cracked all over the place. The paper cups were stuck together as if they were stacked wet. The couch cushions were very stained, the blanket on the bed was MAJORLY stained and actually moist with holes. The towels in the bathroom were already wet as well. The windows in the bedroom and bathroom were open upon arrival, and the bedroom had a hole in the wall from the door knob. There was no air conditioning or ability to adjust the thermostat to a cooler temperature so it was very hot and very muggy. The bathroom door wouldn't lock even with the push button lock. Our key didn't seem to lock the front door from the outside and had to be locked from the inside when we would leave. Amenities like the pool, hot tub and breakfast mentioned in the booking site were at the separate hotel we had to check-in. The pool actually had a section of the ceiling that seemed heavily damaged and almost falling in. I absolutely would not recommend this facility to anyone especially for a charge of $175 for one night. And definitely hope for some sort of refund.

Good spot for last minute booking. Definitely paying for what you get a little funky. Room number 7 wasnt bad, we did have room number 9 first but wasn't enough room (felt very stuffy in room number 9) sheets were sandy in bed, but shower was nice and room seemed decently cleaned.I would recommended having all white sheets for a more cleanliness feel. I would stay there again if being in a bind. Good location to all restaurants. They offered a simple continental breakfast across the street along with pool and hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

When booking our family stay, the photos look way better then in person. We switched rooms 2 times, thought I was getting a queen with a pull out sofa, 1 st room had a chase and small recliner and small bed. Moved to second room and it was not clean, dirt and hair all over the bathroom. Pull out couch was dirty, did not want my kids to sleep on it, there was a dirty broken recliner in the room also. 3rd room, we switched to we had one with a kitchenette. Twin pull out bed and small very uncomfortable bed low to ground, bed room doors can not close, and no walk space. My son slept on a twin, i had to use the couch cushions for my daughter to sleep on and baby in the kitchen in her play pen. Overall not worth the money. We got to walk and eat breakfast and swim in the pool, but there was flies everywhere and the pool water was not the cleanest....this stay cost over $300 and is not worth the price. The staff were helpful but overall not a clean or big enough space, pictures make it look nicer then what it is.

The room was small but updated and clean. Need was comfortable. Only one bar of soap for both sink and shower. Dining room at Days Inn was a big negative! Not clean, dead bugs, a coffee pot from one of the rooms just sitting happy on a table of "stuff",half empty containers and empty boxes just sitting around. A guy came to fill it replace the juice and dropped it across the floor then left the mess. Regular the napkins but some feel in the floor and he just walked of and left them. It did not feel clean.

Its fine for a night. Its small. But it feels unsafe. The door jam is coming off the wall and thats what the chain lock is attached to. Theres a hole in the bathroom where the fan is, letting in cold air. We put a towel at bottom of door and kept it closed all night. The remotes didnt work to control the volume. Couldn't sleep with tv on which i like but thats ok. No cups in the room for coffee. The blankets were super thin. And it smelled like mildew. Like i said, good for a night but i would have had a problem staying longer.

The room smelled terrible from the initial opening of the door. It smelled of mold, dampness and just moldy/must. The bed was made with fitted sheet, damp blanket, flat sheet and then another damp blanket. The blankets had holes that looked like cigarette burns and there was stitching on at least one of them. The floors were uneven and absolutely terrible. The LVP was torn up either from the bed or from a hammer. The bathroom was disgusting. The towels were laid out on the top of the toilet covering the push button. The toilet paper was sitting on top of that as the toilet paper holder was torn from the wall, thankfully either thrown away or hidden, but still gone. It was incredibly odd that I had to go to the Days Inn nearby to get my keys. I honestly wish I had stayed there instead. I will never stay here again, and I would never recommend anyone ever stay there.

This motel is filthy and a total SCAM. My family of 4 booked a room with a bed and pull-out couch, the pull-out was UNUSABLE. It had literal dried dog poop on it (or at least I hope it was from a dog), it was covered in black hairs, and had red and black stains. The rooms reek of cigarettes and mold. The floor was covered in sand. The "indoor pool and free breakfast" exist at the Days Inn a block and a half away. There is no golf course that I saw...this is all false advertising. We got in late with young kids so had to stay the first night. In the morning I spoke with the owner Jill who told me she would honor a refund for our next two nights despite the booking being nonrefundable. When I contacted Hotels.com and they contacted Jill, she refused a refund and instead offered a ridiculous coupon for a future 2 night stay... On the second night we were supposed to be there, the motel contacted me at 9PM to confirm we weren't coming back so they could double-book the room for a different family despite having charged me for the full 3 nights. DO NOT STAY HERE.
This motel is filthy and a total SCAM. My family of 4 booked a room with a bed and pull-out couch, the pull-out was UNUSABLE. It had literal dried dog poop on it (or at least I hope it was from a dog), it was covered in black hairs, and had red and black stains. The rooms reek of cigarettes and mold. The room was you get what you pay for! I am not a perfectionist so was able to tolerate any downfalls, It was clean yet aged. So go for it, we are planning to return as the room was almost half priced AND it is the closest hotel to the beach, walking time about 3-4 minutes in Ocean Shores.

The room was small but updated and clean. Need was comfortable. Only one bar of soap for both sink and shower. Dining room at Days Inn was a big negative! Not clean, dead bugs, a coffee pot from one of the rooms just sitting happy on a table of "stuff",half empty containers and empty boxes just sitting around. A guy came to fill it replace the juice and dropped it across the floor then left the mess. Regular the napkins but some feel in the floor and he just walked of and left them. It did not feel clean.

I was on a tight budget; you get what you pay for. The recliner didn’t recline as the handle to put feet up did nothing. Although there was a mini pot to heat water there was no way/ place to plug it in unless you sat under the counter. Wifi was sketchy. But I was there for the ocean. Bed was comfy.

The staff was willing to listen. Not willing to accommodate to relocate our room or refund either of our 2 day stay. This was to due to very thin walls and able to hear others having sex and aruging. I didnt feel safe with my son or on our yealry vaction to ocean shores happy and at ease. Room was every small, bedroom only had a large bed and couldnt close bedroom door or walk around bed. Tv was not able to watch tv. Had to connect my own account to watch tv. Sleep didnt happen for me because i was on alert the whole time. Had to walk a block away for morning breakfast and coffee and towles and to use to pool. I hope they do make changes as to a smaller bed and maybe a tv in bedroom and moving guest when there are children present.

To check-in you have to go accross the steet to days inn. When we arrived days inn could not find the reservation which I showed them the confirmation number. After 20 minutes they finally found the reservation and checked us in. When we arrived to the room, it was not the one with a kitchen which we paid more for. The place is old with uneven floors a ramp to get into the bathroom. The wall art was not hanging on the wall it was sitting on the floor with a table pushed up against it. Very small parking lot. It was cheap.

We stayed at the westerly six years ago and had a pleasant experience so we rebooked it six year later expecting the same thing. We showed up and the room we had was next to a room with an eviction notice on the door. The person in this room had their garbage spilling out the front door. Their van that was parked in front of their room was filled to the brim with garbage. People were walking around the building and walking into that room. You could hear their conversations through the wall. The WiFi wouldn’t work. There was agressive dogs on the property. We went to the days inn (which the same owner owns) and asked to be switched to that property. The owner was sitting at the desk with the front desk girl when we came forward with our concerns and walked away saying “the wifi doesn’t work” that was his biggest concern not the homeless people taking over his motel. He left her to clean up his mess he allowed to stay like a coward. We were told that during the off season he rents out rooms monthly at both places and you could tell at both properties people were living there. Save your money and book somewhere else. These properties are not safe for families or dogs and are poorly managed and the owner clearly doesn’t care about the safety of guests and only about filling his pocketbook.

The westerly is run by the Days Inn across the street - a poster in the window at westerly said to check in over there and that’s also where we asked for extra bedding. The westerly is an old school motel with parking right outside the room doors. The walls are paper thin. This place got the job done for what we needed: a quick place to stay for the night between hiking stops. That said, we felt dirty the whole time, floors and furniture. Also our room was definitely and noticeably on a slight slant. Side note: we ran out of toilet paper fairly quick and just decided to hold it upon leaving. Also, there were no bath towels and again decided waiting to shower was a risk worth taking.

Room was not level fridge & living room side table were slanted. No linens for extra bed & only 2 towels in the room. Rooms definitely have moisture problems. Guy working the front desk wasn't friendly at all but the girl working the evening shift was very nice & helpful & got us bedding & their last 2 towels. Breakfast was disappointing, same guy was just sitting at the desk instead of replenishing breakfast items...waffle mix, eggs & juices were all empty! Bees were everywhere ...wasn't terrible but definitely room for improvement

We were told in the booking there were two beds and that the room had cooking facilities. There was one bed, no cooking facilities, no night stands on which to put necessary items. The toilet paper was sitting on the window sill and was rough and of poor quality. The clerk tried charging $10.00 extra per hour for early check in, and he argued about trivial matters. The room was cramped, and the hairdryer and bathroom fan were out of order. It was the worst place I have ever stayed in.

It was clean and close to everything and I liked having a kitchen, however I feel like the pictures are a little misleading. It was very small and the walls were very thin. We were able to use pool at Days inn so this was a plus.

The worst experience I've ever had staying at a motel, by far. At check in the desk clerk was gossiping with someone on the phone and seemed annoyed with us. He said to wait for a moment and went to another room to continue gossiping. After about 5min we got the key to the room and it has not been cleaned and smelled moldy. Went back to let the clerk know and it was a solid 10 min while he tried to figure out what room to put us in. When he finally figured it out, he couldn't find the key for the new room. Ended up giving us the master key so we could get in and said he would call a locksmith. After a while we got our own key. The lamp was falling apart and as I was trying to move it I found a piece of a meth pipe. Our friend was supposed to sleep on the pull out sofa, when we pulled it out the sheets were dirty. We found some 'clean' linens on a shelf, both had enormous stains on them and the extra blanket had cigarette burn holes in it. Besides that, pool and breakfast are not on-site, they are a block down the road so it was very inconvenient to access either. Not that you would want to. Breakfast was cereal, stale bread and yogurt. The only saving grace was the waffle machine. The pool looked suspicious and the hot tub had a green tinge to it. I will never stay at the Westerly or at the Days Inn associated with it. (That was where the pool and breakfast were). I literally can't say enough bad things about this place, I'm lucky I didn't get bed bugs.

Very clean room comfy bed. Pool was crunchy big globs of hair to dodge. Hot tub perfect. They really trying hard to fix the place up. The breakfast good, they had doots open all the time so mass flies in the way. Guess they hungry too. I booked Westerly Motel but the sign said check in at Days Inn. Across street at Days no hello or welcome. Joshua at desk busy talking to maintenance so i felt i was interruption In fact i don't think he has customer experience I had to interrupt him a few times while there never say hi and acknowledged me.the hospitality staff very courteous. Dont think i will be back.

It is an older facility, but in fairly decent condition. The room is very small, especially the bathroom. I must commend Kira the onsite manager, she was very accommodating to remedy a couple of issues.

Do not stay here if you do , do not book through Expedia. I was charged twice through Expedia and the hotel and after showing them proof (that they asked for) they still refused to give me back one of my refunds. So basically i lose an $112 for nothing. I emailed them my bank statement showing clearly both charges and still nothing.

Pulled into the parking lot and saw a red minivan full of household items, with a blanket covering the sliding door. Another beat up car was parked across from it with a chained up dog beside it. This is the hotel that the semi homeless drug addicts stay at. Our unit looked nothing like the photos and was dirty. It was also tiny, way too small for us and our two small children, uncle and niece. It was the only place available for a not very well planned getaway on short notice. The listing photos are extremely misleading. They also Do Not have a pool or breakfast on site, you have to drive down the street to the Days inn that is owned by the same person, and this is somehow considered an amenity of the Westerly. The front desk lady was however awesome, gave me a full refund when I went and checked out early. She was very aware of the issues that tend to occur at the Westerly. They are working on fixing it up and someday it may be the charming place we thought it could have been.

Good spot for last minute booking. Definitely paying for what you get a little funky. Room number 7 wasnt bad, we did have room number 9 first but wasn't enough room (felt very stuffy in room number 9) sheets were sandy in bed, but shower was nice and room seemed decently cleaned.I would recommended having all white sheets for a more cleanliness feel. I would stay there again if being in a bind. Good location to all restaurants. They offered a simple continental breakfast across the street along with pool and hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ended up giving us the master key so we could get in and said he would call a locksmith. After a while we got our own key. The lamp was falling apart and as I was trying to move it I found a piece of a meth pipe. Our friend was supposed to sleep on the pull out sofa, when we pulled it out the sheets were dirty. We found some 'clean' linens on a shelf, both had enormous stains on them and the extra blanket had cigarette burn holes in it. Besides that, pool and breakfast are not on-site, they are a block down the road so it was very inconvenient to access either. Not that you would want to. Breakfast was cereal, stale bread and yogurt. The only saving grace was the waffle machine. The pool looked suspicious and the hot tub had a green tinge to it. I will never stay at the Westerly or at the Days Inn associated with it. (That was where the pool and breakfast were). I literally can't say enough bad things about this place, I'm lucky I didn't get bed bugs.

The pictures and condition of this property are in no way indictive of the current condition. I imagine they were taken when the property was refurbished many years prior. It was in general disrepair, window screens broken or missing, doorknobs and locks that appeared to be cheap and unsecure and that was without access to see the condition of the actual rooms. It is operated by Days Inn down the street, that is where the amenities (pool, spa, continental breakfast) are located and there is no one on site to check in or provide assistance. We arrived pre-check-in to find some people drinking and smoking in close proximity to where our room would have been located. We traveled to Days Inn and asked to see a room and the reception desk told us there weren't any available to look at, that the cleaning crew was delay and that the room would not be available until after the posted time. After additional consideration, we decided to forego our stay. I attempted to receive a refund but was told to no refunds, no exceptions. This property is totally unacceptable base on the pictures represented and one would be wise to consider other options. It's a very poor business practice to refuse a refund based on the conditions being different than what is represented. It appears to be a quaint older motel, we found it to be anything but.

Very clean room comfy bed. Pool was crunchy big globs of hair to dodge. Hot tub perfect. They really trying hard to fix the place up. The breakfast good, they had doots open all the time so mass flies in the way. Guess they hungry too. I booked Westerly Motel but the sign said check in at Days Inn. Across street at Days no hello or welcome. Joshua at desk busy talking to maintenance so i felt i was interruption In fact i don't think he has customer experience I had to interrupt him a few times while there never say hi and acknowledged me.the hospitality staff very courteous. Dont think i will be back.

No staff on site pictures of property did not match up had to go to a different hotel to check in and use the pool it said it had which was freezing also have to go to a different hotel for the free breakfast it offers no bedding on the bed in the room pull out couch bed was a piece of foam not a mattress no workimg fridge and shower squirted water and soaked the bathroom extremely small just over all bad experience do not recommend

The corner room allowed view of street from 2 different areas, there is a small fridge, one microwave and a coffee maker. The surprise was a massage chair. The bedroom was small with no place for clothes. Bathroom was very clean but there was no toilet paper holder! The TV was way too big for the room. We will stay there again. Breakfast is across the street in the Days Inn.

First thing was we had to check-in at an entirely different hotel which was not expected at all. Second, within minutes of looking at the room the shower curtain slammed onto the floor before we even entered the bathroom and when I picked it up it was soaking wet. The coffee maker not only already had old water in it but was cracked all over the place. The paper cups were stuck together as if they were stacked wet. The couch cushions were very stained, the blanket on the bed was MAJORLY stained and actually moist with holes. The towels in the bathroom were already wet as well. The windows in the bedroom and bathroom were open upon arrival, and the bedroom had a hole in the wall from the door knob. There was no air conditioning or ability to adjust the thermostat to a cooler temperature so it was very hot and very muggy. The bathroom door wouldn't lock even with the push button lock. Our key didn't seem to lock the front door from the outside and had to be locked from the inside when we would leave. Amenities like the pool, hot tub and breakfast mentioned in the booking site were at the separate hotel we had to check-in. The pool actually had a section of the ceiling that seemed heavily damaged and almost falling in. I absolutely would not recommend this facility to anyone especially for a charge of $175 for one night. And definitely hope for some sort of refund.

Room was not level fridge & living room side table were slanted. No linens for extra bed & only 2 towels in the room. Rooms definitely have moisture problems. Guy working the front desk wasn't friendly at all but the girl working the evening shift was very nice & helpful & got us bedding & their last 2 towels. Breakfast was disappointing, same guy was just sitting at the desk instead of replenishing breakfast items...waffle mix, eggs & juices were all empty! Bees were everywhere ...wasn't terrible but definitely room for improvement

Good spot for last minute booking. Definitely paying for what you get a little funky. Room number 7 wasnt bad, we did have room number 9 first but wasn't enough room (felt very stuffy in room number 9) sheets were sandy in bed, but shower was nice and room seemed decently cleaned.I would recommended having all white sheets for a more cleanliness feel. I would stay there again if being in a bind. Good location to all restaurants. They offered a simple continental breakfast across the street along with pool and hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

When booking our family stay, the photos look way better then in person. We switched rooms 2 times, thought I was getting a queen with a pull out sofa, 1 st room had a chase and small recliner and small bed. Moved to second room and it was not clean, dirt and hair all over the bathroom. Pull out couch was dirty, did not want my kids to sleep on it, there was a dirty broken recliner in the room also. 3rd room, we switched to we had one with a kitchenette. Twin pull out bed and small very uncomfortable bed low to ground, bed room doors can not close, and no walk space. My son slept on a twin, i had to use the couch cushions for my daughter to sleep on and baby in the kitchen in her play pen. Overall not worth the money. We got to walk and eat breakfast and swim in the pool, but there was flies everywhere and the pool water was not the cleanest....this stay cost over $300 and is not worth the price. The staff were helpful but overall not a clean or big enough space, pictures make it look nicer then what it is.

The room was small but updated and clean. Need was comfortable. Only one bar of soap for both sink and shower. Dining room at Days Inn was a big negative! Not clean, dead bugs, a coffee pot from one of the rooms just sitting happy on a table of "stuff",half empty containers and empty boxes just sitting around. A guy came to fill it replace the juice and dropped it across the floor then left the mess. Regular the napkins but some feel in the floor and he just walked of and left them. It did not feel clean.

You can't check in at that property you actually have to know that you have to go to a different hotel to check in for this property and there's nothing that says that there's also no hot tub or full there it's at a different property so no it's not worth saying

This place is so unorganized. Arrived at 3pm (check in) something was going on with the key machine, did not get checked in until 4. Getting into our rooms, my kids immediately took their shoes off and started running around playing. And I noticed that the socks were filthy. The next day while we were having our "continental breakfast " which consisted of the availability for waffles, toast a muffin, English muffin, cereal, yogurt a fruit cup orange juice, coffee, and milk. They did add bagels on the second morning. So let's get back to the incident.. I went to the front desk asking them about room service and the housekeeper LUZ interrupted my conversation with the front desk guy Andrew, and interjected that we only get room service if we ask for it, and they don't want anybody in the rooms when they're picking up. Otherwise they don't do room service. So I politely asked if I could borrow a broom and mop so I can clean up myself. Because after being answered the way she had I was really reluctant about having somebody with that type of energy in our personal space. They let us know that they could not do that because of safety purposes. I totally understand they don't want somebody accidentally hurting themselves. So we went back to one of the main issues was that one of the rooms TVs was not working at all. So LUZ interjected again that there should be two remotes there one for the TV and one for the cable, we let her know that we only found one. She rudely interrupted .

1 star. The app clearly stated that staff would be available 24/7, but when we arrived there was nobody there to help us check in. We were left stranded with no assistance despite paying for a room. The lack of communication and customer service was unacceptable. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually provides the service they advertise.
