This hotel charges £20 per night for residents in an incredibly small and difficult to turn car park. The reception space was lovely and quirky however the welcome was lack lustre. We were told to help ourselves to fresh milk but when we did later in the day the 2 people chatting on reception watched me open an empty fridge and search until I asked for milk. Parts of the hotel need attention, the restaurant ceiling has holes in it. Cocktails are nice and staff were friendly. Overall a quirky hotel that was comfortable. Nice touches like the larder, however small improvements would make it better than average.

Really lovely and unique hotel. Clean room. However, we were in an outside room that was between the restaurant and outside bar area. It was very loud to the point we couldn't sit and watch TV. At one point a large group were just stood outside the door shouting and yelling. Gorgeous breakfast on the first morning but the second seemed to be understaffed and we had to keep asking for things. And the eggs were barely cooked! Great location.

Felt the facilities did not match the description or the cost to stay there, rooms were small, shower leaked, not very clean, seemed an issue to book a time for breakfast (limited choice, I.e no cereal, told all booked at 8pm so went down earlier and restaurant was empty until 8.30? Bar poorly stocked, small area to sit, seemed to struggle to find extra tea making condiments, just seemed expensive and under whelmed sadly, would not stay there again, plus £20 per night to park there seemed excessive

Lovely place close to the centre. Hotel is really nice but plenty of stairs to room if you are not on the ground floor. Courtyard was really nice to sit and have a drink and a bite to eat

Hotel is stunning and decor inside is stunning. We had an issue with our room plus service is extremely hit and miss. Food is exceptional at both dinner and breakfast. We wouldn't stay here again but would definitely come here for food. Car park charge of £20 per night for paying guests is a major turn off.

Rooms are very nicely furnished. Beautiful blend of old and new. No lift. Sheets and beds magnificent. Excellent bathrooms. Very modern and delicious breakfast I recommend including it. Excellent patio to wind down with Rose. Complements to the dinner chef, creative menu, delicious

Great stay in lovely Bath. Wonderful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location to the centre, close to restaurants and shops. Easy parking. Our second visit and would definitely stay again.

Had a 2-night stay Fri-Sun with my university-aged daughter: The hotel is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All bedding and fixtures and fittings are top-quality, with black-out blinds in our bedroom and a fabulous rain-shower shower head. Nice toiletries as well, and a Dyson hairdryer in the room as well as quality ironing board and iron. Extra little touches such as complimentary chilled water bottles in room as well as a complimentary communal 'help yourself' fridge for further cold drinks and snacks (sweets, crisps and fruit). Offer of chilled bottled water for drive home after checking out. Breakfast was superb: the quality of the produce appeared to be local and homemade (from the bread for toast up to the eggs, sausages and bacon). Freshly-squeezed orange juice was lovely, as were the coffee selections which tasted like a barista's. All staff are friendly, attentive and well-spoken. There's a lovely outside terrace outside the bar/restaurant area. Location of hotel is perfect: on the other side of the river but only a 10-15 minutes' flat walk to everything in the heart of Bath such as the Roman Baths and Abbey, etc.

We had a lovely two night stay at The Bird. The hotel is really nice, clean, well presented with lots of little touches, everything you would want from a boutique hotel. The staff were brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. Good choice from the breakfast menu. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel about 10/15 min walk from town centre Good breakfast We had a cosy room which was fine for us although the bathroom toilet was bit cramped and bathroom door needed replacing due to a previous flood ? We would definitely stay again

Good points: Comfortable and warm rooms, pleasing decor, wonderful hosts and great breakfast - good quality sausages and bacon, with lovely presentation. Bedding lovely quality and super clean. Dyson hairdryer in the room, coffee maker (had to google instructions) and generally nice attention to detail. Owner (?!) made a lovely gesture of giving us bottled water and cookies for the trip home. Close to town centre. Not so good points: had a cosy King room which was situated in an extension in the garden. Had to keep curtains closed as people eating in pods outside. Extension didn’t really lend itself to the rest of the building and was just a weird set-up. Damp patch in the bathroom behind the door and the plaster had come away. Again, didn’t lend itself to the rest of the quality and attention to detail. Tried to order some fresh milk for our morning coffee, however couldn’t get the stylish in-room phone to work. Called through on mobile phone but couldn’t get an answer. Wardrobe in room looked more like a filing cabinet, again, not in keeping. £20 car park charge is insane, given the cost of the room. Was it worth it? Yes, we had a wonderful time but the location of the room spoilt it for us.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and bars. Very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly! The complimentary sweets and drinks were a lovely bonus and also the rocky road for our journey home. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice. Would definitely go again, thank you.

Arrived after a long drive, I was greeted by warm and welcome reception staff. Full explanation of where everything was and if I needed anything else like fresh milk, complimentary items etc. I was asked if i was going to tour Bath but I was only there for one night so unable to, but appreciative of the advice if it was a leisure stay. I stayed in room 12 on the 2nd floor. An fyi, there wasn’t a lift but good to get the steps in! Reception staff kindly helped me with my bags. Room was cosy and full of mod-cons! Lovely bathroom (no bath). Shower fab! Only minor criticism was there was a bit of road noise as single paned glass but I slept well. Comfy bed :) nice selection of refreshments and tv easy to use. Will definitely stay again for any potential, future business trips in the Bath area.

Not so good points: had a cosy King room which was situated in an extension in the garden. Had to keep curtains closed as people eating in pods outside. Extension didn’t really lend itself to the rest of the building and was just a weird set-up. Damp patch in the bathroom behind the door and the plaster had come away. Again, didn’t lend itself to the rest of the quality and attention to detail. Tried to order some fresh milk for our morning coffee, however couldn’t get the stylish in-room phone to work. Called through on mobile phone but couldn’t get an answer. Wardrobe in room looked more like a filing cabinet, again, not in keeping. £20 car park charge is insane, given the cost of the room. Was it worth it? Yes, we had a wonderful time but the location of the room spoilt it for us.

This hotel charges £20 per night for residents in an incredibly small and difficult to turn car park. The reception space was lovely and quirky however the welcome was lack lustre. We were told to help ourselves to fresh milk but when we did later in the day the 2 people chatting on reception watched me open an empty fridge and search until I asked for milk. Parts of the hotel need attention, the restaurant ceiling has holes in it. Cocktails are nice and staff were friendly. Overall a quirky hotel that was comfortable. Nice touches like the larder, however small improvements would make it better than average.

We had a lovely two night stay at The Bird. The hotel is really nice, clean, well presented with lots of little touches, everything you would want from a boutique hotel. The staff were brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. Good choice from the breakfast menu. Would definitely recommend.

We wouldn't stay here again but would definitely come here for food. Car park charge of £20 per night for paying guests is a major turn off.

Wow what a stay! The boutique is gorgeous The room and bed were sensational! Amy the manager went out of her way to make our time special even getting us a dinner reservation at a favorite restaurant. A great breakfast with wide variety. Lastly, Carla the bartender makes an excellent gin drink. Ask for it if you’re a gin fan. We will be letting our friends know this is the place to stay in Bath!

Stayed overnight prior to my daughter's graduation. Staff were super helpful even allowing me to keep my car parked for a few hours after checkout so didn't have to worry whilst attending the graduation ceremony. Thank you Bird Hotel for such a lovely stay over.

Hosts were exceedingly welcoming and friendly, particularly Caroline. Our room was clean, comfortable and pretty as was the restaurant. The food was very good. The restaurant staff were oddly nervous but gave good service and were very nice. We had a lovely view over the rugby club and the city skyline. Bath city centre is a simple 15 minute stroll away. We loved our stay, would definitely come again and recommend others do so too.

Really liked our stay here at the Bird, Bath. A little quirky but not too much. Breakfast was great and staff were very pleasant. Great proximity to the city on foot and easy to walk everywhere. A couple of things could be improved, but not bad at all!

We loved our stay here! The hotel is beautiful, room was great, short 10 minute walk to Roman Baths and Bath Abbey. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend!

Really lovely and unique hotel. Clean room. However, we were in an outside room that was between the restaurant and outside bar area. It was very loud to the point we couldn't sit and watch TV. At one point a large group were just stood outside the door shouting and yelling. Gorgeous breakfast on the first morning but the second seemed to be understaffed and we had to keep asking for things. And the eggs were barely cooked! Great location.

We went for three nights , The staff were all amazing right throughout the hotel . When we went for breakfast there was a lady waitress with blonde hair who was so lovely , and smiling all the time . Everyone was so helpful all the time . All the staff were polite and welcoming to us . We liked that there was younger staff there running the hotel . We would definitely recommend the Bird Bath Hotel

We also received delicious fresh chocolate treats and bottled water on arrival and departure! We stayed with our spaniel, and she was very welcomed by all staff (as were we!). The car park was full when we arrived (only for a couple of hours due to an event), but it was no issue as the hotel has overflow access to parking in the bowls carpark next door. Parking was £20, but it was well worth it for two full days exploring lovely Bath. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely return to the Bird. A big thank you to the staff for making our stay special for my partner’s birthday :)
