The property was very clean and was well appointed. The heating in both the main room and with an electric blanket was appreciated in cold rainy weather The parking is limited but there are marked spaces for each motel unit though this depends on the courtesy of other users who do not use more than one parking space.

Gute Lage, nicht weit zu Restaurants. Apartment ist gut ausgestattet, aber schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Anlage hat Whirlpool, der zu unserer späten Ankunftszeit (nach 19 Uhr) „ausgebucht“ war - habe niemanden drin gesehen. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Empfang war freundlich, das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich. Die mit Abstand teuerste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise durch Neuseeland, selbst das Doubletree by Hilton in Queenstown war günstiger!

Lovely location by the Water front, beautiful gardens, supermarket 5 minures walk where we could buy stuff to cook on the communal BBQ. One of our favourite stops whilst travelling the North Island of New Zealand.

We stayed with our UK whanau for 2 nights and as we'd experienced before it was an enjoyable experience. Lovely clean rooms, warm welcome and relaxing spa, what more could you want! Oh, and the beautiful Hokianga Harbour and mighty sand dunes are just across the road, a gruelling 1 minute walk to view - awesome😊 Nearby shops, Hotels, fish n chips very handy and easy walking too. Well be back for sure.

Beautiful views. The property was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Information booklet was very helpful to find places of interest and other info needed. Problems included for our unit: access wasn't easy for older people, bathroom was tiny for 3-4 people, the toilet window didn't shut, the toilet made a terrible noise when refilling.

Booked through Expedia and it was very expensive for what it was. The room was very old, wall paper coming off in places, old furniture, bed rolled to the middle, noisy from adjacent unit, bathroom and kitchen very dated. Worth about $90/night not $208au that Expedia charged.

When undertaking a "roadie" like we are, one experiences many different standards, styles & prices of motel, but strewth at $NZ220 a night for this place it's ridiculously overpriced ! Yes, it's clean, yes the room's got space, yes we slept OK....but heck it's very old style & needs a total revamp. The bathroom area in room 10 was incredibly small - even had separate hot & cold taps - that's old style! . Plus no view from the room of the lovely Hokianga River 50m away! . On the plus side the location's great & the lady at check in was lovely & welcoming!

Quaint little hotel room with beach across street. Had a small deck with tropical plants surrounding us. Lady who checked us in was fantastic - we were running a tad late (6:30) but she was waiting for us and told us to head immediately to fish and chip stand as it was almost closing time. Made it with only minutes to spare.

We loved our stay at Opononi Lighthouse, in fact we decided to stay several more nights. Very friendly and helpful owner, a great unit and beautiful gardens. Right opposite the beach and very handy to the local 4 Square and other shops. We would certainly go back there again. :)

Sehr schönes Motel mit liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Ruhige Lage, direkt am Strand (durch eine Strasse getrennt) gelegen. In Gehdistanz findet man zwei Restaurants und einen kleinen Markt mit Post. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder im Opononi Lighthouse Motel übernachten.
