We loved our stay at the Edo Sakura. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The property was clean and located very close to the Iriya station for transportation. We loved the large bath you can reserve! Delicious breakfast too. And close to a convenience store. We were a traveling family of 3. The standard room was a bit small for a week trip so if you need more room, I would recommend the upgrade. Loved this hotel so much!

Decent place to stay if you’re looking for the ryokan experience in Tokyo. Room was a bit lacking for the price, though because there was not a bidet in the toilet. They offer unique experiences like tea ceremony. I would recommend it for the novelty experience but if you’re looking for a longer term stay like a week I would suggest elsewhere as it was not very close to train stations.

Neighborhood feel traditional style room with floor mat. Definitely encourage tea ceremony and the bath option. Would have given five stars except our room did not have wi fi for 2 of the 3 nights. Staff helpful

We really enjoyed our stay at Edo Sakura! The staff are very friendly and attentive. They wenf out of their way to be helpful. The hotel itself is very clean and I was happy to use the laundry service they provided. It was nice not have to do my own laundry on vacation. We appreciated the small touches like the binder with nearby restaurants listed withca location map. We all enjoyed the breakfast options offered. The salmon set was especially delicious. Thank you Edo Sakura for making our last stop in Japan memorable.

The hotel is super clean and comfortable. The metro station is few minutes walk from the hotel. Room is spacious enough. Breakfast is delicious. Also the family bath relax me after walking all day long in the city centre. Staffs are super friendly and show the hospitality of Japan. I’m so happy to find this accommodation in Tokyo.

Helpful and very welcoming staffs. Room is not so well maintained. Humid in the room. Bathroom is small (Have stayed in hotels in Japan, and this is quite small). The wooden bed frame or floor (can't tell which one) makes sound on every toss and turn you make on the bed. There's a desk in the room, which is a plus when you travel with work.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the best part about this hotel is absolutely the staff! From day one, they went above and beyond In taking care of us and making sure we were having a good trip. From recommendations on where to eat on our first night stay to helping me find a clinic that was opened on the long weekend so that I could see a doctor when I came down sick, they have been hands down some of the best hotel staff we have ever encountered

The staff were extremely welcoming and super helpful. Very well located, close (10 minute walk) to the Yamanote line for connecting to other areas in the City. Sits within the attractive Ueno area and within easy walking distance of Asakusa. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Highly recommend the rice breakfast.

Very nice stay in a quiet neighborhood, close to multiple train stations. Staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. Spotless and spacious rooms. You can ask for extra mattresses if the mattresses in traditional dadami rooms are too thin for you. Had the salmon and rice set for breakfast which were delicious.

후기가 좋길래 기대가 컸나봐요. 좋았던 점은 직원들이 친절하고, 도쿄에서 다다미방을 쓸수 있다는 색다른 경험이었던 것 같아요. 하지만 저희가 묵었던 방은 햇볕도 안들고 불투명 유리에 창살까지 있어서 숙박하는 내내 좁은 지하에 갇혀지낸 기분이었네요. 숙소에 있으면 우울해졌어요. 수돗물이 깨끗하니 그걸 먹으라며 기본 생수도 제공되지 않았어요. 그나마 가까운곳에 편의점이 있어서 다행이었네요. 룸안에 거울도 없었고, 욕실 바닥은 미끄러우니 물기가 있을땐 꼭 슬리퍼를 신고 들어가세요... 다음엔 좀더 세심하게 숙소를 골라야겠네요.

Very nice stay in a quiet neighborhood, close to multiple train stations. Staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. Spotless and spacious rooms. You can ask for extra mattresses if the mattresses in traditional dadami rooms are too thin for you. Had the salmon and rice set for breakfast which were delicious.

We loved our stay at the Edo Sakura. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The property was clean and located very close to the Iriya station for transportation. We loved the large bath you can reserve! Delicious breakfast too. And close to a convenience store. We were a traveling family of 3. The standard room was a bit small for a week trip so if you need more room, I would recommend the upgrade. Loved this hotel so much!

Fantastic place. Staff was amazing and spoke good English. Very welcoming and friendly. We had many questions answered by them. They provided service beyond normal hotel standards. If the opportunity arises, we will be going back.

The amazing staff really made this stay special. They helped us book reservations, call cabs, and make special arrangements for our stay. It’s inside a quiet neighborhood with hidden cafes, a bakery, and a Ministop for snacks. It’s a 6 minute walk to the Iriya station for the Hibiya Line making it easy access to Ginza, Ueno, Akihabara, or anywhere you want to go. When you stay, definitely reserve a bath and order breakfast for a memorable experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at Edo Sakura! The staff are very friendly and attentive. They wenf out of their way to be helpful. The hotel itself is very clean and I was happy to use the laundry service they provided. It was nice not have to do my own laundry on vacation. We appreciated the small touches like the binder with nearby restaurants listed withca location map. We all enjoyed the breakfast options offered. The salmon set was especially delicious. Thank you Edo Sakura for making our last stop in Japan memorable.

Very nice stay in a quiet neighborhood, close to multiple train stations. Staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. Spotless and spacious rooms. You can ask for extra mattresses if the mattresses in traditional dadami rooms are too thin for you. Had the salmon and rice set for breakfast which were delicious.

Decent place to stay if you’re looking for the ryokan experience in Tokyo. Room was a bit lacking for the price, though because there was not a bidet in the toilet. They offer unique experiences like tea ceremony. I would recommend it for the novelty experience but if you’re looking for a longer term stay like a week I would suggest elsewhere as it was not very close to train stations.

Superbe hôtel, nous ne sommes pas déçu de notre choix. Personnel très souriant, agréable et accueillant, merci. Chambre superbe comme sur les photos. Hotel calme, propre et très bien situé. Le onsen mériterait un peu de musique d'ambiance Enfin le petit dejeuner est de qualité.

We pucked it because it is walking distance to Ueno park, the Yamanote train line and a subway line. The staff was super friendly! Most spoke some English and some quite amazing English. We eat great Japanese breakfast and resered the private bath one night, whic was lovely after a day of traveling. We were a 5 minute walk from the subway and 15 from the train. We'd highly recommend it! Only only tiny complaint is that the futons seemed a bit thin. However, that may be just because we are so accustomed to Western mattresses.

The hotel is super clean and comfortable. The metro station is few minutes walk from the hotel. Room is spacious enough. Breakfast is delicious. Also the family bath relax me after walking all day long in the city centre. Staffs are super friendly and show the hospitality of Japan. I’m so happy to find this accommodation in Tokyo.

This was the best way to spend our last night in Japan! Having a more authentic, Japanese experience was the cherry on top of our trip. We particularly enjoyed the traditional robes, the extra kind staff, the delicious breakfast, and most of all, our calligraphy lesson. I had a harder time with the futons than my 3 other travel mates. Definitely request a second futon and pillow if you need extra cushion.

Exceptional hospitality! The staff here are amazing and went out of their way to help us. Cleanliness is top-notch in the rooms and throughout the vicinity. Breakfast was also very nice. A truly great experience; we highly recommend staying here!

Grosse déception pour nous qui voyageons à trois. Le ryôkan est joli mais les chambres sont minuscules il était impossible d’ouvrir nos trois valises et nos lits futons en même temps. La fenêtre ne s’ouvre pas donc nous avons passé 4 jours dans la pénombre. Le service est vraiment minimal, changement des serviettes et basta. Les futons ne sont pas faits pour les clients. Compte tenu de l’absence total de prestations du ryokan, faire le lit aurait été la moindre des choses. Pas de bouteille d’eau dans les chambres. Enfin, surprise désagréable : le onsen est payant et doit être réservé à l’avance. Il est certain que je ne reviendrai pas dans cet établissement. Par ailleurs, une odeur très désagréable et persistante flottante dans l’établissement ce qui rend le séjour désagréable à cause des cuisines. Enfin je finirai pas conclure en disant que pour une nuit de sommeil cela est suffisant mais il ne faut pas chercher davantage.

When I booked my room, I made it clear that we were four people. However, my son is five years old, and he was not given his own futon. So, I had to raise this concern with the staff. Initially, I was told that I would need to pay extra for another futon. I declined to do this and made it clear that I thought this was deceptive on the part of the hotel management. Later, I was offered a smaller futon for a toddler at no extra charge. It would have been fine if the staff had offered this solution right away. Unfortunately, I had to go an unpleasant exchange with the staff. I should add that the staff was only following the management's policy. So, I do not blame the situation so much on them as much as the management. I did not see anyone from the hotel's management during my stay. So, I was only able to express my discontent with the staff.
