Parking was a challenge. They only have a few parking spaces on site, so you have to find a somewhere to park in a very crowded area. The rooms are outdated, but had the basics. Beautiful ocean front view. All staff were very nice.

Rented an apartment but for the nightly rate it was unclean and neglected looking. No ice available for any patrons. Outside of the convient location everything else done went downhill since they know its getting renovated this offseason

This hotel is a good price for the location to the boardwalk. Now when I first checked into my room it smelled terrible. Very damp and moldy and made me sick to my stomach. I wish I had immediately gone to the front desk to complain but I didn’t since it was a very busy time of year and they did say that they were pretty booked. I had to go out and buy multiple air fresheners to help mask the smell while I was there. Very disappointed with that and the overall cleanliness. The heated pool was an unexpected surprise though!!

Room had peeling paint, only shower use, could not use tub. Microwave and frig were rusty. TV worthless as there was poor internet signal. Parking is terrible. Pool is outside, heated. That was nice and situated right on boardwalk.

room was very dank and musty smelling ..tv had several lines running down the middle ..bathroom sink would not stop running ..maintenance came in and shut the hot water off to the sink and never came to put it back on ..there was no ice machine ..you had to ask at the desk and you got a small tiny bag that they had in a cooler behind the desk and was told if we wanted more we could go buy some .we knew that it would not be a 3 star hotel but a 1.5 is being generous

This place is absolutely disgusting!! There were small black ant crawling in the kitchen, bathroom and throughout the apt we were in. The drain in the kitchen sink drained the dirty dish water in the pans under the sink. The floors were sticky and the carpet was damp and smelled. The first night we stayed we were horrified to find bed bugs crawling on our bed! Which our 4 year old daughter was sleeping in. We captured one of the bedbugs in a papertowel and took it to the office at 5:30 am! The lady at the desk put it in a piece of tape [which later disappeared] what a surprise. The maintenance man and the head of housekeeping came to our room to check the bedroom. There were blood spots on the sheets which they bagged up. Had a flashlight to look for these gross bugs! We were horrified when they went to close the door which we opened to see what they were doing. Housekeeping was ironing the mattress n boxsprings and told us they didnt find anything! The bugs were crawling on the headboard and had their echo skeletons everywhere on the headboard and mattress/boxsprings. Every staff memeber from clerk at the desk to supervisor called us liars. And adult and child slept in that bed and had bite marks around their neck and back!! We have the pictures and bugs in a sealed baggie to prove our case!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I will never stay anywhere near this horrible place again. Thank heavens it didnt ruin our vacation, we did find a clean hotel streets down the road!

Here are the things that I enjoyed about this hotel: 1. The person checking me in did not read my room number out loud. As a solo female traveler, I super appreciated that. 2. They placed me on the first floor and close to the desk. Again, really helpful. 3. The front desk staff was always cheerful and super pleasant to work with. 4. The front porch has some very nice rocking chairs. Unfortunately, that's where the positive ends. My room was tiny and dingy. The sheets were clean, but to say that the facility is dated is an understatement. The locks on the doors are pathetic and there aren't even bolts. Fortunately, I had my own device to secure the door or I probably would have left immediately. The carpet was stained and filthy. There was a small sticky spot of questionable origin and so I just resorted to wearing shoes in the room at all times. There were stains on the walls. The lamp didn't work. The furniture was heavy and dated, and the one chair in the room was absolutely filthy. The pool was tiny and dirty. The parking lot was so cramped that it was nearly impossible to get in and out when it was full. The side door is cracked and the ground floor elevator area was absolutely filthy. Upon arrival, there was a lemonade/margarita spilled and the elevator doors wouldn't close because there was a lemon wedge in the way. My room wasn't cleaned during my two day stay. They emptied my trash cans, but that was all. I won't be back.

However the floor was slanted, the carpet was stained, the sheets were stained, the blinds were broken, there were a couple little bugs during the one night stay. The staff was fantastic and super friendly, but there was no plastic on the paper cups that were dusty and stained. The locks are old fashioned and the power flickered at night about every 20 minutes or less.

The beds were not the correct size, the microwave and refrigerator were disgusting and hadn't been cleaned, the pullout couch bed was unusable, there was mold all over the ceiling in the main area and bathroom, and in the bathroom, the tub clearly hadn't been cleaned and had a hair clog, most of the outlets didn't work, cockroaches in the room, this place is a dump and I'm disgusted with the amount I paid for these conditions.

My stay at The Majestic Hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was filthy — the linens were dirty, the bedsheets had stains, and there was duct tape covering holes in the walls. The towels were placed on the back of the toilet, which was completely unsanitary. Overall, the conditions were unacceptable and made for a very unpleasant experience, actually I checked out not long after I checked in. Did not stay the night.. I would not recommend this hotel.

Was promised oceanview. How can you see the ocean out of dirty windows. Just windows. The room was tiny. Could barely walk around the bed to the bathroom. At night the store beliw the hotel would have their spotlight on all night it would shine in my window. No curtains, just white mini blinds that were to small for the window. The plumbing was terrible. Everytime you took a shower you'd have water past your ankles.

The property is in a good location. That's the most positive thing. There was a strong cleaning smell and the carpets were damp when we checked in. There were numerous holes in dry wall and cracks. The kitchen had ants so we had to put all of our food in the refrigerator. The bathroom sink was missing a screen and sprayed all over. The bathtub was uneven. I would not recommend this place.

it is what it is. read the reviews after booking , and was horrified lol. yes it's a old beach hotel. no it isn't the greatest, but you get what you pay for in life ! The Majestic is by far the lowest priced property directly on the boardwalk. To even get a slightly better stay you'll pay double if not triple the rate of The Majestic. Rooms were small, but bed was decent. didn't see any bugs at all. even though was right on the boardwalk our room was quiet at night. tvs suck , and all you get is internet pluto tv that cuts out and buffers every 30 sec, but we weren't there to watch tv ! Perfect Location ! If you dont expect caviar for hot dog prices , The Majestic is a wonderful stay !

We stayed in one of the majestic apartments. I liked how it was an apartment, but it wasn't like dealing with a rental company. It was dealing with a hotel company. It was very simple and easy to get set up. We were lucky enough to get one of the apartments that was detached a block away. So it was a lot more quiet. The property is definitely dated, if you're looking for some modern place this is not it. With that being said though it was very clean. Which I'm not going there to stay in a hotel I'm going there to spend time on the beach and boardwalk.

The property is definitely dated, if you're looking for some modern place this is not it. With that being said though it was very clean. Which I'm not going there to stay in a hotel I'm going there to spend time on the beach and boardwalk.

POSITIVE: Staff was awesome - the ladies I spoke with were always smiling and really nice - Right on the boardwalk so great location. NEGATIVE: TV barely picked up channels when we tried to turn on - We felt bedsprings - Ceiling looks old and ready to fall.

This hotel was charming, and very antique. However the floor was slanted, the carpet was stained, the sheets were stained, the blinds were broken, there were a couple little bugs during the one night stay. The staff was fantastic and super friendly, but there was no plastic on the paper cups that were dusty and stained. The locks are old fashioned and the power flickered at night about every 20 minutes or less.

We got what we paid for. Not complaining at all. It's bare bones. If you get a room you get a bed , fridge, tv, microwave. Our view was right on the boardwalk and could see and hear the ocean which was equally one of our favorite parts. Slept so good. The downside is just because it can get a little noisy at certain periods because you are right on the boardwalk, but it was nothing overwhelmingly loud. Just be aware that you can hear the sounds of the boardwalk. Would definitely book here again for the price especially over a holiday weekend.

Room had peeling paint, only shower use, could not use tub. Microwave and frig were rusty. TV worthless as there was poor internet signal. Parking is terrible. Pool is outside, heated. That was nice and situated right on boardwalk.

Room was advertised as ocean view with a balcony. There isn't a balcony anywhere on this hotel, the room was not ocean facing, and the rooms are small, outdated, and dirty. For the price, there are way better options nearby

The hotel was older which is fine but it was in poor shape and I know the price was based on location (right on the boardwalk!) super walkable from the boardwalk and the beach and parking was close as well But the hotel was super dated and the hallways and elevator were super small you could see light all around the door and hear every person that walked past the room or above you The ac got cold but it was so humid in the hotel and room that everything (blankets carpet towels) felt damp You could sorta see the ocean from the small dated bathroom with cracked caulk and toilet paper on opposite wall of the bathroom talk about a reach my small daughter nearly fell off The WiFi and television wouldn’t work despite them trying to give us another login and some temporary hotspot to try and work it they didn’t seem very keen to help either as staff just played on phone and seemed very uninterested We were informed after this season they would be tearing both buildings down and rebuilding that’s way overdue in my opinion

I was thrown off that our place wasn’t on the boardwalk at first. It ended up being across the street. I was kinda disappointed but no biggie. It was a roomy place with full laundry and kitchen! I also got an extra $400 charge on my card upon check-in, after paying the balance, that no one could explain. My bank took it immediately so I’m out $400 of vacation money. It was refunded to me after check-out. Very inconvenient and not told to me that would be happening. I felt like bad luck things kept happening to me… but I love ocean city and enjoyed my stay.

Here are the things that I enjoyed about this hotel: 1. The person checking me in did not read my room number out loud. As a solo female traveler, I super appreciated that. 2. They placed me on the first floor and close to the desk. Again, really helpful. 3. The front desk staff was always cheerful and super pleasant to work with. 4. The front porch has some very nice rocking chairs. Unfortunately, that's where the positive ends. My room was tiny and dingy. The sheets were clean, but to say that the facility is dated is an understatement. The locks on the doors are pathetic and there aren't even bolts. Fortunately, I had my own device to secure the door or I probably would have left immediately. The carpet was stained and filthy. There was a small sticky spot of questionable origin and so I just resorted to wearing shoes in the room at all times. There were stains on the walls. The lamp didn't work. The furniture was heavy and dated, and the one chair in the room was absolutely filthy. The pool was tiny and dirty. The parking lot was so cramped that it was nearly impossible to get in and out when it was full. The side door is cracked and the ground floor elevator area was absolutely filthy. Upon arrival, there was a lemonade/margarita spilled and the elevator doors wouldn't close because there was a lemon wedge in the way. My room wasn't cleaned during my two day stay. They emptied my trash cans, but that was all. I won't be back.

I checked in the front desk girl charged my bank account twice for the stay and still said payment didn’t go through when my bank approved both, next day manager refunded one of the charges and charged me again so at check out they still owe me $500 I am very concerned I wound get that back. Also the front desk 2nd shift girl could not even get me a pillow told me to come ask the next shift when they get there because she didn’t know.

First of all- the staff! The staff here are unbelievable. Super sweet and very helpful! Parking is onsite and safe! The property is right in the boardwalk so very accessible to literally everything. Very quiet! Even during festival weekend it was quiet and lovely. Only issue was- our door didn’t have a dead bolt, and also didn’t really close entirely. It locked, but needed some TLC. The beds were comfy and warm, the ac worked great. Overall- we would for sure stay here again for the whole week. Beach is footsteps from your room and who spends that much time indoors anyhow! Thanks for the delicious coffee bar daily!

I love staying at the Majestic. We have been staying here for awhile now when we come to OC. I dont like that others park in the parking lot that have friends or family there because there's one spot for each unit. If someone parks there that isnt staying at this location they should be considerate and use street parking. I said something to the lady working the desk and she pushed it off like oh well!! Other than that it was a good stay. Smells musty in the hallways but I was informed they are tearing down come this October to build new building

When we arrived to check in, someone else was apparently in our room. After waiting until almost midnight, the put us in a different room, expecting to resolve the issue in the morning. In the morning, the room issue was not resolved. We were asked to check out and store our things until the room assigned to us was available. We were in town for the music festival and that did not work for us. After several hours they put us in a different room. The hotel is old, dated, and not in a nostelgic way. The carpet is dirty throughout and the rooms smelled of years of salt water and sand. The beds were old and very uncomfortable. The AC was hit and miss and good luck getting hot water ... but it was 6 blocks from the festival and we had a room, so we stayed. Came to find out the hotel is under new management this year and they are hopeful to turn things around. The front desk asked us to pay the bill the next morning. We explained we have a paid in full receipt through the hotel.com app. The front desk said they would check with management and let us know if there is an issue as they presumed there was an issue with the previous management. We heard nothing further. After we checked out, management sent us a message threatening to involve the ocean city police. No questions or other communications. Not the best customer service experience nor the best hotel experience. I hope they are able to turn the place around. Its a beautiful buiding in a great location.

They had already booked my room to another family when I got there. Gave me another room. Hallways were cooler than room. Lost power only on our floor. Did not have my reservation so they “accommodated me” and gave me a bigger room for the inconveniences. Great. Get into the room to find an absolute disgusting of an establishment. We decided to just stay because we already drove all this way for vacation. After one night we decided we could not continue the rest of our vacation there. The room I originally booked did not look like this. This was not an accommodation. It had small beds, mold, shower handle fell off and could not use the cold water in it. The sink would not drain after brushing your teeth. The toilet would not flush properly. When I contacted the manager she got rude with me after I stated I did not want maintenance or the maids to come and wanted a refund. There is nothing the maintenance or maids could do to fix that place. Unsafe and disgusting environment. The pool also states it is heated and was absolutely freezing but that was the least of my concerns after the rest of the bad experience I had there. Save your money and time and find a different hotel.

Horrible check in. No greeting. Bad attitude. Never made eye contact. No smile. Lazy. The room didn’t have any bar/chain lock. Did not feel safe. Place stunk. No Internet service. Parking was a challenge. They only have a few parking spaces on site, so you have to find a somewhere to park in a very crowded area. The rooms are outdated, but had the basics. Beautiful ocean front view. All staff were very nice.

I go to OCMD for the beach and the ocean. I don't need to waste money on someplace fancy. I only need a place to shower, sleep, refrigerate food, microwave and Majestic met those needs. I parked my car and I didn't drive until I had to go home. I walked most of the time and if I need to go a longer distance, I took the bus. Walk across the boards to the beach or down the ramp the opposite direction and go to the pool. It's perfect if you aren't a picky person or you like to stay in your room all day.

This was a last minute booking as we were not satisfied with the first place we booked and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience here. From the beautiful ocean front room that was quite spacious, to the amazing customer service that I received, I couldn’t complain. With that being said, parking was a little tight, however they did have a second lot that was across the street that offered plenty of room, and the hotel is a little outdated - the carpets in the hallways have to be from the 70’s but otherwise, everything was great at the Majestic Hotel. Everything is in walking distance here as you are right on the boardwalk. Would stay there again!

Location was great, a block from boardwalk and beach. Loved the little area at bottom of stairs with a table and a grill. Was an older place put very clean. Only suggestion is to have a mirror somewhere else in apartment besides just the bathroom. With 4 girls and one mirror it sucked.

Great location. Property was clean. It could use some updating. But the location cant be beat. There was no wifi in the apts. The front desk staff were very nice but they were all new and it seemed that they lacked any real support. They were nice and as helpful as they could be.

If your looking for luxury this is not it. But neither are most hotels on the pier. The hotel is run down, the room get musty from the air quality and can smell. The air conditioner fixes that. The TV is old and the garbage cans were dirty, regretted taking the bag out myself. The beds were comfortable for the most part. It worked for use because all we were doing was sleeping there, we used their outside patio mostly and hung out a people watched. We walked the board walk in like one day so we filled our time with shopping at the outlets and the tangers which is an hour away. The cleaning staff and front were so nice, we asked for towel and they didn’t waist time, Gave use new towels and toilet paper. We didn’t have them come clean the room while we were there. Because of the humidity the towels don’t dry so you need new towels everyday practically. They pool was very nice, goes to 5 feet and was a great temp. They always had coffee in the morning through the day, it was always fresh. Staff was always there to help. Water pressure in the shower was great and it got steaming hot, if that’s your thing. Over all I would use this hotel again.

Location was great, a block from boardwalk and beach. Loved the little area at bottom of stairs with a table and a grill. Was an older place put very clean. Only suggestion is to have a mirror somewhere else in apartment besides just the bathroom. With 4 girls and one mirror it sucked.

First of all- the staff! The staff here are unbelievable. Super sweet and very helpful! Parking is onsite and safe! The property is right in the boardwalk so very accessible to literally everything. Very quiet! Even during festival weekend it was quiet and lovely. Only issue was- our door didn’t have a dead bolt, and also didn’t really close entirely. It locked, but needed some TLC. The beds were comfy and warm, the ac worked great. Overall- we would for sure stay here again for the whole week. Beach is footsteps from your room and who spends that much time indoors anyhow! Thanks for the delicious coffee bar daily!

There is one small elevator and it is difficult to move in the narrow hallways. The room was very small. Our king size bed allowed just enough room to walk around the bed. We had a small TV and two side tables. There were only blinds on the windows allowing for sunlight to fill the room from two corners of the room. A sleep mask was necessary for sleeping past sunrise becuase it was so bright. Our room did have a small refrigerator, but our kids' room did not, so it was necessary for us to have a cooler. Oh, but there is not ice machine, just bahs sold at the store below the hotel. The closet was big so we did have room to put all of our stuff, but no iron or hair dryers are provided. The shower pressure was very low and we did have to get an employee to assist us with hot water, which we did not have. The communal patio was ok, but can become crowded especially when it is rainy. Location is great on the boardwalk, but parking has an overflow ,ot on the next block, so a cart is useful. We did not use the heated pool in the parking lot. When we go to the beach we just are looking for a place to sleep and do not require too many extras, but this place was a bit disappointing. We didn't have a terrible experience but we will not book a room at the Majestic in the future. Oh and they do use real keys on key chains which was kind of fun but inconvenient when we went our own way. Also, the old time pictures on the wall were strange becuase they were of a city, but not OCMD.

There’s not enough space here. But what pushed me over my limit was having no water and then when I finally got water, I had to rinse myself off in rusty brown water, being a blonde and a female that was a no go. That was my last straw and that’s when I left and went home and they have not give me a refund at this time. Their rooms were dirty. The bathtub was dirty. The ocean view was a window that you couldn’t even see-through and you couldn’t lift it up to look out because it wouldn’t stay up and it would slam down and cut your arm or your head off. The door to get in my room was Barbie size. It was the worst stay I’ve had in OC in 40 years.

Although the location was ideal, the cleanliness of the hotel was awful. The room had no trash can and had left over trash from previous people. The floor was dirty and had to ask staff to sweep it. Would not stay again unless major upgrades be done.
