Amazing location, on the top of the hill. Perfect view. Very adventurous to drive there... Friendly staff, helped with luggage. No elevator...no air-condition... Great dinner & breakfast. Location is the best in the area.

This property was gorgeous. The views are amazing. The staff was very nice. They have a restaurant overlooking Lake Como that is spectacular. Dinner, wine and breakfast were lovely. They stayed in contact with me via messages and answered all questions. I will absolutely return to this hotel my next trip to Brunate.

Hotel is beautiful inside and out with gorgeous views and good food. I didn't realize it's at the top of the funicular, so trips to and from Como are easiest using the funicular.

El hotel se encuentra ubicado en Brunate, aproximadamente 15-20 min en coche desde Como por carretera angosta. La señalización para llegar es adecuada y el servicio en la recepción excelente. Cosas buenas: buen restaurante en el primer piso del hotel, excelentes vistas, sitio tranquilo, parqueadero disponible. Lo malo: no ascensor, habitaciones de buen tamaño, sin embargo, no aire acondicionado central (nos dejaron un aire acondicionado portatil cerca a una ventana bastante ruidoso), dotación basica de las habitaciones. Desayuno basico.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel which is in a lovely location overlooking the lake. The room itself was quite basic but clean, and while the bed was comfortable, the footboard made it feel a little small. The shower pressure could have been better. The highlight was definitely the view, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. One of the main reasons we booked, however, was because Hotels.com listed the property as having an electric car charger. On arrival, we discovered that it only offered standard outdoor plug sockets, not actual EV chargers. Since we were using a hire car, we only had a regular charging cable and not the slower charging option required. We believe this was an error on Hotels.com’s part rather than the hotel itself, but we also met another guest who had booked under the same impression. The hotel’s location is also worth noting—it sits high up on the mountainside, with access via narrow, winding roads. This can make driving there quite tricky! Alternatively, the property is reachable by cable car, so it may be easier to park by the lake and bring luggage up that way (only approx a 5-10 min journey). If we were to visit again, that’s likely the approach we’d take.

An incredible experience and property. Wonderful views beautifully restored building and rooms. Great restaurant and bar. Really a wonderful location and staff. The drive up is not for the faint of heart but we’ll worth it. 20 meters to the incline down to Como. My only complaint if you could call it that, is that it did not have A/C. But completely understandable given the age of the building. Was not expecting it but it did get very warm in August. Overall a great experience. Would absolutely recommend.

The road up to the hotel is mostly one car wide and has to deal with two way traffic :-) We had reserved a parking space. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning, so in summer be prepared to sleep with the windows open and expect a few mosquito bites, there is also street noise, but that said, the room was large and comfortable. The staff are just wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Would be happy to return.

TB acceuil et en plus avec une pointe d humour tres agreable, m a tres bien renseigne et a ete a l ecoute de nos demandes...proprete impeccable, le petit dejeuner est vraiment tres bien et copieux, sale et sucre. Vue a couper le souffle, seul bemol le resto etait ferme le soir. Je recommande. Bon sejour.

Das Hotel ist ein älteres Hotel mit gewissem Charme. Die Aussicht ist wundervoll, da man ganz oben auf dem Berg ist. Allerdings ist der Preis für eine Übernachtung mit vier Personen (€253) viel zu hoch, wenn man dann Schimmel in der Duschkabine hat. Die Bettcouch der Kinder war völlig in Ordnung, wir fanden unser Bett zu hart, aber das ist ja alles Geschmackssache. Das Frühstück ist übersichtlich, ein Buffet wäre unserer Meinung nach besser, denn durch das Eindecken wird viel Essen weg geworfen. Die Servicekräfte des Hotels sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Restaurant war gut, der Service teilweise etwas schleppend, Bestellungen wurden vergessen etc.

Such a wonderful stay. Staff were really friendly, room was gorgeous, view was stunning. Felt clean but vintage and stylish. Food at the restaurant and at breakfast were lovely. If you're driving it might be easier to park in Como and get the furnacular up as it's literally right next to it and saves navigating up the hill. If I could give more than 5* I would!

Exceeded all expectations, friendly warm welcome, helpful in every way. Magical room with breathtaking views of Lake Como, authentic room and surrounding. Room was traditional yet had all the modern necessities needed. Young children were equally in awe of the hotel. 2 minute walk from amazing funicular that takes you down to Como. Delicious breakfast served by helpful and friendly staff enjoyed with views of Lake Como.

Our stay at the Bellavista Boutique Hotel in Brunate was memorable. The hotel offers absolutely breathtaking views that really set it apart from any hotel down in Como. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome. The hotel has an old world charm and is a really unique place to stay. The drive up to Brunate is a bit challenging but arriving at the top is worth it!

The hotel is set in a small village on the top of a hill overlooking Lake Como. The view is gorgeous, the restaurant was awesome and the staff are so lovely. I didn’t find the room particularly comfortable but we stayed in the least expensive room so perhaps the more expensive ones are a bit cozier. Our room was very basic and a bit run down but it’s an old building and has a lot of charm. Overall, it’s lovely but if you want luxury, I would recommend upgrading your room to a suite. Thanks to the hotel staff for the warm welcome!

Poor breakfast: small selection of items and all out when arrived. Extra small room, very dark and door to hallway doesn’t insulate noise at all. No fridge, no aircon, no cell charging.

Vi havde fornøjelsen af at tilbringe nogle dage på et hotel i Brunate ved Como søen, og jeg må sige, at det var en mindeværdig oplevelse. Beliggenheden er simpelthen betagende med en smuk udsigt over hele como søen, som virkelig sætter prikken over i’et. Hotellet er ældre og har en særlig charme, som man ikke finder mange steder længere. Det har en flot, historisk atmosfære, men man skal være opmærksom på, at der ikke er aircondition, hvilket kunne være en udfordring på varme dage. Værelset, vi boede i, var ret småt, men de smukke omgivelser kompenserer bestemt for dette. Maden på hotellet var en sand fornøjelse. Selvom priserne måske er lidt høje, er det tydeligt, at der er lagt vægt på kvalitet og gode råvarer. Morgenmaden var også dejlig og fyldig, hvilket gav en god start på dagen. En stor fordel er, at man nemt kan komme ned til Como søen via en lift (telekabin) 6,50 € retur , hvilket gør det let at nyde alt, hvad området har at byde på. Alt i alt et dejligt hotel, der virkelig gør opholdet ved Como søen til en fornøjelse. Jeg vil især fremhæve Raffaella, damen i receptionen, som var utrolig sød, dejlig, imødekommende og meget hjælpsom. Hendes varme velkomst og venlighed gjorde virkelig en forskel for vores ophold.
Vi havde fornøjelsen af at tilbringe nogle dage på et hotel i Brunate ved Como søen, og jeg må sige, at det var en mindeværdig oplevelse. Beliggenheden er simpelthen betagende med en smuk udsigt over hele como søen, som virkelig sætter prikken over i’et. The road up to the hotel is mostly one car wide and has to deal with two way traffic :-) We had reserved a parking space. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning, so in summer be prepared to sleep with the windows open and expect a few mosquito bites, there is also street noise, but that said, the room was large and comfortable. The staff are just wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Would be happy to return.

Das Hotel ist ein älteres Hotel mit gewissem Charme. Die Aussicht ist wundervoll, da man ganz oben auf dem Berg ist. Allerdings ist der Preis für eine Übernachtung mit vier Personen (€253) viel zu hoch, wenn man dann Schimmel in der Duschkabine hat. Die Bettcouch der Kinder war völlig in Ordnung, wir fanden unser Bett zu hart, aber das ist ja alles Geschmackssache. We had a pleasant stay at this hotel which is in a lovely location overlooking the lake. The room itself was quite basic but clean, and while the bed was comfortable, the footboard made it feel a little small. The shower pressure could have been better. The highlight was definitely the view, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. One of the main reasons we booked, however, was because Hotels.com listed the property as having an electric car charger. On arrival, we discovered that it only offered standard outdoor plug sockets, not actual EV chargers. Since we were using a hire car, we only had a regular charging cable and not the slower charging option required. We believe this was an error on Hotels.com’s part rather than the hotel itself, but we also met another guest who had booked under the same impression. The hotel’s location is also worth noting—it sits high up on the mountainside, with access via narrow, winding roads. This can make driving there quite tricky! Alternatively, the property is reachable by cable car, so it may be easier to park by the lake and bring luggage up that way (only approx a 5-10 min journey). If we were to visit again, that’s likely the approach we’d take.

Muy auténtico y diferente ,muy difícil para acceder en coche ,solo recomiendo llegar en coche si realmente sabes manejar en curvas y lomas ,en ocasiones la carretera tiene espacio a un carro y el que viene de frente se hace difícil el paso.Si llegas a Como en otra vía de transporte puedes llegar al hotel en el funicular que queda justo al lado .

The hotel is set in a small village on the top of a hill overlooking Lake Como. The view is gorgeous, the restaurant was awesome and the staff are so lovely. I didn’t find the room particularly comfortable but we stayed in the least expensive room so perhaps the more expensive ones are a bit cozier. Our room was very basic and a bit run down but it’s an old building and has a lot of charm. Overall, it’s lovely but if you want luxury, I would recommend upgrading your room to a suite. Thanks to the hotel staff for the warm welcome!

El hotel se encuentra ubicado en Brunate, aproximadamente 15-20 min en coche desde Como por carretera angosta. La señalización para llegar es adecuada y el servicio en la recepción excelente. A charming property. This is an old hotel with bathrooms which appear to have been added to the rooms. Our room overlooked the lake, it was so foggy, that most of the time, we couldn’t see Como or the lake. Dinner was very good (make a reservation). Breakfast was more than sufficient - we had 15 minutes to eat breakfast as we had to leave to drive to Zurich to catch a train. Traffic in Como was insane. Also, several streets up to the hotel are only one car width wide (but two-way streets) so you must be very comfortable with driving on narrow streets and backing up on narrow streets to let other cars go by. I was very glad our rental car was small. We had a reserved parking spot (a must if you are driving) and it worked out well. Staff were all great.

Also, several streets up to the hotel are only one car width wide (but two-way streets) so you must be very comfortable with driving on narrow streets and backing up on narrow streets to let other cars go by. I was very glad our rental car was small. We had a reserved parking spot (a must if you are driving) and it worked out well. Staff were all great.
