The Copper Kettle

Hmm. Dated. Damp. Mouldy. Slightly rude in parts. But breakfast was great - set me up for the day.

The whole place stank of old cooking oil. Sticky dirty bannisters. The bed linen and crockery were clean. I had booked for a few nights but left after one as could not sleep because of the disgusting smell.

Unfortunately we didn't feel this property is remotely up to current safety standards or clean enough for people to be allowed to stay. There is also not sufficient dedicated parking for guests (2 spaces total) & we had to sort this out ourselves. The couple who run the place were pleasant and apologised for the parking etc. but this sadly didn't make up for the major concerns we had over the property.

Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Room is very tired and need of updating. Breakfast (included) and main meal (optional extra) were excellent value and very tasty. Parking was made available
