This was a basic drive up lodge style hotel. It was very basic, but did have nearby access to a Main Street with shopping, restaurants and even live music. Nothing fancy. Just a basic room.

We did not know it was a motel. The pictures online showed a hotel. We were given a room in between a staff occupied “office” and the laundry room. The outside light shined inside our bedroom. People walked in and out of the “office” until after 11pm. Since it was a motel, traffic was very loud. I never would have booked the room if I had known it was a motel.

The room was perfect. I enjoyed my stay so much. I drove the 10 min drive out to Centerville Beach. It was wonderful. Check in was easy and complementary breakfast was great. Plenty of parking and friendly helpful staff. Ferndale itself is a wonderful victorian town with quaint shops and resturants. I give it a 5 star review!

Hotel was over priced. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was expecting a really nice victorian room, instead got a park at the door suite that had a very musty smell. After leaving windows open and lots of fabreeze it was tolerable. Nothing going on in downtown Ferndale. Limited dining no entertainment.

Arrives late after registration. Desk was closed, it’s a tiny little town, so they close at 8 PM. We had been caught up in San Francisco traffic and arrived at 8:10. But they were gracious enough to leave our rooms unlocked and our keys inside so we could Check in. My heater wasn’t working so they had to move me into another room. Which I appreciated. however, there was black mold, growing in the shower, where a leak onto the drywall made the paint peel and grow mold. So. Gross. I let the owners know and unfortunately they didn’t seem to think they needed to compensate me in any small way. I will not stay here again.

Had a later check in then originally expected. Manager made it convenient for us and even made accommodations for an extra bed at the last minute. Couldn’t have had a more perfect check in. The continental breakfast was very enjoyable, thank you . We fell in love with the historical town of Ferndale !

The best part of this location is its proximity to town. That is true for every place in town, though, since the area is so small. The continental breakfast at the Victorian Inn was a nice set up with quite a few choices. We had lunch on Main Street at a Es Tuyas. Their fish tacos were very good.

Ferndale is a nice town. Walkable with friendly people. My neighbors were a doe and two fawns. Also of note is that the hotel is but one block away from a fantastic drive through the mountains to the Pacific coast. I'd stay again in a minute.

We had a nice relaxing stay at Redwood Suites and enjoyed the great location which was quiet and yet close to downtown with lots of interesting shops to explore. A nice breakfast with great coffee was included and available as the sister hotel just down the street. Jenny was fabulous and a great conversationalist. She deserves a raise!

We had a nice relaxing stay at Redwood Suites and enjoyed the great location which was quiet and yet close to downtown with lots of interesting shops to explore. A nice breakfast with great coffee was included and available as the sister hotel just down the street. Jenny was fabulous and a great conversationalist. She deserves a raise!

The room was perfect. I enjoyed my stay so much. I drove the 10 min drive out to Centerville Beach. It was wonderful. Check in was easy and complementary breakfast was great. Plenty of parking and friendly helpful staff. Ferndale itself is a wonderful victorian town with quaint shops and resturants. I give it a 5 star review!

We loved the homey feel and comfort of our stay in this one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. It was close to everything we wanted to see in town. Check in was easy and welcoming at the Victorian Inn a short block away, and we could park in front of our room. The water temperature in the shower fluctuated between very hot and cold and overall the property is dated, but it was clean, comfortable, and we'd return, especially if the price is better.

Our Room was clean and tidy. I liked that we could park in front of the unit. I didn't see the email that explained the registration was 1/2 bock down at the Victorian Inn, but there was a sign in the parking lot that said where to go. This was a nice place to stay and was more affordable than lots of places in Ferndale. I also really liked the continental breakfast at the Victorian Inn, which is included. Great muffins, hard-boiled eggs, juice, excellent coffee! The new trainee at the front desk was a lovely lady. I would stay there again.

This place is all about location. The experience in a 2-room suite was like staying at the home of an elderly relative who hasn’t updated their furnishings since the 70s. The rooms were spacious but a bit musty and quite worn. But it’s half a block to the main street so overall it’s a good choice if you don’t mind the thin walls and shag carpeting.
