The hotel is what you expect from a budget hotel, except it was excellent. The room was a little small, you had the sink on the wall of the bedroom next to the toilet, but this is a budget hotel. The room the bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable. It had a bar which is unusual for a budget hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I went for breakfast I their restaurant and it was very good. ( I stayed in a hotel in New York a couple of months ago which cost me a lot more. Their breakfast was nowhere near as good as the Ibis) The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. My car broke down and I explained to a member of staff what and she said I could wait in the bar area for help. She asked me if I would like to watch TV and changed it to the channel I would like. I would recommend this hotel to stay in and I will be using it again when I come Burton. For the price it can't be beaten. Thank you for a great stay.

Awful place; booked and reserved through Trivago price showed as £40 option of £9 extra for a breakfast: Charged £58 on arrival without breakfast, Kitchen under refurbishment so unable to access breakfast, bar unable to serve alcohol. Rats running around outside. Avoid - 1st and last stay in an Ibis.

Was warmly welcomed given room and paid no problems room was on ground floor no45 unfortunately the bar area was quite close and very noisy due to a builders Christmas party in full swing doing karaoke I persevered for an hour as I needed sleep I asked if I could move to another room and was instantly moved upstairs to a quiet room which was perfect So thanks for been so helpful great nights sleep good breakfast so after a iffy start it was a great stay thanks

Pros: very quiet services so decent sleep, restaurant available, reasonably priced rooms, room was spotlessly clean - you could smell the cleaning products as you opened the door, modern stylish rooms, powerful shower, decent tv, little row of shops outside consisting of independent coffee shop, beauty salon, charity shop, subway, pan Thai restaurant (a bit of a random collection 😅) petrol station shop is easy to walk to, nice looking pub a short walk, dog friendly and less of a charge than Travelodge!, plenty of charge points for EV, absolutely didn't look like a budget hotel when we went in - I thought we were in the wrong building - feels much more upmarket and new. Cons: the main services building is pretty much deserted which is a little creepy, the KFC drive through is now abandoned, there's no hot drink facilities in your room - it's help yourself from reception, which is nice but being mobility impaired I need a bit of oomph to get me going on the morning and it was way too far for me to be able to walk when I've just got up, the bathroom set up in the room is a little strange - toilet and shower in separate cubicles and then the wash basin in the bedroom bit - a bit unusual but got used to it, rooms are a little small but that's the idea!, parking is chargeable (£3) unless you book direct - I think a parking charge is unnecessary considering how quiet the services actually are.

The hotel is a good place to stay when all you need is a bed . Rooms are fairly small but comfortable. Restaurant/ bar on site is a bonus and there is a nice pub and coffee shop close by .

Very basic but fine if all you need is a bed. May be standard for ibis, but room doesn't get turned over unless you put a sign out asking. When it was the bed was made but bedding wasn't changed, and they left dirty glasses on the side.

The staff at Ibis Hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room itself was spotless, with all the essentials – a TV, strong WiFi, a wonderfully hot shower, and a convenient coffee station by reception for that morning pick-me-up. The hotel offered some nice amenities as well, with a bar perfect for unwinding after a long day, and breakfast available at an affordable price. Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a rather unpleasant odour. There was a strong smell of dog in the room, which seemed like an attempt had been made to mask with bleach. While I appreciate the effort to freshen the room, the combination wasn't ideal. Overall, Ibis Hotel offered a clean and comfortable stay with friendly service and handy amenities. Almost everything about the budget ibis is good except for what I needed and that’s a mattress that we could sleep on. We both woke up throughout the night in pain! (Home mattress is medium to firm,) but theirs were beyond firm. Such a shame as It even had aircon which was much appreciated

Convenient location next to motorway with parking. Immaculately clean fresh modern room with ac. The shower is powerful with plenty of hot water. Shower and hand washing gel provided. WiFi is fast and free. Work station for laptop with usb socket. Tea and coffee making facilities in reception. Hotel is clean. Breakfast tasty. Next door is a Subway, coffee shop and Pan Asian eatery. The Cherry tree farmhouse opposite does serve good food. The Steak and ale pie is on another level and their cakes are something you won’t have seen before. Friendly reception and house keeping staff. It’s a budget hotel done to a high standard.

Basic hotel, but clean and with friendly reception staff. Definitely missed having a kettle in the room, which as a Brit I think is a pretty basic ask! Very small rooms. Ok for a 1 night stay but would have struggled if staying any longer.

Lovely quiet hotel, very well looked after, breakfast was nice, we got there very late and staff was very welcoming, only thing we had an issue was the bed was very hard and pillows was really soft and maybe needed extra ones or thicker/ harder ones

A budget hotel in a great location if you have a car. The rooms and hotel looked modern and new. Everything worked and the bed was comfortable and the shower worked perfectly. The room rate was good value for a compact room. More somewhere to lay your head than spend a lot of time in your room. Local amenieties also very handy and immediately outside the hotel. With local towns and Derby city centre only a few minutes away. Only negative would be if a long stay there is little room to lay out clothes, but ideal for a weekend break or business trip.

They would have gotten five stars but they wouldn’t refund my nexT stay that I made a mistake and booked in the wrong location. So they basically got £45 of my money for nothing when I tried to cancel 4 days in advance. I will never stay there again!!!!

The lady who checked us in was very welcoming and kind. The lady who was on duty this morning was equally as fantasy- thank you both so much! The room was compact, spotless and comfortable. Will definitely stay again when I need to be in the area

Was warmly welcomed given room and paid no problems room was on ground floor no45 unfortunately the bar area was quite close and very noisy due to a builders Christmas party in full swing doing karaoke I persevered for an hour as I needed sleep I asked if I could move to another room and was instantly moved upstairs to a quiet room which was perfect So thanks for been so helpful great nights sleep good breakfast so after a iffy start it was a great stay thanks

Well we had a troubleshooting time trying to check in i paid the hotel room but unfortunately the Internet connection was not good and my transaction failed and then to my amazement the manager asked for the money again i didn't have this kind of money twice and he refused us to check into the hotel my autism lad was quite upset so i rang my bank and they refunded my money back as it was pending and i paid again not even a apology

Great location, super friendly staff, good selection at the bar and breakfast was a bonus. Mercia Marina is a 5 min drive from the hotel and it’s well worth a visit!

A budget hotel in a great location if you have a car. The rooms and hotel looked modern and new. Everything worked and the bed was comfortable and the shower worked perfectly. The room rate was good value for a compact room. More somewhere to lay your head than spend a lot of time in your room. Local amenieties also very handy and immediately outside the hotel. With local towns and Derby city centre only a few minutes away. Only negative would be if a long stay there is little room to lay out clothes, but ideal for a weekend break or business trip.

The hotel is what you expect from a budget hotel, except it was excellent. The room was a little small, you had the sink on the wall of the bedroom next to the toilet, but this is a budget hotel. The room the bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable. It had a bar which is unusual for a budget hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I went for breakfast I their restaurant and it was very good. ( I stayed in a hotel in New York a couple of months ago which cost me a lot more. Their breakfast was nowhere near as good as the Ibis) The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. My car broke down and I explained to a member of staff what and she said I could wait in the bar area for help. She asked me if I would like to watch TV and changed it to the channel I would like. I would recommend this hotel to stay in and I will be using it again when I come Burton. For the price it can't be beaten. Thank you for a great stay.

Very nice place to stay we only had a o ernight stay but got a warm welcome from helpful staff the room was spotless and clean with everyrlthibg in working order the bed made for a good nights sleep and the breakfast was well cooked with a full English and continental buffet 5star all day long and will most definitely be staying again

WiFi is fast and free. Work station for laptop with usb socket. Tea and coffee making facilities in reception. Hotel is clean. Breakfast tasty. Next door is a Subway, coffee shop and Pan Asian eatery. The Cherry tree farmhouse opposite does serve good food. The Steak and ale pie is on another level and their cakes are something you won’t have seen before. Friendly reception and house keeping staff. It’s a budget hotel done to a high standard.

Beds are not very comfortable - the mattress needs changing. Breakfast very basic - no cheese, cold cuts, eggs apart from scrambled eggs which don't look appetizing, no fruit and only toast no bread or rolls. Far too expensive for the choice of food.

Perfectly acceptable place to stay for an event in neighbouring village. Accommodation itself is OK if basic - To note the rooms do not include kettles though there is an urn in the cafe. For the money I thought the breakfast was poor - limited selection with no fruit.

Stay was fine. Room was good, clean and basic. Was missing some basic things like a toilet brush or hair dryer which I thought would be included. The breakfast was not worth the £8.99 I paid for it as it was very limited and not brilliant food.

The room was small but that’s what we expected, having the shower leading straight in the room was a bit strange, we had missing towels but reception gave us more. Please don’t do what we did and expect more from a £70 room, you get what it is and no more. Had to pay for car parking as we booked though a third party on the internet, it was only £5 but did not mention that when booking. Had a good stay for one night but any longer I wouldn’t have been happy.

Room was spotless and comfortable with the Air conditioning system, not intuitive system but worked, quiet and had a good night sleep and do recommend it for overnight stay for a budget.

Two single beds, not twin beds, one pushed against shower wall with second bed with about 20cm (8") gap between so very cramped with one small table and one chair. Description of Twin Beds untrue. Budget hotel but cramped space not worth the high price charged of £63.65/ person/ night. Staff pleasant but not helpful. Good breakfast.
