Great staff and clean resort. Pool was amazing.

The rooms and property was nice amd clean BUT THE POOL & HOT TUB was not working and the water in the hot tub was brown and the pool had a film over the water. It smelled awful. They finally put up an out of order sign when I complained. I went there because of the indoor pool and hot tub for 3 nights but was sadly disappointed. Three couples together expecting to use the pool and hot tub: but it was so out of order.

Pool area was closed which is why I booked here for 3 nights. Didn't even stay 2 full nights. Want a refund for third night

Elevator was broken, window had a huge crack, burn marks on the soap tray, overpowering odor-masking smell

We booked this hotel because of the indoor pool. The second we walked in, we were told the pool was closed for renovations along with the fitness center. This put a damper on the whole trip.

Check in was easy and staff was nice. Breakfast was “ok”. Fresh fruit, like apples and bananas would be great: Fitness center needs a lot of attention. No air conditioning made for extremely hot conditions. The treadmill stops working in mid strides, which could lead to an accident. The weight machine is rusted and hard to see numbers. Even though we had a do not disturb sign on our door, cleaning service staff knocked and asked for our used towels.

It was cheap so I didn’t expect much. The free breakfast was typical hotel food. The indoor pool was clean but freezing. The elevator was slow. The walls everywhere were unclean, you could see grime and handprints. I think it is the paint type. The bed frames were like broke so the bed was lumpy and tilting and low to the floor. Wasn’t a bad stay but it is priced well for the quality of hotel.

Restaurants are close by. Area seems quiet. Pool & spa area was great.

The pool was out of commission alongwith the bar but everything thing else was outstanding.

I was greeted by the front desk clerk upon entering the lobby. He was very friendly & efficient with the check-in process. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The only negative is that our hallway smelled very musty which was a turn off but at least the room didn't smell that way. I'd stay here again.

This hotel deserves higher than a 5! It was one of cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at! The staff was helpful and friendly. It was extremely quiet and well maintained! It was also conveniently located to a variety of restaurants. We will definitely make this a stop again in the future!

black mold around vents in bathroom

Normally we stay here every year. But this year our room was not up to par. There was mold around the light socket, and you could see the water inside of the alarm on the wall. We had asked the front desk to swap room and they only had kings available. You would think that they would have house keeping come up and clean the mold, but they didn't we had to ask for a spray bottle to clean it. Then the fire alarm went off at 3am and you couldn't hear it from our room. You could only see the flashing light from the bathroom.

Was not there for an hour upon my arrival. The sheets were dirty. Was moved to a different room that had debris all over the bed and pile of trash on the floor.

That night was our first night out in nearly 2 years. We chose your Wingate by Wyndham to celebrate because it's listed as a 3 star hotel. I deeply regret that decision. After our phone in the room didn't work I went downstairs to ask for the pillows I needed. He didn't react as if that was something that you fix here but told me he would get me the pillows. I went back up to shower before we went out and the towels were dirty. There was also hair in the shower and the and the sink. The dresser has a drawer that we had to wedge closed because it just kept opening up on its own while we were trying to get ready to leave and I didn't want to get clipped by it. This entire room is damp and has an odor. The bed linen feels damp also. And all of that was bad enough but then we met the little insects that have apparently booked our room as well and are staying with us. This room is not priced reflecting the roaches. The carpet is sticky, maybe because of the extreme humidity in there. This is outrageous, I would never have paid what I did for this room if I had known what I was getting into. I feel like I've been tricked and I truly did not expect that from the Wyndham brand. This is highly unacceptable. I can be reached at the email below to resolve this situation. Bad mildew smell in room

Very dirty place! This is my second attempt at this hotel. I figured it was in a different state so maybe it would be nicer. The bed skirt had a huge rip in it and the place smelt of weed. The walls were covered in filth. For being as expensive as it was, you would think it would be nicer! Will never stay at one of these again!

I had spiders & roaches in my room

Needs more light in room. Room has a weird stuffy smell but was clean. Breakfast was very limited. Overall would stay again but not with more than 4 people in a room. The rooms are not setup to sleep 5 people but Expedia showed it would sleep 5.

The overall stay was ok but could have been better! The tub didn’t drain properly and I was disturbed several times by the occupants next door. Walls thin! I was able to hear the toilet flush as if I was in the room!

The walls in the hotel are paper thin so unfortunately you will hear all the hallway and noise from other guests. There was a basketball team staying in the rooms on my floor and they were so loud I couldn’t get any sleep. I called the front desk to complain but there was really nothing they could do about it. I would not recommend.

This hotel has obviously hit hard times. This is our third year there and we won’t be back. Breakfast was sad, WIFI was extremely slow, the hot water for tea was lukewarm three days in a row, the hotel had NO soap. One day they took all the towels and left none. They have bulk shampoo and conditioner in the tub (no body wash) that the housekeeper said they don’t refill anymore - and ours was empty. Why are they still there? Also, they send you a text asking if everything was ok, but when you respond they don’t answer. There are at least three other suite style hotels within 5 miles. We will be searching for a new one.

Booked a suite room for extra space. Unfortunately all the suites are next to the elevator shafts so continuous noise all night It was miserable and the staff did not have a room any available rooms!!!

The hotel wasn't busy so it was quiet. We stayed here 2 Sundays in a row on our way to and from our trip destination. Slidell is our halfway point on the trip. Both times the hotel was clean, quiet, reasonably priced, had comfy beds and very friendly staff. The only complaint I have for both stays is the musty smell. The first time it was in the hallway (3rd floor). The 2nd stay it was in our room on the 4th floor. I think all of the carpets could use a good cleaning and that would probably help. We'll stay here again the next time we're in the area.

The room was an average hotel room with clean beds, a functional tv, a cigarette burn in the rug and your standard bathroom stains. Unfortunately the pool was not functional and we weren’t informed until we came down to use it after checking in and had to disappoint our kids that it was closed. The staff story changed a few times, first saying that it had to be cleaned after a rowdy weekend, but it’d be ready in the morning. The following morning they had found glass in the pool and had to continue running maintenance for safety. That’s the right call, but staff was unapologetic and did not offer any other solutions. We were referred to the GM who still wasn’t able to resolve the issue, and was blunt about her inability to do anything else for us. It’s too bad - a decent hotel was tainted by a series of miserable interactions and deficit of listed amenities.

I like where the Hotel is located by restaurants, stores and off the highways. My dislike was the service when I came to check-in. There was nobody to be found. I had to wait well over 20 minutes.

Wingate people was nice courteous and very helpful. I always stay there again.

The manager was exceptional! I truly adored her personality and attentiveness. This hotel will certainly be my preferred choice when traveling for business!

Was locked out room for hours and staff had no urgency about fixing the issue. We missed parts of our vacation because of this.

The property itself was fine except the continental breakfast was really bad with very few choices and the staff didn’t keep it stocked. The main problem was a snarky young lady at check in named Cal who gave us a hard time about my son who has Tourette’s and ADD/anxiety a hard time about his ESA dog. She was rude and ignorant of the laws regarding ESS animals. It got worse though. The second night of our stay a guy by the name of Mike actually yelled and cursed at our son after my son told him she was an ESA pet and had been taken care of at check in. He chased our son to the room because my son wouldn’t tell him any other information to get our room number while yelling you’re not going to f****** get away with it because I’m going to put a $250 pet fee on your bill. We will be filing complaints with HUD and the BBB so they can be esucated on the laws and this won’t happen again. We filed a complaint with Wingate corporate and they indicated they would call us back and never did. Buyer beware!!

When I first arrived we couldn’t check in because internet was down. Clerk told me to go down the street to Red Roof Inn. I informed him that I had already paid for three nights here and had no intention on paying again somewhere else. He then said I could probably get a refund if I came back in the morning. I offered to show my receipt and confirmation. He declined. I asked him to call a manager. He said he called and the manager said that there was nothing they could do. After a while another employee came and said he could check us in on his phone. We finally got in right before midnight! The room was ok. Housekeeping never came during our stay. Trash running over in the room. I had to ask a housekeeper on the hall for toilet paper and towels. The air conditioner in the room would not keep the room cool. I definitely do not recommend. Would not book again

First room they gave us was already occupied. Desk clerk was unsure what to do and told us that was our room and no one should be in it. After going to check for herself, finally called her manager to see what to do. Finally got a room after about 1/2 hour.

The lady that worked at the front desk used a pass key to enter our room while we were in the room. I had just gotten my disabled son dressed minutes before she entered the room. Did not knock just came in and didn’t even apologize. It really freaked me out. Will not stay there again. This was in Slidel, La.

I liked that it was easy to get to off the interstate and it is a short drive into New Orleans. I don't feel safe in New Orleans so this area was perfect!

Plenty of nearby places to eat and shop in walking distance.

I stay at this Wingate when I have a procedure at Ochsners, right next door. Staff is pleasant and helpful.

It was a good, clean stay. No complaints. A nice , clean room. The hotel is in center of plenty to do. Lots of restaurants in the area to enjoy.

Location was convenient for event in Slidell, La

we stayed here for the ERAS Tour and it was great. Easy access to the interstate to get to the Super Dome and much cheaper than any room in the city.

Check in was easy, since I booked the hotel room through Hotels.com. The room was clean except the bathroom floor. It was waxy and our shoes slipped. I cleaned the floor myself with soap and water and that helped. We had ask the front desk to ask housekeeping for anything extra, like clean towels, extra kleenex and trash bags. Since Covid, I guess that is the way now. Breakfast was decent. It's nice it came with our hotel price. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our stay was quiet and the area was secluded enough for that reason. There are a lot of restaurants around. We would stay again if we ever came back.

The only thing bad I will say is the breakfast offered was horrible. Make you own waffle tasted like rubber. The butter was 48% vegetable oil. The sausage link was ready cooked and then microwaved (was cool and not browned) No crispy bacon. The coffee was okay, but real half and half and sugar in the raw would have made it so much better. Perhaps don't offer breakfast if its not edible.

Noisy plumbing in room bathroom. Weekend crew failed to leave enough continental breakfast for week day crew. Breakfast was extremely limited.

Whole place smelled of smoke and citrus cleaner trying to hide the smoke. Breakfast was horrible. Powdered eggs and burnt sausage patties. No fresh fruit, dairy was not cold, juice was very watery.

We stayed at this property with our 2 children. The hotel was clean, staff was kind and helpful and we enjoyed the pool/hottub. My only (very small) complaint is they ran out of several of their breakfast items while we were there (unfortunately my kids' favorites). However, I was very impressed with their breakfast options!

It was clean, check in and out was fast, we actually had all the towels for four people and the complimentary breakfast was great. We have paid more elsewere and didnt have it as good as we did here. Thank you!

All was good. Breakfast was not so good, but other than that, all good.
