Everything about this was wonderful. The service was personal and exceptional. Lucas, the manager was first rate. The property is nestled among cottonwoods just SE of downtown. It was quiet and close. Our room was spacious and lovely with a courtyard garden area, dining area, fireplace, coffee, fridge and AC. The bathroom was huge, beautiful and spa like. The jetted tub and walk in shower all done in marble. Exceptional!!! The kids enjoyed the pool located at a larger sister property and we all loved a gourmet breakfast there. Our mistake was not having cash to leave for gratuities. The service was always impeccable!

Breakfasts were great. We had quiche, chobani yogurt, fresh berries, bagels, pastry, juice and coffee offered each morning. Provided safe parking for vehicle. Room was a little dusty. Luke was friendly and very accomodating.

Lovely, private, small hotel off the beaten path in Taos - a half mile walk to town. The decor and intimacy were everything a Taos getaway should be - if you like that kind of thing. Of course, the highlight was Nicolas' breakfast - custom-prepared for the few tenants in shoulder season. The green Chile omelet, the hash browns and perfectly cooked crispy bacon were only outmatched by the best bread pudding ever. His trick? Using day old croissants in a perfect meld of flavors, including chocolate - and topping with a delicious sauce. Luke communicated with us early and was always available for help. The property was clean and well kept up. Walk into the main entry and you’re greeted by a supply of umbrellas, coffee and/or fresh water infusers and plenty of seating with attractive outdoor patios for relaxing. Sam, who did housekeeping, was very pleasant and the rooms showed their commitment to cleanliness. Beds were luxurious The jacuzzi tub was huge, but the hot water supply not QUITE as much as needed for a hot bath, and as often is the case, the nozzles of the whirlpool itself put out a small bit of mold. The portable air conditioner worked well until the vent to the window inexplicably detached and the room got warmer than the outside temp. We just opened the door. The room was huge and very comfortable. The only unexpected item was the necessity of traveling to the sister property for the complimentary breakfast. The food was wonderful, as was the shuttle driver, Everett, who was also the valet at the larger hotel. During a busier season, that could be an inconvenience but it was fine for us in the early season which had below capacity booking at both properties. It’s close enough to walk on surface streets with some traffic and few sidewalks if the weather is good. All in all, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. It was a wonderful trip. Thanks to the staff for our first visit to Taos.

This is a total gem! The breakfasts are world class and the access to the spa, pool, and facilities at the sister property are a huge bonus! The property managers make you feel completely at home. It was also nice to mingle and chat with the other guests staying here. A remarkable place!! If our travels bring us back to Taos, we will definitely stay here!

The property manager communicated well before my stay and was very welcoming and informative upon my arrival. The room was spacious and aesthetic, with an especially large shower that included a sitting platform. The landscaped grounds were attractive and there was ample parking proximal to the room. Moreover, the location was excellent for Taos Plaza, restaurants, Kit Carson Blvd., and hiking. All but hiking was available via a quick walk and mountain hiking was a very reasonable drive. Breakfast was good, but boring. The same thing every day. I recommend more variety in the egg/quiche dish and fruit.

We loved our stay at Palacio Marquesa during our weekend in Taos. The place is charming and peaceful, with access to amenities at their sister properties like the pool and fitness center. The hospitality was excellent—Sam greeted us by name and made us feel truly welcome. The only downside was the breakfast. It was very limited, offering just one main item along with some fruit and pastries. If you have any food allergies, you're basically left with just fruit, which isn’t ideal considering the higher price for breakfast. Other than that, it’s a great place that I highly recommend. Next time, we’ll definitely return—just without the breakfast add-on.

Room was esthetically pleasing but i was disappointed with the housekeeping. Stayed two nights, bed not made, used towels not replaced, room lighting poor. Table lamp not bright enough to read by, overhead lighting too bright to leave on if bed partner wants to sleep. Shower beautiful but shower head too small. Overall, lovely aesthetics but poor functionality.

Charming, small hotel. Our room, while clean and stylish, seemed worn. Especially the floors in both the room and bathroom. The manager Luke was wonderful and very accommodating. We really enjoyed having access to the lobby/dining area after hours for tea and hot cocoa.

Nicholas was wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing! The room needed to be cleaned up a bit more/quality assurance- the floor was a bit dusty, the bathroom since drained slowly, and the toilet seat was loose. I mentioned the maintanence items to Nick upon checkout and he was apologetic

It was very quiet and peaceful. There were only 8 rooms at this B and B, so the stay felt personable and special. The staff were very accommodating, knowledgeable about the area and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean.

The Palacio De Marquesa is kind of "rustic". Which is to say, the central heat doesn't work (they provide portable electric heaters, which sometimes work). If I'm paying around $100 per night, I don't mind rustic. But they charge $300 per night, for which I expect a lot better.

If you are into rooms without housekeeping service, lukewarm showers with almost no water pressure, malfunctioning toilets, clogged sinks, surroundings that have seen better days, this could be the right place for you! Be prepared to walk thirty minutes to a separate breakfast location, wait another thirty minutes to be seated, and then an additional thirty minutes to receive your meal!

Nice place, nice staff. A/C was portable units with hose to window, noisy and not as effective as built-in. Probably not an easy upgrade in this beautiful building

The property manager communicated well before my stay and was very welcoming and informative upon my arrival. The room was spacious and aesthetic, with an especially large shower that included a sitting platform. The landscaped grounds were attractive and there was ample parking proximal to the room. Moreover, the location was excellent for Taos Plaza, restaurants, Kit Carson Blvd., and hiking. All but hiking was available via a quick walk and mountain hiking was a very reasonable drive. Breakfast was good, but boring. The same thing every day. I recommend more variety in the egg/quiche dish and fruit.

The property was lovely, we were assigned the Diva Room, and we stayed 4 nights here on the recommendation of friend- so I really wanted to love it. We didn’t get to experience the fabulous service nor on-property breakfast as we never saw anyone onsite. Pros: Beautiful property, Location, Parking, contactless checkin, Courtyard, Cleanliness, Comfortable bed, coffee in room, breakfast voucher to sister property is generous. Cons: Breakfast several blocks (20 minute walk) away, Self serve-supplies/toiletries/towels, loud free standing AC window unit, limited natural light in room during day, low water pressure, and coffee cream pods were rotten and black coffee it was. Note: it seems maybe they are going through a transition as our experience was very different from previous reviews and our friends recommendations. The property is lovely, but some items should be addressed. Also- please note the true distance to breakfast at sister property on check-in instructions. It’s MUCH further than 1 block.

It was quiet and close. Our room was spacious and lovely with a courtyard garden area, dining area, fireplace, coffee, fridge and AC. The bathroom was huge, beautiful and spa like. The jetted tub and walk in shower all done in marble. Exceptional!!! The kids enjoyed the pool located at a larger sister property and we all loved a gourmet breakfast there. Breakfasts were great. We had quiche, chobani yogurt, fresh berries, bagels, pastry, juice and coffee offered each morning. Provided safe parking for vehicle. Room was a little dusty. Luke was friendly and very accomodating.

Sam checked us in and was personable, quick and attentive to our needs. The room was larger than anticipated, had a clean, spacious bathroom and we loved the natural light from the skylights. Breakfast quiche was also tasty.

Nobody around when we arrived. Had to call someone to let us in. No breakfast at property. Had to go to their sister hotel which had abysmal service but great food when it FINALLY came. The sister location HAS to be in cahoots w/ DOGE. Severely understaffed.

We loved our stay at Palacio Marquesa during our weekend in Taos. The place is charming and peaceful, with access to amenities at their sister properties like the pool and fitness center. The hospitality was excellent—Sam greeted us by name and made us feel truly welcome. The only downside was the breakfast. It was very quiet and peaceful. There were only 8 rooms at this B and B, so the stay felt personable and special. The staff were very accommodating, knowledgeable about the area and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean.

Our issue was being sent to a “sister property” for our included breakfast. We gave our name to the hostess (Lea) At El Monte Sagrado hotel reception but did not receive our breakfast vouchers. We were traveling with another couple (family) and the waitress covered most of our breakfast with their two vouchers. The mistake did “rub me the wrong way.” When I spoke to reception again after breakfast, she found my name on the list emailed from Palacio De Marquesa hotel. It made for an unpleasant situation…and we had to get up a drive off property for our meal.
Our issue was being sent to a “sister property” for our included breakfast. We gave our name to the hostess (Lea) At El Monte Sagrado hotel reception but did not receive our breakfast vouchers. We were traveling with another couple (family) and the waitress covered most of our breakfast with their two vouchers. Lovely, private, small hotel off the beaten path in Taos - a half mile walk to town. The decor and intimacy were everything a Taos getaway should be - if you like that kind of thing. Of course, the highlight was Nicolas' breakfast - custom-prepared for the few tenants in shoulder season. The green Chile omelet, the hash browns and perfectly cooked crispy bacon were only outmatched by the best bread pudding ever. His trick? Using day old croissants in a perfect meld of flavors, including chocolate - and topping with a delicious sauce. Another plus for Palacio is its sister hotel where you can use their pool and spa services. We didn't, but were glad for the option.

It’s quaint, but the property itself is well kept. The landscaping and garden area needs some work. Their sister property is much nicer. The room was nice. Their sister location, which is much larger, has happy hour daily and include $5 tacos on the bar menu. Not handy for pool usage as it is a 5minute drive to the sister location where the pool is. Breakfast with different daily quiche, fresh fruits, croissants or pasties, coffee in the pot or Nespresso. Helpful staff wonderful garden area and close to everything in town. Roads are narrow and probably not the best for walking to restaurants nearby.

A lovely "boutique" hotel. The hotel is an older, but well-maintained building, with a classy vibe. We had a lovely room that was clean and cool. The thick adobe walls and tiled floor kept the room cool in spite of the high temperatures outside. Air conditioning was available but wasn't necessary. The room had comfortable beds with nice sheets and comfortable pillows and had a large en-suite bathroom that included a huge jacuzzi tub and large walk-in shower, together with twin sinks. The toilet was situated in a rather small and tight room in the bathroom area. Situated off the main road in Toas, the hotel was in a quiet area, but close enough for easy access to the town. Parking was available in an area shaded by some large, old trees and there seemed to be sufficient room, as the hotel was small enough that there weren't that many guests. Breakfast was good with nice coffee, fruit, yoghurt, juice and some delicious quiche and pastries. The staff were friendly and helpful, though check-in and check-out wasn't as easy as in some larger chain hotels, as you ahd to wait for someone to appear. We were only provided one key for the room, though it would have been nice to have two. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would go back again.

Parking was available in an area shaded by some large, old trees and there seemed to be sufficient room, as the hotel was small enough that there weren't that many guests. Breakfast was good with nice coffee, fruit, yoghurt, juice and some delicious quiche and pastries. The staff were friendly and helpful, though check-in and check-out wasn't as easy as in some larger chain hotels, as you ahd to wait for someone to appear. We were only provided one key for the room, though it would have been nice to have two. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would go back again.
