We loved our stay at The Waters County House! It was a lovely little place in the countryside with gorgeous views, lovely staff, and a delicious breakfast! I especially loved the beautiful fountain in the back of the property that let me settle down and sketch for the night! Thank you so much for the stay!!

What a lovely stay at the Water's Country House. Our three children said this was by far their favorite place in Ireland! We all loved the country quiet, starry skies, and the occasional neighbor "moo!" We sat by the fire in the house drawing room and played cards at night. We will be back!

If you are looking for old-world charm, this is the place! You cannot beat the charm, or the lovely couple who own the property. There is even a fresh spring fountain that the property was built around. The most delicious and pure spring water ever! The property is beyond gorgeous, as are the views! We would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing place to stay. We had three rooms for our group of 5. A room with two twins, a room with a king and one of the suites. The suite is AMAZING. The furnishings, decorations, linens and everything were perfect. The owners are just absolutely amazing. There are free coffee, tea stations. Three sitting rooms with chess, fireplaces and TVs. Water pressure was great and super hot water. Also the natural spring that you fill your water container for your room was so unique. Breakfast was the best we've had so far. I could just go on and on. If your anywhere near the cliffs and need somewhere to stay, this is the place.

This property is off the beaten path, but it is an experience to stay there. The property is large and has a unique feel that makes you feel like you are staying somewhere special. There are a couple of cozy lounge areas, and an honour system bar for guests to enjoy. The room was comfortable and had its own bathroom with small shower. Breakfast was very nice, with hot options made to order, and a continental buffet as well. The area is quite scenic. The proprietor’s were very friendly, welcoming and friendly. If you are planning to travel from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher, it is a great place to stay to get an earlier arrival at the Cliffs in the morning and beat the crowds.

This place was one of a kind. The house was old, well kept, comfortable and just stunning. The owners were absolutely wonderful, kind and easy to talk to. The grounds were well kept and peaceful. It is the perfect place to relax and write or read a book. The natural springs were a nice surprise and the water was cold, clear and fresh tasting. We will be going back and highly recommend this place.

This is a lovely place tucked out in the country. The owner, Wolfgang, greeted us on arrival and gave a good tour of the place and to our room. It is an old house so the wood is dark giving it and older look but everything is clean and well kept. Our room was small but adequate. The bed is firm and linens are soft. If you use a blow dryer you will need to bring your own as well as a plug converter. There is a plug strip on one side of the bed that accepts American plugs. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of options. The grounds around are beautiful as this is also a retreat center. Overall it was a very nice stay and good value.

Wolfgang was very welcoming - we enjoyed chatting with him. Location is great - near the small castle and town of Ballyvaughn.

This was without a doubt one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at. Everything was very straight-forward with check-in and check-out. The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous, and the property was stunning. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. We wish that we could have stayed here longer than we did!

The Waters is a must-stay. It is in a gorgeous location, the inn is appointed beautifully, and Wolfgang and Maria treat you like family. This is in a remote part of County Clare and is a perfect location to see the Burren.

It is a little off of the beaten path, but that was exactly what we were looking for. Wilhelm, one of the owners, personally greeted us and gave us a tour of the grounds and showed us to our rooms. He also welcomed us to breakfast, took our orders and delivered our food. He is very proud of his establishment! It is close to several tourist attractions (Poulnabrone Dolmen, Ailwee Caves and Newtown Castle).

One word: MAGICAL! This was our first trip to Ireland and this was our FAVORITE stay!! Our hosts Maria and Wolfgang are natural hosts and couldn't have made our stay any better or make us feel more welcome! The Full Irish Breakfast was the best we had in Ireland, it was so nice to visit with the hosts and hear a bit about the location and wonderful suggestion for dinner. Our room overlooked the green beauty that is Ireland and honestly, the stay here really helped make our first trip so memorable. Thank you Maria and Wolfgang!!

Quirky accomodation off the beaten track. Feels very dated and not easy to reach due to narrow approach roads and limited dining options, but that is part of its charm. The hosts are extremely accommodating. Perfect for getting away from the stresses of modern life.

This hotel is absolutely nothing at all like it is advertised. It is truly in the middle of nowhere, there is no wifi or cell service on most areas of the property, and the hotel staff (apart from the nice man at breakfast) is unhelpful and quite cold. Would not recommend staying here unless you have little to no plans to travel around the area, as it is not located centrally to anything, and is quite uncomfortable at night.

The Waters is a must-stay. It is in a gorgeous location, the inn is appointed beautifully, and Wolfgang and Maria treat you like family. This is in a remote part of County Clare and is a perfect location to see the Burren.

This was a nice, relaxing and quiet stay for us on our road trip around the coastline of Ireland. The location in the countryside was nice and peaceful, but also close to town. We enjoyed the cozy fire room for a family game night while there. We’d highly recommend this place!

It is a little off of the beaten path, but that was exactly what we were looking for. Wilhelm, one of the owners, personally greeted us and gave us a tour of the grounds and showed us to our rooms. He also welcomed us to breakfast, took our orders and delivered our food. He is very proud of his establishment! It is close to several tourist attractions (Poulnabrone Dolmen, Ailwee Caves and Newtown Castle).

There are a couple of cozy lounge areas, and an honour system bar for guests to enjoy. The room was comfortable and had its own bathroom with small shower. Breakfast was very nice, with hot options made to order, and a continental buffet as well. The area is quite scenic. The proprietor’s were very friendly, welcoming and friendly. If you are planning to travel from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher, it is a great place to stay to get an earlier arrival at the Cliffs in the morning and beat the crowds.

One word: MAGICAL! This was our first trip to Ireland and this was our FAVORITE stay!! Our hosts Maria and Wolfgang are natural hosts and couldn't have made our stay any better or make us feel more welcome! The Full Irish Breakfast was the best we had in Ireland, it was so nice to visit with the hosts and hear a bit about the location and wonderful suggestion for dinner. Our room overlooked the green beauty that is Ireland and honestly, the stay here really helped make our first trip so memorable. Thank you Maria and Wolfgang!!

WOW! What an incredible location. One the coolest places I have ever stayed. The property was absolutely gorgeous, with lots to explore and experience. The main house with the common area, library and dining room were incredible. The owner takes such good care of the guests. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed at the Granny Flat which is it's own little house. It was adorable and quite cozy. The only problem we had was with the shower - it needs updated knobs because it kept popping off - and the drain was clogged so it took a minute for the water to drain. Just needs a little TLC. Other than that - I wish we had been able to stay longer. A wonderful experience.

WHAT A FIND!!! My family LOVED this place! It was such a relaxing stay from all the hustle and bustle of Dublin. The breakfast was amazing and the perfect way to start the day for visiting the sites. Hidden gem that my husband and I are already putting on our must come back to and stay list. Wolfgang was welcoming and helpful with our little grand-daughter and the family agreed this was our favorite stay of the trip. My wife and I are so glad we found The Waters Country Inn for our stay in Ireland. The staff was so friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. They gave us a tour of the inn and the grounds before showing us our room which happen to be the Sun Room. They also showed us the reason the inn got it's name which is the spring water well located in the lower level of the main building of the inn. There you can fill up your water bottle with the freshest water we've ever had. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. At night, we enjoyed a drink from the bar and spent some time in one of the sitting rooms. In the morning, the breakfast was incredible! We will definitely be back and can't wait to stay at The Waters Country Inn again!
