The hotel is okay, but the stairs are very steep and the room we were allocated, was on the top floor, so two flights of steep stairs. By the time we go to the top, we were both struggling. The site advertises (and I just checked again) that it has a bar, lounge and restaurant. In fact they do not have a licence, but do not charge, if you want to bring in your own drink and they do supply glasses and ice buckets. The restaurant has been redone as an Indian restaurant. It is totally Indian cuisine, unlike most Indian restaurants, in the UK, it does not offer an European alternative, for those who are not keen on India. The bathroom door did not fit well and needed a bolt lock to close it. It did not look good. The radiator was turned down, when we arrived and the room was very cold. We turned it up and eventually, it did warm the room. However the next morning, the heating did not come on at all, which made getting washed and dressing, quite stressful. The room could have been organised better, so that the tea tray, was not right beside the bed. It meant there was not a bedside table or lamp, on that side. So getting up through the night, was quite tricky. Whenever a heavy vehicle, went past on the road, the bedroom floor and the bed vibrated. In the early hours of the morning (after 3 a.m.) the bed would vibrate, making it harder to get bac to sleep.
