Obviously everything in the Cinque Terra is on a slope. Our room was separate from the main hotel location and at the top of the village but ideal for those arriving by car as the village car park is close by. Those not liking a hill and arriving by train should make sure that they are in the main location in the lower town. Access to reception was via a private chat. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. The bed was big. We also had access to a nice terrace which we shared with two other rooms. All in all a good place to stay.

We had such a lovely time in Manarola, it was our favorite part of our whole Italy trip by far! The staff was very accommodating and stayed past the start of her lunch break to make sure we could place our bags there before our pesto making experience. She also recommended eating dinner at Trattoria dal Billy which was the “best place to eat” in Manarola and it did not disappoint. The view from our balcony wasn’t great, but we didn’t spend much time in the room and there are plenty of other scenic overlooks throughout the town. Highly recommend staying here

We walked out of the train tunnel, turned right and walked a little way up the hill and then cut back up to the right to find the 5 Terre Palagos office. Loris greeted us and help d us buy Park passes, set up a sunset boat ride, and then walked with us up to the Palagos 1 property up the hill. This property is away from crowds and was quiet with doors and windows closed. There is a cute patio area with views of the terraced mountain. It was right next to a delicious and very romantic foccacaria. The room was serviced daily while we were out and had coffee and light breakfast snacks replenished daily. I loved being in a place further away from the tourists. It was not too bad going up the hill and flights of stairs because we always pack light. It was cozy and clean.

The host and hotel were amazing! The host greeted us the reception and gave us a detailed explanation of the accommodation as well as all the attractions and tips in Manarola. The room was very spacious and really nicely decorated, and it had all the necessary amenities and more. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Cinque Terre area.
