Rent ja , personalen är ok , luftkonditioneringen är ok. Men att de låste trädgården kl 11 och det inte finns någonstans att ta en cigarett förutom på gatan , så man måste ta sig ut på gatan och stå utanför på gatan är väldigt dumt och det kan även vara farligt i vissa kvarter här i Catania.

Loved the artwork on the property, friendly staff checked me in and made me feel welcome in Catania right away, it was my first time visiting so they recommended me some good things to do such as visit mount Etna. I wouldn't mind staying here again, social area met some cool people from all around the world. All in all this was a positive experience (:

Purtroppo adesso la zona è diventata area pedonale urbana e quindi nn è possibile parcheggiare nella strada adiacente e quindi occorre andare a cercarsi un parcheggio, che nel fine settimana, trattandosi di zona centrale, diventa un' impresa

El alojamiento era cómodo, estaba limpio y nos atendieron muy bien, pero en las características ponía que había opción de parking por 10€ más y que hablaban varios idiomas, entre ellos español, y no era verdad en ninguno de los dos casos. Habíamos elegido el alojamiento solo por eso y nos encontramos buscando un parking por Catania a las 22:00. La puerta del baño de nuestra habitación no cerraba.

El alojamiento era cómodo, estaba limpio y nos atendieron muy bien, pero en las características ponía que había opción de parking por 10€ más y que hablaban varios idiomas, entre ellos español, y no era verdad en ninguno de los dos casos. Habíamos elegido el alojamiento solo por eso y nos encontramos buscando un parking por Catania a las 22:00. La puerta del baño de nuestra habitación no cerraba.

Well the good points first: I see they do make regular efforts to keep the place clean there are cool art installations on all the walls the location is very central The downsides: (buckle in) it’s extremely claustrophobic, it’s hard to even navigate between the bunks without sticking your knee in your neighbour’s face. I’m not all that big but I couldn’t sit in the bottom bunk without hitting my head, & there wasn’t space for everyone’s things to go. The kitchen/ small common room area hours are pretty limiting. And one whole day staff were overhauling the space, with stuff absolutely everywhere and were painting the chairs- so the space couldn’t be used even in opening hours to grab a quick bite. *Some of my food was stolen The street sounds of bars and traffic are SUPER loud at night WORST of all: One of the guests in our room had a medical emergency in the middle of the night while he was sleeping. Luckily others noticed and together managed to call an ambulance and get him medical attention….so it was very fortunate everyone collectively had the skills, maturity, and language abilities to deal with the situation. But what completely shocked me is that there is NO NIGHT TIME STAFF- (not even an on-call emergency phone number listed anywhere) to get ahold of any staff in an extreme situation like this!!!! (And I was looking everywhere). We just dealt with the situation ourselves and tried to go back to sleep after the paramedics left. Incredible lack of care.

I like everything! Location, kitchen is well stocked, love their colours and paintings throughout but especially in my room. Natalia is super helpful as are the rest of the staff. Often hard to find a place that doesn't reek of strong cleaning products. This place ticks all the boxes!

Last night when we checked in, I specifically asked the front desk staff if there were bed bugs, as I had seen many negative reviews mentioning them. The staff assured me that there was no need to worry, saying that it was a summer issue and that they had cleaned thoroughly, so there were no more bed bugs. To my surprise, that night I was bitten by bed bugs all over my body, causing severe itching that was unbearable and left me unable to sleep. It’s already October, and the fact that there are still bed bugs is simply unbelievable! Moreover, we didn’t have a blanket, only a very thin sheet, and it was unexpectedly cold at night. The next day, after we checked out, we wanted to use the restroom, but the cleaning staff was quite impatient. In conclusion, we will never come back to this place. In the future, we definitely won’t compromise on accommodations just to save money and end up in a hotel like this. (The front desk staff was polite, but the cleaning staff had just finished cleaning and, after learning that we had checked out, said we couldn’t use the restroom. We asked to use it, and she reluctantly agreed, showing impatience.) Additionally, we had to pay an extra €2.5 to store our luggage until 3 p.m., which is understandable, although most hotels offer this service for free.

Det var et gammelt beskidt rum. Og der er så meget larm og støj at det var umuligt at sove om natten. Der var aktive væglus i vores seng, når vi rejste os fra den. Beliggenheden er rigtig god i forhold til centrum men det er ikke et sted vi kan anbefale.

Je me suis fait piquer par pleins de punaise de lits et dans ce hostel c’est un problème répétitif. Le responsable m’a proposé de revenir a mon lit infecté par des punaises et donc j’ai passé une nuit blanche dehors.

Place is ok, stuff od cery nice! Matrace can kill you during one night. Its like you sleep in nest. Its impossible 😭 But the worst the loud. No privacy at all! Sounds like somebody peeing in your room at night. Sleeping and your hostel impossible to connect. Its 3 just for place near center and cleaning. Level of noise its -1

It is the worst hostel I’ve ever been to. Rooms don’t look like on photo from ad. My room was on first floor, totally disaster. I couldn’t stand straight because of the sloping ceiling, small and dirty. I could hear everything that was going on in the corridor and other rooms (even someone snoring). Bathroom shared, low standard and again not clean. Check in is only till midnight and because my flight was delayed I had to pay for a late check in 10€. The receptionist ask for pay, quickly showed me a room, and left. Didn’t even informed where bathroom was. After one night, or actually few hours I change hotel for Efesto B&B and I was glad I did it. If you’re planning to stay there ask for a room on ground floor, it might be better.

We booked this private room for one night as was cheaper to stay closer to the airport, than to use an airport shuttle service from our original location. We weren’t expecting much due to the cheap nature of the space, but basic and clean accommodation should be minimum. The bed itself was extremely uncomfortable, we could not use the thick pillows. There was grime all over the floor, we actually wore shoes inside after I noticed my white socks becoming discoloured wearing inside. The window was broken and could not be closed properly so all the noise from outside at night came into our room. There were people slamming doors and talking for hours at night outside our window/in the hostel. The hostel is located in a dodgy looking area. Would be suitable for very young travellers who are not intending to sleep much…

First of all, the number to the property that is given in the app doesn’t work. The after we came to the hostel we were told that despite the fact that they accepted our reservation and on Expedia wrote that the room is suitable for 4 people, they don’t have place for us. They send us to the other hostel, which was far away from city center, the room had such a low ceiling that we all had to walk around it bending down.

Loved the artwork on the property, friendly staff checked me in and made me feel welcome in Catania right away, it was my first time visiting so they recommended me some good things to do such as visit mount Etna. I wouldn't mind staying here again, social area met some cool people from all around the world. All in all this was a positive experience (:

Nous avons passé une nuit horrible. La chambre était au Rez de chaussé autant vous dire que l’on aurait dormi dehors cela aurait été la même chose tellement le bruit était présent. Il n y a aucun double vitrage. Nous avons vu un cafard dans la salle de bain. Le lit supplémentaire n’avait pas de matelas mais un simple sur matelas. De plus on nous a facturé 10€ de plus car soit disant nous sommes arrives tard (22h30).

Well the good points first: I see they do make regular efforts to keep the place clean there are cool art installations on all the walls the location is very central The downsides: (buckle in) it’s extremely claustrophobic, it’s hard to even navigate between the bunks without sticking your knee in your neighbour’s face. I’m not all that big but I couldn’t sit in the bottom bunk without hitting my head, & there wasn’t space for everyone’s things to go. The kitchen/ small common room area hours are pretty limiting. And one whole day staff were overhauling the space, with stuff absolutely everywhere and were painting the chairs- so the space couldn’t be used even in opening hours to grab a quick bite. *Some of my food was stolen The street sounds of bars and traffic are SUPER loud at night WORST of all: One of the guests in our room had a medical emergency in the middle of the night while he was sleeping. Luckily others noticed and together managed to call an ambulance and get him medical attention….so it was very fortunate everyone collectively had the skills, maturity, and language abilities to deal with the situation. The receptionist ladies are very, very nice, but I only gave 3 stars in the staff category because this hostel has the worst cleaning person I have ever met out of over 100 hostels I have stayed in. One time she yelled and screamed at me, I would not feel bad if she just peacefully talked to me. Another time, while another lady guest and I were having breakfast in the kitchen, this cleaning lady complained: the stove needs to be cleaned, the toastor needs to be cleaned, then she repeated the same words while looking at the other lady guest, and then she repeated again while looking at me. Actually we didn't cook, we just warmed up some leftover food, the stove and toaster were in the same condition as when checked in (not very clean), the cleaning staff should have cleaned them, but she asked us to clean up. Before I met this cleaning lady, I told the receptionist lady that I would come back in 8 days before I fly away from Catania. Since I don't want to see this cleaning lady again, I didn't go back to this hostel. She really should learn some hospitality from the receptionist ladies.

I like everything! Location, kitchen is well stocked, love their colours and paintings throughout but especially in my room. Natalia is super helpful as are the rest of the staff. Often hard to find a place that doesn't reek of strong cleaning products. This place ticks all the boxes!

Petit hôtel bien positionné à deux pas du centre historique. Chambre petite sans chichi. Bon séjour dans l’ensemble après si vous êtes sensible au bruit je ne recommande pas, les murs, les portes et les fenêtres laissent passer tous les bruits, au point d’avoir l’impression que même une fois fermés, vous êtes en présence de tout le monde dans l’établissement. Niveau hygiène c’est très moyen dans la salle de bain, il ne faut vraiment pas être regardant. Au vu de l’emplacement de l’hôtel et des petits prix (comparativement aux autres hôtels dans le coin), si vous ne cherchez qu’un lieu pour dormir cela vous suffira amplement et vous aurez un peu plus d’argent pour d’autres activités sur place. Si vous recherchez un standing plus élevé, passez votre chemin.

La location è davvero bella per non parlare della posizione strategica nel cuore pulsante della città! La camera che ho scelto si affaccia direttamente su una delle piazze più belle in cui è possibile ammirare lo storico e affascinante Castello Ursino di origine normanna. Il personale gentile e disponibile ma soprattutto cordiali e simpatici tutti! Ambiente pulito e ben curato! Soprattutto le aree comuni come la cucina il cortile dove potersi rilassare. Lo consiglio vivamente!

It is a nice spot, especially traveling alone. Very inexpensive dormitory accommodations. Staff and guests were friendly and relaxed, and common areas are pleasant. The area around is excellent, near a cooperative bookstore and wine bar and the excellent museum at Castillo Ursino. Very congenial—not much privacy and no frills lodgings, but a good experience.

Nightmare hotel! No working ac at all just blows got air in the room around. I spent the night sleeping in the small shower so I could turn on child water every 15min. Extremely noisy street like a cars engine is revving inches from your ear. Late check in and manager leaves at night. After he left so many people came in to the room next to mine. Loud in the common area followed by crying babies all night long. Not one ounce of rest here.

Where to start? - The bathrooms were not up to scratch. The showers flooded incredibly quickly, the sink taps were broken in one of the bathrooms, and in the other bathroom the toilet was blocked. - The room was dirty and there was dust and hairs in the drawers - At check out time, no one is available at reception and the cleaning staff that were around were rude and unhelpful. They tried to rush us out our room before check out time. - On the up side, the place is in a good location.

The facilities are very good, the rooms and bathrooms are nice. There's air conditioning, sheets, and pillowcases, but the service is brusque and rude. You can't use anything, not even the bathroom, before check-in at 1:30 PM or after check-out at 10:30 AM. I'd even say they're ill-mannered. I only returned to check in after 6:30 PM when it was a different person than the one who had rudely attended to me in the morning. But also in the same tone, they replied that I couldn't use anything after check-out when I asked if I could shower. It was quite curious to reply not rudely and then jokingly say that showering was allowed before 10:30 AM. It wasn't even 10:30 AM yet, and when I arrived at the room, my things had already been removed from the bed to change the sheets. I complained that my time using the space wasn't up yet, and the person was rude. I complained because it was more than 5 minutes before 10:30 and I put my things back on the bed. She didn't like it and kept arguing. It seems she doesn't understand the guest's needs and doesn't respect them. Furthermore, I must mention that on the night of 2026-09-04 while using the kitchen, I noticed a cockroach on the stove. I called the receptionist and asked her to look at it. She saw it and gave me some leaves to kill the insect. She said she would inform her boss. But in the morning, nothing was explained to me, nor was there any apology.
