Very friendly man at the front desk. Check in was quick. Very few parking spots so get there early. Right on the Main Street, so can be a little noisy but not too bad. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was muffins, cereal, and coffee.

We stayed one night and would absolutely return. We stayed in room #141, top floor King. The bed was SO comfortable and the A/C keep the room nice and comfortable. The parking could be a bit tricky for larger vehicles, but we were able to manage. The best part of our stay...the Owner/Opporator was so nice and helpful! You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his property. Clean, comfortable and convenient. Definitely would stay again!

This was a nice place to stay and the staff was friendly and attentive. The room had everything I needed, was centrally located, and I could park right next to my room. As others have mentioned, the good people of Elko have an infatuation with loud mufflers or perhaps their is a rule prohibiting catalytic converters. Clearly, the police are not enforcing noise ordinances, assuming there are any. I have never heard anything like it, but I carry earplugs so no big deal. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was an older hotel but was updated nicely. It was very clean and quiet. The carpet looked new. The manager, Bob, was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge had a very nice size freezer for a small fridge. It was a great value. I will definitely stay again.

Both night and day time staff were friendly and accommodating. The TV didn't work and when I wanted to call down to the front desk staff, the phone didn't work, either. In fact, there was no cord attached to it at all!! The room was clean, the bed was perfectly comfortable, and I loved the great lighting in the bathroom. Most hotels lack in their lighting.

Staff was friendly and everything was very clean. The road noise is pretty bad because of the location being right at a stoplight. Even with white noise playing on my phone to try to cover it, the road noise kept me awake half the night.

The room and property were tastefully decorated and spotless. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is great for walking around downtown and restaurant selections are wide. The breakfast was simple but covered all the bases. The Esquire is an economical gem!

Extremely clean, comfortably furnished, locally owned motel in Historic Downtown Elko. Really appreciated that there were plenty of ports to charge all our devices. Great location for walking and exploring, several locally owned restaurants nearby. The two restaurants we tried were excellent. Really enjoyed our stay!

First I was greeted with a friendly smile. So easy to check in. The room was quaint, very clean and the bed was so comfy. After about 12 to 13 hours of driving, this place was exactly what we needed. It is an older place but it is obviously put together we love. Thank you very much for the much needed rest. Last, checked out with that very warm smile. This will be our stop for now on, traveling through Elco. Oh and extremely reasonable rate!

We selected Esquire Inn because of its many positive reviews — and it didn't disappoint. This is a really solid motel option operated by a very friendly and helpful family. While not luxurious, our reasonably priced room had been updated fairly recently and had everything you would expect from a hotel. The owner who greeted us was a delight. We heard some traffic noise at night from Idaho Street, but the location is also very convenient — less than a block from an outstanding coffee place (Cowboy Joe's) and a number of very good restaurant options.

My wife and I really like the Esquire Inn as a well priced, clean and comfortable lodging when we drive across Nevada to visit family in Utah. The beds are very comfortable which is unusual in many motels we have tried elsewhere.

Older style motel but very clean with new carpet an tile in the bathroom. As others have said you experience street noise. Owners/managers are very friendly and accommodating. Parking is tight. Great place to stay when passing through town. I understand but didn’t like the “threatening” sign by the towels. If used for dirty hands or makeup you will be charged. No other cleaning options (like paper or darker hand towel) available.

I felt like I was back in the 70’s. Wish they had separate hair conditioner instead of shampoo/conditioner all in one. Didn’t even consider the breakfast snacks they offer. Went across the street for a latte at Cowboy Cafe and there was a breakfast place next door. It was a fairly reasonable and decent place to stop for the night. Nothing fancy but kind of fun bringing back memories of the 70’s.

Super friendly family run property. Although this is an older property the owners have put a lot of effort into updating the rooms. Room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was recently retiled with a great shower. I wasn't expecting breakfast, but indeed there was a simple continental breakfast provided at the front desk. Excellent value, and great people!

Check-in was very efficient and friendly. We asked for a room on the ground floor and was given one right away. Staff was so friendly, you felt like you were visiting a friend. The room was very clean and decorated very nice. Parking was available very close to our room. Would stay here again when passing thru.

Great little property. Driving through on I-80. Called re: late arrival. No problem. Pleasant man on phone. Pleasant woman at checkin. Very cute, clean, comfortable. Seems to be in walkable downtown area with nearby restaurants, but I’ll be getting back on the road early. If you are looking for the basics, this is a great value! Great find!

We selected Esquire Inn because of its many positive reviews — and it didn't disappoint. This is a really solid motel option operated by a very friendly and helpful family. While not luxurious, our reasonably priced room had been updated fairly recently and had everything you would expect from a hotel. The owner who greeted us was a delight. We heard some traffic noise at night from Idaho Street, but the location is also very convenient — less than a block from an outstanding coffee place (Cowboy Joe's) and a number of very good restaurant options.

The positives: clean, well-maintained, inexpensive, in-town location walkable to main destinations in central Elko. The main negative is, being on the Business Loop of I-80, traffic is audible at all hours. Earplugs recommended. Also, the bath soap is remarkably unsudsy. I would bring my own.

Great little property. Driving through on I-80. Called re: late arrival. No problem. Pleasant man on phone. Pleasant woman at checkin. Very cute, clean, comfortable. Seems to be in walkable downtown area with nearby restaurants, but I’ll be getting back on the road early. If you are looking for the basics, this is a great value! Great find!

Extremely clean, comfortably furnished, locally owned motel in Historic Downtown Elko. Really appreciated that there were plenty of ports to charge all our devices. Great location for walking and exploring, several locally owned restaurants nearby. The two restaurants we tried were excellent. Really enjoyed our stay!

Super friendly family run property. Although this is an older property the owners have put a lot of effort into updating the rooms. Room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was recently retiled with a great shower. I wasn't expecting breakfast, but indeed there was a simple continental breakfast provided at the front desk. Excellent value, and great people!

Esquire inn had everything we needed. We have stayed in other hotels in the area with lesser results. It was clean enough for our quick overnight stay. However the breakfast was cereal out of a dispenser or mini muffin, not quite continental. Overall would stay in a pinch

We like the room we had. Plenty of parking, a light breakfast fruit, cereal, milk, juice tea and coffee. Bed was comfortable. Close to everything we needed to go. Booking the same room for next year.

Very friendly man at the front desk. Check in was quick. Very few parking spots so get there early. Right on the Main Street, so can be a little noisy but not too bad. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was muffins, cereal, and coffee.

Clean hotel room just as pictured. Quiet except we had the room under the stairs and the stairs and people in the room directly above us were very much heard. I was charged $5.00 more for the room than was quoted from the Hotel App reservation but because it was only $5 I didn’t mention it. Breakfast was strictly bananas, apples, cold cereal, bite size muffins and yogurt. Coffee was also served. Would stay again because it is hard to find a good clean room for around $100.

The building is old but was nicely remodel and clean. The main negative was the breakfast which consisted of 1 only 4 oz activa, one small bowl of dry cereal or instead oatmeal and one mini muffin. Motel would be 100% better off not advertising free breakfast.

We were just pasing thru and needed a place to sleep for the night. We reserved and got there really late. The front desk person was so kind, helpful, and accommodating! Her customer service was above and beyond. The hotel is older, but kept very clean. The bathroom looked like it had been updated. The bed was king sized which is always a plus. The sheets and blankets smell clean and the pillows were soft!

Been staying here for years—always VERY CLEAN, everything you need. Small rooms but totally adequate with fridges and microwaves. We find the beds comfortable and the aircon totally great in summer, and the heat perfect in winter. Staff has always been exceptional—friendly, totally helpful—and Christina who helped us was just fantastic, and solved an error I made in the reservation. Walkable to a great coffeehouse (Cowboy Joe), walkable to a great Chinese Restaurant (Chef Cheng) and one of the best Basque restaurants in the country (Star Hotel). For more than 10 years, this place has been our Elko “digs” and we go through 2-6 times a year, always spending a night.

I stayed here as part of a longer road trip. I feel like they were teaching a new staff member how to do things. I realized they had forgotten to give me my driver's license back, but luckily, I realized this before leaving town. They were very accommodating to requests but could have done a little better on sending me the information about the room number. The area around the property is nice. There was a somewhat loud party at a nearby bar but the loud music stopped by the time we were getting to bed. If we had more time to explore the downtown area, the hotel would have been a great spot to do that from.
