The grounds were lovely however the room we were in was in need of serious work. Toilet wasn’t properly bolted down and moved, Wi-Fi service was non existent as was television working. The carpet was badly stained. We lost power one night and had to figure it out for ourselves where the breakers were. Communication was lacking. Breakfast was ok but would have preferred the option of a lighter choice other than the failed attempts of serving a hot gourmet breakfast. The innkeeper did not possess an approachable attitude.

This lovely B&B, just a short drive from the old town square, is both charming and comfortable. Rooms are well-equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Our room had a fireplace with a gas insert making it easy to use. The tasty breakfast included a yogurt and fresh fruit cup, a freshly baked egg dish and muffin. On-site parking made it easy to get our things in and out.

Great facility in a beautiful spot. Quiet and out of the way. Grounds are beautiful. Missing a couple amenities: luggage racks, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was very good for one of us, but too spicy for one of us with no alternative. The proprietor was as nice and accommodating as could be.

A beautiful setting, peaceful, the Finca, room could use a couple luggage stands that fold out as there is no place to put a suitcase but the bed which isn't always good when someone else is in it nor any drawers and they don't fit in the small closet stand.

Beautiful grounds. Quiet area. No tv or clock in our room but other rooms have tv. Delightful breakfasts, refrigerator available for leftovers but not sure if there's a way to heat things up. I thoroughly enkoyed it.

Beautiful room and property. Peaceful location. Great breakfast. Hostess was very nice and accommodating. Wifi was weak, but that isn’t why we came to Taos. We will be back.

First off, I know this place is a work in progress…. The location is excellent (1.9 miles from town), but things in a true adobe ARE rustic. For instance: neither of the screen doors actually closed. The door to the back patio did not even have a handle on the inside Tough to pull the screen door closed. The screen in the bathroom (unit 4) also did not fit so we had our share of Miller Moths. You could hear doors opening and closing in other units quite clearly -probably the bathroom doors. It also looked like they were working hard to improve the outdoor spaces. Breakfast was wonderful. Sara was extremely welcoming and friendly. Ample parking, nice courtyard area with water feature

This cozy B&B is conveniently located. It is only a 10-minute drive to downtown and less than 5 minutes to the beginning of the Enchanted Circle route. Breakfast was always delicious and a healthy portion. The only minor trouble was that the wi-fi did not work for me.

We loved our two nights at the old Taos guesthouse B&B. Our room was quiet and clean and old world luxurious, with a private back entrance onto our own little patio and chairs. The facility is steeped in history yet is very well kept & lovely. Staff is wonderful and breakfast was amazing, prepared to order and to accommodate our food sensitivities. Excellent value, wonderful experience. Please note that it's not practical to walk from the guest house to old Taos, but there's plenty of parking in town.

Kinda old feeling. Room was clean but carpet worn and spotted, for example. Windows frosted from age but clean. Breakfast of three small waffles, two strips of bacon, oj, coffee and a small portion of yogurt was a bit disappointing; well prepared but still disappointing. My second stay here. First time the guests were a fun loving group and so outside seating areas were "busy". This time everyone kept to themselves. My impression of property was definitely better first visit. I will go back to this property if I revisit Taos.

This was our first stay at a B&B and The Old Taos Guest House exceeded our expectations. I feel for any B&B we stay in next because our most gracious hosts, Sarah, Bob and Cady really set the bar high. Checking in & out was simple, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, the room was clean & comfortable, and the property was beautiful & relaxing. Book lovers will enjoy the extensive selection of reading material, which will satisfy every reader’s interest. I can’t wait to return and stay longer.

My husband stepped into dog dropping in the kitchen which was a difficult start. It’s a lovely setting and very picturesque. Room was hot, shower was very slow and room smelled like sewer gas. Dog across the hall barked. We left at 5 am to go home and sleep. Disappointing

Room (#3) felt a bit tired...carpet needs updating. Could have used a light outside the door...it was difficult to use room key in the dark. We liked the breakfast setting and the food was wonderful. Ndoc (sp?) was a superb breakfast host.

Loved the quaintness and quiet and breakfast. The unit I stayed in needs some wirk in the bathroom and no handle on screen door. Also the patio chairs were dirty. Owners were fabulous!!!

Very much enjoyed our stay. The bed and pillows were great. Had a cute little sitting area with a fireplace that was most pleasant. Breakfasts were good. I would definitely recommend.

Very nice place. Very nice stay. Only issue for us was our room had a non-screened skylight which on a clear night provided a beautiful view of the stars, but flooded the room with sun lightas soon as it became light outside. I don’t remember that being noted in the description and it might bother some people.

We loved our stay at this bed and breakfast. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was nicely decorated with spacious bathroom and bedroom. The rooms all had chairs on the front porch and many, like ours had a semi- private back patio with chairs where we enjoyed our morning coffee. Our breakfast was very nice. There was a honey yogurt and granola “bite” to start and quickly a smoked ham quiche, with toast with black berry. jam. Coffee and juice was available. We wished we stayed longer.

OTGH is wonderful. The room was delightful, spacious and nicely fitted. There was a private patio out the back and the front faced into a courtyard with a fountain. The breakfasts were all delicious - no options but different every day. Endless coffee helped! Location is on the edge of town but easy to get to anywhere. I will definitely return. N

Bed - 3-stars ––– Breakfast - 5-stars This quaint B&B is a convenient drive from downtown Taos and is located in a beautiful, quiet area. The hotel owners are friendly and full of information. The breakfast each morning is spectacular! Delicious and well-presented. We stayed two nights (in two different suites, due to a last minute change) Both Suite 6 and Suite 10 were clean and unique. Unfortunately the beds were NOT comfortable. (6 was a bit better than 10). There were also no "blackout" curtains of any kind. So, if you love to rise with the sun - you'll be fine with this part. The final concern is the housekeeping storage are - located between suites 6 and 10 - which has doors into both suites. These "housekeeping doors only lock from the housekeeping side. There's no way to secure the door from the guests side - which made us a little uncomfortable. PROS: -Amazing breakfast -Lovely owners -Quiet location CONS: -Uncomfortable beds -Unsecured housekeeping entrance (only in 6 and 10) -No blackout curtains

The grounds were lovely however the room we were in was in need of serious work. Toilet wasn’t properly bolted down and moved, Wi-Fi service was non existent as was television working. The carpet was badly stained. We lost power one night and had to figure it out for ourselves where the breakers were. Communication was lacking. Breakfast was ok but would have preferred the option of a lighter choice other than the failed attempts of serving a hot gourmet breakfast. The innkeeper did not possess an approachable attitude.

The facility is steeped in history yet is very well kept & lovely. Staff is wonderful and breakfast was amazing, prepared to order and to accommodate our food sensitivities. This was our first stay at a B&B and The Old Taos Guest House exceeded our expectations. I feel for any B&B we stay in next because our most gracious hosts, Sarah, Bob and Cady really set the bar high. Checking in & out was simple, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, the room was clean & comfortable, and the property was beautiful & relaxing. Book lovers will enjoy the extensive selection of reading material, which will satisfy every reader’s interest. I can’t wait to return and stay longer.

I mistakenly thought I booked one single queen room for me and my husband and with one with two beds for our adult sons- it was just two single queen room. The inn owner Sarah was very accommodating to offer all the possible options. Our sons were able to stay in a large king bed room without extra charge. This place is exceptionally friendly, and beautifully decorated adobe gem, located in quiet part of Taos, yet easy to get to main attractions in the town.

This was our favorite stay on a 3 week tour of AZ and NM! Ngoc was very responsive, warm, friendly and made us feel right at home. The property was everything we hoped for and more! Historic, peaceful, lots of character, both our room and the main living/dining area. And the breakfast was delicious! We hope to come back again!

We were delayed due to weather, and instead of being charged a fee, they went out of their way to work with us. They upgraded our room to a casita, and changed the dates for us. After what we had just gone through with being stranded in a storm for 2 days, it was a relief to arrive to such a beautiful place. They even had the fireplace lit, and the heat on for us! These Innkeepers are very helpful and friendly. The property is nice, and the rooms are decorated with taste. I usually don’t take the time to review a place, unless it is really nice. We will stay here again, anytime we return to Taos.

This B&B is a historic site with the old Taos vibe. Great staff, wonderful breakfasts made on site with fresh ingredients, quiet surroundings and mountain style landscapes. Rooms are spacious and furnished with comfort and grace. We will return.

Though not all that far from the plaza or main street (Paseo del Pueblo), it felt like it was out in the country. Very, very charming and authentic New Mexico. Excellent hospitality! Caution to the elderly and those requiring wheelchair accessibility - there are steps, head clearance issues, and tight squeezes.

Great facility in a beautiful spot. Quiet and out of the way. Grounds are beautiful. Missing a couple amenities: luggage racks, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was very good for one of us, but too spicy for one of us with no alternative. The proprietor was as nice and accommodating as could be.

It's a lovely property, outside of the town center by about a mile and a half. Centered around a courtyard, there are 10-12 rooms. Not modern, but in very good shape. The breakfasts were outstanding and the hosts were very friendly.

Beautiful spot, close enough to town but still has a quiet out in the country feel. Our room has a small “patio” in back where we enjoy sitting to read or look at the sky. Breakfast was delicious and the host is very helpful. Will come back!

OTGH is wonderful. The room was delightful, spacious and nicely fitted. There was a private patio out the back and the front faced into a courtyard with a fountain. The breakfasts were all delicious - no options but different every day. Endless coffee helped! Location is on the edge of town but easy to get to anywhere. I will definitely return. N

I have slept on the ground before so when I say the twin beds were awful and I would have rather slept on the floor is the truth. My friend is 5'8 and her feet stuck over the end of the bed. The springs dug into her back and she woke up in pain and I woke up hearing her cry. The room was 66 and there was no way to turn up the heat as it was in the 40s outside. I text the host and did not get an anwer for several hours and by then my friend found the thermostat controls hidden behind the television set. The room reminded me on ones I had stayed at in the 60s. Food seemed to be pretty much bland and probably bought at a GFS or whatever restaurant supply is in the area. I head the microwave being used so not the fresh breakfast as reported. Coffee too was blah and probably something bought at a grocery store chain. For the amount of money spent, we both felt it is well over rated.

Great stay at super cute B&B just 6 min from town. Breakfast was amazing with granola, yogurt, fruit and savory main - breakfast burrito one day and breakfast tamale the next. We would definitely come back to this spot.

Kinda old feeling. Room was clean but carpet worn and spotted, for example. Windows frosted from age but clean. Breakfast of three small waffles, two strips of bacon, oj, coffee and a small portion of yogurt was a bit disappointing; well prepared but still disappointing. My second stay here. First time the guests were a fun loving group and so outside seating areas were "busy". This time everyone kept to themselves. My impression of property was definitely better first visit. I will go back to this property if I revisit Taos.

We loved our stay at this bed and breakfast. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was nicely decorated with spacious bathroom and bedroom. The rooms all had chairs on the front porch and many, like ours had a semi- private back patio with chairs where we enjoyed our morning coffee. Our breakfast was very nice. There was a honey yogurt and granola “bite” to start and quickly a smoked ham quiche, with toast with black berry. jam. Coffee and juice was available. We wished we stayed longer.

The Old Taos Guesthouse is truly a unique B & B. It appears that all of the rooms are different with their own charm and feeling. The property offers numerous vantage points to take in the spectacular sunsets, as well as many peaceful locations to sit, relax and take in the quiet surroundings. We enjoyed sitting in a pair of Adirondack chairs outside of our room, sometimes chatting with fellow guests or reading or simply relaxing. The breakfasts are certainly worthy of some kind of award(s), certainly not your average fare. The chef and the property manager are both top notch - we can't say enough good things about them. On top of all of the accolades, our stay was definitely affordable for the comfort and experience we enjoyed. We are already planning a return trip.

We are older travelers and the two steps to our charming room were wooden and narrow (definitely not to standard codes), making it a little risky getting in and out. It took a long time for the water in our bathroom to get warm when turned on (demand HW water heaters or hot water circulating pumps would alleviate that). The water pressure in the shower was poor, and during my shower it would move between scalding hot and lukewarm without warning (perhaps when my neighbor flushed their toilet or turned on their HW?). The heat level on the HW should be turned down so that the hottest water is good for a hot shower, but not so hot that it can burn if the cold water suddenly decreases or stops running. Everyone travels with things that need charging these days (tablets, phones, watches, hearing aids). There were few outlets in our room that were not behind furniture. A single outlet near the desk or on either side of the bed with a plug strip with 6 outlets would be very welcome.
