Ice maker was broken and reception did not really care when mentioned to them. Water pressure in the shower was very weak

The rooms are really cute with a cabin vibe. The front desk lady at check in was really sweet, and the guy at check out was nice. The breakfast is super basic but complimentary so can’t argue that. Muffins, fruit, cereal, bagels and coffee. The fire pit area was my favorite and a nice surprise. The rooms are clean and have all you need. Fridge, coffee maker, closet space, etc. there’s a microwave in the lobby. Location is just 6 mins from citu center. No frills hotel, which is what i was looking for.

I really enjoyed my stay at Reid Ridge. The only draw back ice machine was broken but holiday weekend so it was hard to get repair person. Rooms and area very clean. Staff very friendly. We will stay again.

The room and bathroom were clean. We stayed on a Monday night and the Lodge was not busy or noisy. The ice machine was filled to the brim! :) There is a nice firepit area outside with plenty of seating (although we did not opt to pay for wood and have a fire). Only a couple of downsides: The 'continental breakfast' was nothing to write home about - the fruit was not fresh. The indoor pool was not usable (no water). Overall, we would probably stay here again if we were in the area.

This is an older hotel with no elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Basic hotel room.

A beautiful lodge, but poorly maintained. Needs a good vacuuming & thorough cleaning. My daughter had to clean our bathrooms before we used them, & my son-in-law had to unstop the sink. The shower curtain had mold along the bottom. The swimming pool has not worked in years according to the desk clerk.

What a delightful stay! This hotel is hands down the quietest and cleanest I’ve experienced in ages. It was truly worth every penny! The only tiny hiccup was the absence of a microwave in the room, but that didn’t dampen my experience at all. Overall, I'm thrilled to give it five stars! 🎉🌟

This place was not bad. It was definitely very cabin-y feeling. First floor hallway was very dimly lit. Breakfast options limited. Ice machine and scoop was convenient. Outdoor fire pit area was nice. No pool. If staff dusted baseboards and put in a little more attention to detail it would be perfect.

Place itself was nice. Bathroom toilet on arrival was filthy. Showerhead had mold on it. Corners of room needed better cleaning. You get what you pay for. I would not stay again. Place itself looks nice but if toilet was omitted during cleaning, what else was. Dirty bathroom is a deal breaker for me. Room looked nice but I couldn’t get over that first impression

Room smelled musty. Facet handle constantly falling off. Doors opening and creeping. My allergies were on fire in that room. Dirty carpet. Stained towels. I will never stay there again.

Walls and ceiling are so thin you can hear other guests clearly enough to make out the entire conversation whether they are in the hall, above you or next door. We actually heard another guest talking about the “paper thin walls” to someone who was at the building for the first time upon our visit. Heating/ac unit extremely dusty - looks like insulation or drywall debris had fallen into the grate and never got cleaned or vacuumed out. Moldy shower curtain, moldy shower bar, leaking p trap under the hand sink with dried dirty leak on floor. Shower drain and hand sink drain obviously dirty - no one could possibly be wiping them out between visitors or they wouldn’t have the buildup on them. Door had been damaged by someone trying to get in so now the gap is so big you could pick the latch with any key card or credit card and clearly see light and movement in our room from the hall side. Housekeeping walked in at 10am without knocking. We stay a lot of places from a very low price point to the very highest ones. If you’re looking for a cheap, clean place to stay, this is not it.

The water didn't drain from the tub when taking a shower, the Continental breakfast was only cereal (no knowledge of how often it is change, didn't look like other enough), muffins, hard bagels, juice; it was not the usual Continental breakfast, asked for more towels and was asked why I needed extra towels (we had a 2 night stay), anytime reception, had to call, the shower liner was mildewed and the shower head was dirty

It was clean however the bathrooms need some remodeling. I don’t know if it was dirt, mold or just discoloration but the bathrooms need upgrades.

We don't normally take the time to complain, but felt we should warn others. We watch star ratings closely and weed out the typical "complainers" to focus on reviews of the more realistic and reasonable traveler. This review is for you. The room had an odor. Possibly remnants of vinegar plus something else unidentifiable. There was no workable drain stopper in the tub/shower, so only shower. No drain stopper at all in the sink. Shower curtain was moldy. Otherwise, the room appeared clean and was quiet. That said, we might give it 2.5*, but for the breakfast. They should lower the price and remove breakfast included. You are much better off grabbing fast food elsewhere. Definitely skip it if you're used to the typical buffet of a 2-3* Choice or Hilton hotel chain. The juice dispenser was completely watered down to the point that there was barely any color to it. We asked them to fix it, but didn't wait around to try again as by then, my wife has tried the "cold cereal". The milk was out (not sitting on ice nor refrigerated) and was quite warm. The milk tasted on its way to spoiled. Had to dump it and quickly decided to just get on our way. If you're okay with a bagel (there is a toaster), you might be fine, but by then, it was too late for us.

Disgusting room. Smelled awful. Mold in the bathroom. Black grime on the showerhead. We didnt even spend the night. 10 minutes and we left to go and stay at the Hampton Inn. Dont ever stay here.

I got eaten up by bed bugs. I called the lodge and left a voicemail but no response. Expedia is working to get a refund but they have gotten a lot of pushback from the lodge. From reading other Google reviews, it appears my efforts are not alone. It's cost me time and money to visit doctors for the bugs and exterminators for preventative control.

There were live bed bugs in the room that we stayed at. Took a video, pic and showed it to concierge. I would suggest the owner and management to take care of this issue.

Not too bad of a place. It was clean. Looks like they've updated a little. Bed was really squishy and pillows were pretty thin. Walls are definitely thin, you will hear your neighbors and their tv!!

Staff was great. Close to downtown. Only issue is the walls are paper thin and everyone hears every little sound.

I stayed here about a mile from downtown Blue Ridge, while my brother and sister-in-law stayed at a downtown hotel for more than three times the price of my room. At check-in, I mentioned that I have a heart condition and don’t sleep well, and I always request a quiet room. The front desk clerk carefully considered my request and placed me on the second floor. He was right—I was very comfortable. My room, and the hotel overall, was clean and presented exactly as a mountain lodge should. The bed was firmer than I’m used to, but I still slept well all three nights. The bathroom was nicely updated with granite counters and tiled floors. The only small issue was a loose sink handle that needed a set screw tightened, which I reported to the front desk. The TV was older (not a smart TV), but cable had plenty of choices, and I was able to connect my laptop via HDMI to stream YouTube. The location is another plus: the lodge sits in a quiet area within walking distance of an Ingles supermarket—very convenient. Overall, I had a great stay and will definitely be back!

I travel almost every week for work. I took the family apple picking in blue ridge. I have never had a front desk, assistant that was more friendly or helpful. In her helpfulness, she did allow me to borrow a pair of pliers in order to adjust the temperature in both my room and my kids room. The knobs were missing on the wall units and you cannot turn them unless you had a pair of pliers. Several of the outlets were found and so old that the plugs would not stay in there to charge your phone. I will say that the hotel is done a good job updating the interior of the rooms with lap board siding. The rooms were clean.

Outdated but affordable property. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. 5 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge was a plus! Staff are very friendly.

Good: Pleasant accommodations for the price. Staff were super friendly. Convenient location. Needs improvement: Surprisingly busy late at night and early morning. The bell on the front door was loud and chimed constantly at all hours from people going in and out. Knob on AC was broken and temperature could not be adjusted. We were only there for one night so no biggie.

It was fairly clean and the room is ok but the walls didn’t keep any of the noise out when people where watching tv or talking and the doorbell would go off every time someone opened the door so it was going off all night I had 2 nights there and only a couple hours of sleep

Carol at check in desk is always friendly and informative. Room and bed both comfortable. This is the only place we stay at in Blue Ridge.

This place is very nice super clean with a very comfortable atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful really can’t say enough about the place. I travel to the area quite often and this will be my go to place going forward. I booked a room for 2 nights but unfortunately had to cut my stay short, will be coming back again in the fall and plan on staying there again.

Arrived 15 minutes before 4p and was told check in was not until 4p and I would have to wait until that time. By 4p there were about 1/2 dozen people waiting to be checked in. The desk clerk was flustered and somewhat rude checking us in. Felt like it wouldn't have been as stressful if she would have checked us in as we arrived, instead of making everyone wait for no apparent reason other than that is advertised check in time. If my room was ready, I have never had to wait to check in anywhere, ever - before here. There was a small amount of mold at the water ring in my toilet, some in the shower and the sink faucet had a residue all around it. Carpet was dated and dusty. HVAC louver for air flow was broken with a couple of rows missing. Location was good for not being downtown. Definitely an overall disappointment.

The owner is extremely rude, unprofessional with poor communication skills. No respect or regard for customers. My room card key kept on getting disabled and on the day of my check out, I rang the bell and a hotel employee comes out and I started explaining to him. In the meantime, a guy walks in from the front entrance and yells to me that I must have kept it close to my phone. I said, excuse me and who are you as I am talking to the front reception guy and that I have not been keeping the card key close to my phone and this thing has happened repeatedly ever since we checked in 2 days ago. He came to behind the counter and starts yelling at me exhibiting his ownership of the place and when I asked him to reactivate my key he out of vengeance says that he won’t don’t it and when I threatened to him that I am going to call the cops for his refusal and for his disorderly behavior and rude mannerism, he the wanted to check my ID and then only reactivated my card key for me to take my stuff out of my room and check out. He refused to tell me his name and when I told him that I am going to write a poor review for his conduct, he yelled that he didn’t care and will “reply” to it. In addition, the hotel rooms and stinky, there’s an offensive room spray that they use that made us sick. The bathroom is smelly, poor finish, the shower head looked like it was full of mold and black build up. The bed cover/comforter looked old and smelly. The breakfast was meager- No eggs.

Front desk clerk was wonderful: helpful, friendly, sense of humor. She needs to be the Boss! Manager was rude.. unfriendly. He appears angry. No AARP. No elevator. Needs new carpet or tile. and updating. . May not return.

Even though it had very pretty woodwork, the service was sub par. When we left the hotel Saturday morning to go on the scenic railroad, we put the do disturb sign sign on our door. But when we got back, they had came in and cleaned, made the bed, and changed the towels. They also took 2 bottles that we had saved as souvenirs, and apparently threw them away. When we tried to talk to the owners, he basically called us liars and said we didn't have that on our door, and told us that the other side was showing (that apparently said Room Service) and that they didn't do anything wrong. I finally stomped out of there as I could get nowhere with them. They didn't care about our opinion of our stay there, and they didn't care that their housekeepers touched and took our things. Sorry as hell. No wonder they are listed as a 2-star hotel. Will not be staying there again!

Great place for my husband and I. The room was clean and the front desk was wonderful. I really appreciated them calling to check on us since we had a later check in time.

We did not partake of the breakfast. The AC was not on in the room so it was very stuffy and did not snell fresh. Even with the air on, we had to open the windows to air out the room. We called twice to confirm our arrival to be after 8. We arrived at 8:10 and the desk was empty. We rang the bell with no response. We called the hotel and a man answered and came up to check us in. Just was a bit offputting.

Close to downtown

My request for a top floor room in the back was honored, and the check-in was very quick and easy. The wood lodge-like feel of the hotel gives it some unique charm. This was a great value for the quality of the facility and its proximity to Blue Ridge and Elijay.

Only issue is the continental breakfast was a 2 out of 10. Bagels were OK but tough toaster/MW helped. Juice machine was watered down, not drinkable. Coffee was great! It was in a very nice setting, on top of a hill with trees , very quiet, very clean. All rooms accessible from inside only, which I like, and it feels very safe, even had a contental breakfast. Will definitely stay again. The price was reasonable too.

We came up for work and stayed one night. The staff were friendly and I really liked the cabin feel in a hotel room. The location was ideal because it was quiet but close to town.

Well first of all my husband went in to use the toilet and lifted up the lid and it fell off. The tv changer didn’t work unless you stood right in front of the tv. The light on the table had no knob to turn off/on so it had to be plugged in and out. The carpet along the baseboards were filthy. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, plain bagels, one variety of yogurt, wrapped muffins and so so tasting juice.

Need to be updated. They only had cereal and coffee for breakfast. The orange juice was spoil.

It was excellent in all the conditions you expect it should perform in. However, I found it difficult to sleep. My room was next to the entry door in the back. All night long that door toned as guest came in. And I could hear my neighbors as if there is nothing separating us. Coffee was horrible—watered down. Sugary cereals, bagels, sugary muffins, small selection of fruit, my banana was old. Would I stay there again, yes. But not a room near an entry!

The rooms and locations were nice, clean and aesthetically pleasing. The location was pretty and easy to find with close access to stores and downtown. Breakfast was basic with fruit and cereal as well as few bagels ( although the toaster did not work). The only thing I would say that needed addressed is that on the desk they advertise that they will arrange activities such as horseback riding or a firepit for the guests and they actually do not do either. They will, if you want a fire give you a pile of wood to start it on your own.

The room was very nice and as others have noted the motif is lodge style. Went down for "breakfast" at around 8AM which consisted of just juice and cereal. Unfortunately when I filled my cup with apple juice it was full of at least 10 bugs. So no juice or cereal for us. I am just glad I checked first.

The property was clean and check in was easy. The room was also clean. The breakfast was a limited selection- muffins, bagel and cereal with some fruit. However there was no milk for the cereal, which was the only downside to our stay.
