There was one family of 5 in room 3 who never supervised their children who constantly screamed the entire time they were in the pool. Finally another guest asked the kids to stop screaming all day long. The quiet lasted about an hour. Their smallest child about 15 mos old,was left by the pool many times without any floatation and eventually fell in the pool. Our room was very clean, but it needs additional lighting, in my opinion.

The view from the property balcony is lovely, the room was fine and the staff in the main were helpful. The description of on site food for breakfast, dining and drinks availability was false as the adjacent restaurant and bar was closed due to recent damage by Storm Beryl! We had not been told about this and it would definitely effected our decision to book this place had we had known beforehand. The information provided by Expedia leaves a lot to be desired and I am unlikely to use them again. I'm trying to be fair but due to the damage the restaurant was been repaired and we were in fact next to a building site with workmen and concrete mixers on site most days.

These self catering apartments are in a great location with a Massy stores opposite and on the bus route. There was quite a swell for the 12 days I was there and the red flag was up on one day when it was particularly rough but was fine for swimming otherwise and is roped off and safe from jet skis and other craft. There is less sand on the beach directly outside due to the storm last year but a line of sunbeds and umbrellas are put out every morning and there was always one free every time I wanted one…however the sunbeds by the pool (no umbrellas) were reserved by guests placing their towels starting from before 6am. The deck area has not yet been rebuilt since the storm. I’ve stayed here several times over the last few years and the location, comparative calmness of the sea and value for money on this part of the west coast is unbeatable. A 3-star hotel in a 5-star location

Spotless clean kitchen was well equipped and the shower was excellent The whole area was spacious with a generous balcony Location was excellent and close to shops Supermarket cafes restaurants and the bus The staff were super helpful and courteous Plus the lovely beach was just beyond the pool and patio area.

It was always clean, inside, rooms were clean. The outside area was clean, had a water tap plus a huge water container to rinse your feet off after being in the ocean and sand, so it wasn’t all over the pool or tracked inside the hotel or rooms. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay, highly recommend.

We had a fantastic 10 days here recently. The location can’t be beaten - right on the beach with free sunbeds and towels available daily. Close to the supermarket and lots of restaurants are within walking distance.All rooms have a sea view so you get the benefit of beautiful sunsets each night. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are comfortable. Linen and towels clean and changed regularly. The staff here are fantastic- nothing is too much trouble and they are very helpful( Curly and his team are great- they will look after you on the beach and around the pool). Lots of people return to this hotel year after year and I can understand why - we will certainly book again. The hotel is a bit dated and so are the kitchens in the room -so probably not the best place if you want to cook lots of meals although is it perfectly adequate overall with a large fridge freezer/ kettle / toaster and hob.

Convenience and proximity to the beach was great. The use of Beach chairs was an added bonus and available throughout the day. Large grocery store right across the street was perfect for picking up items for the room. All staff from cleaning team, front desk and pool attendants were all very lovely and helpful. Entry system into the property made me feel safe as well. Generally Holetown was a bit smaller town than I expected. Unless you plan to spend large on meals each night, the options for less expensive meals are few. Otherwise was a good relaxing trip and we enjoyed another part of Beautiful Barbados. The sunsets from our room patio were spectacular!!

Upon arrival, we were left a little unsure about our choice - but after settling in, we knew right away this was the right place for us. The room was very simple - but we weren't here for the room . . . we were here for the beach and all the other amenities this property had to offer - and it delivered fantastically! We made many great friends of the staff - and cannot wait to return again someday soon.

Despite Hurricane Beryl having an adverse effect on apartments and beach the teams at Zaccios and Tropical Sunset pulled out all the stops to get everything up and running. Absolutely fabulous location but mostly it's the wonderful staff at Tropical Sunset that made our stay so amazing. The best service we have ever received innBarbados! Special mention to Curly who always does what he can to ensure guests can enjoy the beach and sunbeds! Especially sorting beds on the beach for Christmas Day. Unfussy but clean rooms with the most fantastic sea and Sunset views. Thankyou Tropical Sunset for making our stay so wonderful. Jacqui and Chris

Just enjoyed a great week at this property. The rooms are not fancy but they were clean and the proprietor made sure that cleaning and maintenance took place everyday. The view from our ground floor apartment on to the pool and the ocean was breath taking. Kudos to Curly the everything man who was friendly courteous and helpful. Zaccios the restaurant next door served some delicious cuisine and we were able to find full breakfast within walking distance at Cafe Carizma. Will definitely stay there again.

My stay at this hotel was exactly what I wanted. Clean and comfortable with a great view. The staff were all fantastic. They were welcoming and extremely helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

The rooms are dated. Cleaning of the room with new towels etc was only done every other day. We had two bath mats at either side of the bed on the floor. These were dirty and had not been replaced after the previous guests. Reception area v dated . Hotel staff v friendly however.

It was very old. The tv didn’t work, the safe didn’t work so they gave us the Master key & said Did nt lose it ! And the toilet blocked up every night . Lots of street noise and despite reviews saying staff were friendly, we didn’t come across many friendly ones . Checked out 3 days early.

Excellent location right on the beach. Fixtures, furniture, linens were worn and dated. Food and prices were good in the restaurant. People were very friendly, nice and helpful. Excellent view from the balcony on third floor.

Just enjoyed a great week at this property. The rooms are not fancy but they were clean and the proprietor made sure that cleaning and maintenance took place everyday. The view from our ground floor apartment on to the pool and the ocean was breath taking. Kudos to Curly the everything man who was friendly courteous and helpful. Zaccios the restaurant next door served some delicious cuisine and we were able to find full breakfast within walking distance at Cafe Carizma. Will definitely stay there again.

Convenience and proximity to the beach was great. The use of Beach chairs was an added bonus and available throughout the day. Large grocery store right across the street was perfect for picking up items for the room. All staff from cleaning team, front desk and pool attendants were all very lovely and helpful. Entry system into the property made me feel safe as well. Generally Holetown was a bit smaller town than I expected. Unless you plan to spend large on meals each night, the options for less expensive meals are few. Otherwise was a good relaxing trip and we enjoyed another part of Beautiful Barbados. The sunsets from our room patio were spectacular!!

Despite Hurricane Beryl having an adverse effect on apartments and beach the teams at Zaccios and Tropical Sunset pulled out all the stops to get everything up and running. Absolutely fabulous location but mostly it's the wonderful staff at Tropical Sunset that made our stay so amazing. The best service we have ever received innBarbados! Special mention to Curly who always does what he can to ensure guests can enjoy the beach and sunbeds! Especially sorting beds on the beach for Christmas Day. These self catering apartments are in a great location with a Massy stores opposite and on the bus route. There was quite a swell for the 12 days I was there and the red flag was up on one day when it was particularly rough but was fine for swimming otherwise and is roped off and safe from jet skis and other craft. There is less sand on the beach directly outside due to the storm last year but a line of sunbeds and umbrellas are put out every morning and there was always one free every time I wanted one…however the sunbeds by the pool (no umbrellas) were reserved by guests placing their towels starting from before 6am. The deck area has not yet been rebuilt since the storm. I’ve stayed here several times over the last few years and the location, comparative calmness of the sea and value for money on this part of the west coast is unbeatable. A 3-star hotel in a 5-star location

We had a fantastic 10 days here recently. The location can’t be beaten - right on the beach with free sunbeds and towels available daily. Close to the supermarket and lots of restaurants are within walking distance.All rooms have a sea view so you get the benefit of beautiful sunsets each night. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are comfortable. Linen and towels clean and changed regularly. The staff here are fantastic- nothing is too much trouble and they are very helpful( Curly and his team are great- they will look after you on the beach and around the pool). Lots of people return to this hotel year after year and I can understand why - we will certainly book again. The hotel is a bit dated and so are the kitchens in the room -so probably not the best place if you want to cook lots of meals although is it perfectly adequate overall with a large fridge freezer/ kettle / toaster and hob.

The view from the property balcony is lovely, the room was fine and the staff in the main were helpful. The description of on site food for breakfast, dining and drinks availability was false as the adjacent restaurant and bar was closed due to recent damage by Storm Beryl! We had not been told about this and it would definitely effected our decision to book this place had we had known beforehand. The information provided by Expedia leaves a lot to be desired and I am unlikely to use them again. I'm trying to be fair but due to the damage the restaurant was been repaired and we were in fact next to a building site with workmen and concrete mixers on site most days.

The hotel is a great location, close to grocery stores, Starbucks is across the street. Kitchen with full refrigerator and stovetop. Coffee pot in room. Shopping and restaurants are all walking distance. Beach bar, restaurant, pool and beach chairs with umbrellas right outside your back door. Staff and security are excellent. Towels are hard to get so bring your own or plan ahead for your next towel. Busy street out front so horns from buses can be loud if trying to sleep in or rest during the day but I’d definitely stay there again. The beach was clean and we didn’t have to worry about sargassum the entire week. The marine park is right next door if you like to snorkel and the fish are amazing!

Aircon and ceiling fan work well. Great sunset view from the balcony and a beach bar with happy hour(s) on site too, which gets popular. We will book again in the future. Side notes. No corkscrew in the room the bar staff are happy to uncork for you. No first aid kit (plasters/band aid only) so take your own (and I usually do - doh) for when the sidewalk removes a chunk of skin from your toe!
