Beautiful grounds and great hotel (with a fantastic history). The free shuttle was a great perk

The indoor pool and jacuzzi should be available during the day.

Property was beautiful, view overlooking the area was great! Parking was convenient and there were charging spots for electric cars!

Great facility and accommodations. The only criticism is that there is not enough parking in front. There might be a total of less than a dozen spaces. The lower lot has a lot of room but it's a long walk to the entrance and then when you get it, you have to take an elevator (that was not working) to the main lobby level and then take a second elevator to your room.

Nice property but the indoor pool is closed . Also couldent get a spa appointment for me and my girlfriend

Was able to get early check in used the indoor pool hot tub and sauna the staff are very friendly the whole property and rooms very clean

Wonderful experience. The only problem was the jacuzzi was only working the first 2 days of my stay

Perched on the top of a hill overlooking the Sound the Montauk Manor is a beautiful hotel. The first floor suits have gardens overlooking the Sound. It’s an amazing view. The property is well kept with a pool and tennis courts and they have rackets to lend. The shuttle to and from town is a nice touch during busy weekends.

The room was musty and damp I was very disappointed. I was sick for a week after leaving .

The staff are wonderful and the ability to take movies and board games to your rooms is a fun and charming idea. Initial check in we are placed in a room that did not feel clean or updated and there was a dog barking non stop for almost 20 minutes. We decided to ask for a room change and they upgraded us for the inconvenience. The new room we were placed in was much nicer but still some cleanliness issues. Large rust stains under the fridge and mildew forming on the drop ceiling tiles in the bathroom. Overall the room was very cozy and felt homey.

Rooms were shabby for price. Furniture and carpets were stained. Bucket left in hallway along with yellow caution sign. Walls scuffed. Furniture scuffed nicked and stained.

Beautiful hotel! Quiet and well kept. My only issue is that the couch and beds in room are quite dated and uncomfortable. Otherwise it's an amazing place to stay.

This is a decent place with interesting history. Plenty of parking and the grounds looked beautiful, but everything was closed due to the weather. The interior is a little outdated, but I didn’t mind. I did expect a larger lobby based on the photos, but maybe that was just my perception. Everything is exceptionally clean. The apartment was large, kitchen had all the essentials, and everything worked well. Check in and check out were easy and quick, and all the staff were very friendly and courteous. It was great to have the shuttle at our disposal for anything we wanted, since we came by train. On a more negative side, location of our room was not the greatest. Maybe that was on me, I should have probably asked for a quieter location, as we were right next to the elevator and could hear everything. Also, whoever was staying next door had what I assume was their living room right next to our bedroom. The walls are thin. The guest talked on the phone for literally HOURS, we could hear EVERYTHING, and there was nothing we could do until 11 pm. They kept waking us and our daughter and it was really frustrating because we escaped the city to have peace. Obviously, it’s not the property’s fault that someone was inconsiderate and rude. The staff reacted accordingly as soon as they could. However, the whole experience was sullied and I couldn’t wait to escape. The highlight of the stay was the restaurant and its sweet staff, who went out of their way for our daughter’s birthday.

Great hotel with nice rooom, just think the beds need some upgrades

Overall property is desperately in need of refurbishment. Unit itself was adequate however no iron, HVAC unit was so loud it disturbed our sleep. Inferior bathroom toiletries and products.

Our room was decorated nicely and larger than we expected.

Manager was awful. Her name was Janice nessel . We had no water for showers and we were told by her that once one person takes a shower it takes 20 minutes for the tank to get warm. She said we don’t tell our guests that. That is disgraceful. She was rude also and offered no compensation. Ironic thing was the showers were great once we knew we had to wait in between. Property was amazing except for her. She should not be allowed to deal with people. So rude. . I should have read reviews before I went as there was so many complaints against her it was unbelievable. Property was great.

Woman at front desk was unpleasant. Less than friendly here. Rooms marginal and resort fee is a joke considering there are no amenities. Tennis court is grass and defunct - restaurant was closed and the gym is the size of my closet.

Understanding that check in was at 3pm, I arrived at 12:30 explaining that I had an event at 3pm. Is there a room available? Is there a place I could change? I was told that on the lower level there was locker room (actually a bathroom-no lock; with a shower-no towels). I saw only two maintenance people in the area. I did not feel safe! I asked for a room and was again told that check in was at 3pm. Asking several employees if the Manor was at full capacity-all told me, "NO!" While I waited, I had a beverage-when asked if there were any snacks I was told to either choose a meal from a menu or use the vending machine down the hall!! When I returned after 3pm-and went to my room-the door did not fully open -it hit into the bed! In the morning, there was no coffee available in my room unless a brought my own ground coffee and filters!!! When I asked I was told that meals could be delivered from town-for a cup of coffee!! The only advantage was the shuttle-I was able to get to all of my events without driving.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at the manor. The staff was kind and checked us in quickly. The restaurant was spectacular. However, there was prior damage to the room that we were charged to repair. Make sure to take pictures of your stay prior to checking out.

The property was fine but the front desk staff made was not customer-friendly, very unwelcoming.

Close to everything

Lovely property, lovely grounds, clean well kept room with great views in a beautiful historic building, walkable distance from the Montauk train station. Friendly, helpful staff for the most part. Would stay again. A few quirks, negatives: -room smelled musty like an old summer cabin -no iron in the room and had to go to front desk to retrieve as "everyone is busy" -they hand over 5 (!) remotes to take up to the room upon checkin and had to gather them together to return upon checkout. (So weird, imo) Could only get one TV to work. -coffee is unavailable in room or lobby until restaurant opens at 8 a.m. (had a coffeemaker in room but no grounds/filters, byoc) -have to go to front desk to get key to use exercise room and return upon completion

The hotel was beautiful. Town is very close by and they offer a shuttle service to take you around. It's nice overall.

The hotel is beautiful on top of a hill with views of lakes and hills. The staff were nice friendly and informative.

Beautiful location, with an amazing sunset! Room was lovely with a fabulous view. I particularly appreciated the full kitchen, made everything super convenient and affordable. The on call shuttle takes you anywhere you want to visit, the drivers are all great! The proximity to the Long Island railroad makes this a beautiful vacation spot where you don’t need a car to fully enjoy!

We always wanted to see Montauk's State Parks. This hotel is located near them. The rooms were lovely and unique. Everyone was so friendly. The restaurant on premises, Monte's, was great too.

perfect overnight getaway . suite and indoor pool was very nice and spotless. suite was like brand new inside with everything you could think of . staff was really friendly and helpful. restaurant had very good food thought portions could of been more generous but was very good . bar was ok but i felt it was very pricey for the drinks they served .

Everything as or better than expected. Monte's restaurant, on site, was superb. Easy access to area sites. We had a perfect little getaway.

Had the flu and the Manor would NOT cancel the reservation, the weather was a monsoon and very difficult to get out there from NYC. The restaurant was small and tables were right on top of one another, food was average. All that aside the water coming from the faucets was brown, we called the front desk and were told it was being looked into and they would let us know, never heard back and decided to leave the next morning. Expedia was not able to cancel the reservation or get a refund or reschedule the date. Think twice before using Expedia again.

Resort is beautiful. Rooms are pristine. Monte’s is an amazing restaurant. Staff is great. Friendly and helpful. Great winter weekend getaway!

A nice, classy place. Good restaurant. Not cool: they charge an $18 resort fee for nothing (pool pp. closed). And I got charged $8 the day after, assume for the 2 bottles of water in the room (even though there was no note that it wasn't included). Those are the things that prevent me from going back to a place or recommend it to others.

Truly a wonderful stay with easy access to Montauk. Very nice and quiet in the off season to enjoy some local shopping or hiking at one of the parks or the beach. Fantastic indoor restaurant serving delicious Italian and great cocktails at the bar. Simple and convenient express checkout. Looking forward to returning!
