Property looks nice on the outside and decent on the inside. It’s an old building and a lot of the amenities listed on this platform are incorrect and inaccurate. There is no public terrace, vending machines were out of order, no gym as listed and their washers were down. This facility has one way in and one way out making it difficult to bring your items in. The front desk staff is mediocre at best and isn’t friendly. Charged me for my service dog so beware if you have that or emotional support animal. Overpriced for the quality of the room and will never stay there again. Inexperienced front desk and only do what they are told. I expressed my concern and was quickly dismissed as to not address my issue at hand so I didn’t bother.

Broken elevator?!? My disabled husband had to walk three flights of stairs. No offer to move our room or to help us carry our luggage up. Unbelievable. Room large but outdated and overpriced.

This Hotel is only 8-10mins from the ocean, next to great food places and plazas to see. This Hotel really is just to sleep in, there’s elevator, no breakfast, no pool and you’ll need a $200 deposit at check in. Overall it was great, parking is easy and the overall hotel was a 4/5

Rooms were big and clean. The front desk lobby was clean and coffee in the morning was hot. The cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating. Elevator was out of service so was the ice machine on the first floor. But the walk up the 2nd floor wasn't to bad.

Staff, room, area, all great. My only complaint is that there really should be a warning about the driveway! If you don't go in and out at a serious angle you scrape the bottom of your car pretty bad.

For a nights sleep I would recommend, but their elevator is “out of service” which we found out was not but due to a city inspection. So needless to say we had to walk up the 3 flights with all our luggage. Rooms were average, beds were comfy though. Ice machines were broken as well , all except one which was on the 2nd floor. The bathroom lighting was nice though

Elevatot broken after told to use it. Had to carry bicycles up 3 flights of stairs. Ice maker broken, no bathrooms in lobby, several vending machines broken, couldnt use rear parking lot exits, ac in room not working had to switch rooms after asking 3 times, lights flickering in parking lot, room key stopped working. Checked out early and will never book this hotel again.

Hotel room large and clean. We had a stroller and child. Really disappointed that the elevator was down our entire stay. Staff kept saying it just happened was going to be fixed. This was a big inconvenience. We had to go up 3 flight of stairs with a stroller and Child.

False advertising on the website. They claim to have a gym and bar area. They do not have either. The rooms need maintenance. The air conditioner stinks like really bad mildew. I was afraid to turn it on because of the air quality. I will say that the rooms were clean and smelled like thy use bleach to clean.

Fleas were present in the room (106) that was assigned to us. As soon as we walked in the door we felt them jumping on us and then biting us. After realizing what was happening, we killed/collected a few of them that were on our legs into a water cup and showed to the staff. They proceeded to give us another room (105) down the hall but we we’re uncomfortable staying the night with the concern of more fleas being nearby. Will not stay here ever again

The hotel was very clean and appeared to be newly renovated. The rooms are spacious and we were surprised to have a microwave, refrigerator and bar sink in our room. The location is great for walking to the harbor or pier, if you don’t mind walking. The only thing that was a bit alarming was a few lots down was a boarded up hotel. This has attracted homeless folks that hang out in the area. But other than that it was a good place to stay and the price was great for a few nights stay near the beach.

**Bed bugs** I stayed at the hotel 1/16/2025-1/18/2025. I stayed in room 104 and I woke up with bed bugs bites all over my body. I tried to contact the hotel to let them know so they could probably treat the room and others if it had spread I received no response. This was a great choice for the one night that we needed. Felt secure, clean and quite spacious compared to most double bed rooms. The only negatives I can think of was the a/c wasn't quite cooling the room enough... It was a tad warm for us. If we were going to be there longer I might have asked for a fan. Also, the stripping around the door (going into the hall) was pretty non-existent. You could see a ton of light through the sides. Just more of an observation that a complaint. It might have bothered some.

The Hotel Oceanside was perfect for my business trip to work at the Breeders Cup at Del Mar. I enjoyed the quiet, spacious comfortable room. Plenty of table and countertop space as well as more than enough drawers. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the water pressure in the shower. But the price and convenience surely made up for it.

Just came back from my first Oceanside weekend at this hotel, we typically stay at another but this year was out of my price range. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were and clean too. It came with microwave, refrigerator, freezer, extra sink….the beds were quite comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and price was very reasonable.

Front desk personnel were terrible. They wouldn’t even look at you in the eye. They were very unwelcoming and not friendly at all. You felt like you were bothering them. What do you say? There was a gentleman there that was good, but the two females at the front desk were terrible. The housekeeping personnel were very friendly and good.

I was evacuating my home in LA due to the fires. The hotel was affordable and a safe place to escape with my fur babies on short notice. Central location Went for luggage cart at 10:30am. Non available. Only 1 on property. Front desk lady told us if we weren't out by 11 would be charged for another day. Was rude. Everything was great up until the end. Me and my boyfriend stayed in the king bed with kitchenette room. The room was relatively clean, did have stains in our curtains, but other than that it felt clean. The ac worked great, water pressure was perfect, was very quiet, and just overall comfortable. When we arrived there was a young woman at the front desk and she was very nice and helpful when we asked for extra towels. However, when we went to check out on our 3rd day a different woman was at the desk. We walked out to throw trash away (took 1 minute max) and when we walked back in to collect our cash deposit, the woman was no longer there. We waited 10 minutes.. no one. 30 minutes.. no one. We knocked on the office door and there was no answer. We checked for cleaning ladies to possibly page the receptionist and couldn’t find anyone. Now it’s 8:30 am (an hour and a half we’ve been waiting) and now we’re getting upset, we’ve called the front desk phone numerous times and called out in the lobby as well. We hear a chair move in the office that we’ve knocked on a few times. My boyfriend knocks again and the woman comes out and SHES BEEN SLEEPING!!! I was so frustrated because we aren’t from Oceanside and wanted to be on the road at 7 am to start our 10 hour drive. Now we’re an hour and a half behind and couldn’t leave because the policy is a $200 CASH deposit when you stay for 3 days. She looked young maybe early 20s. This place has “24 hour reception.”

The hotel was very clean and appeared to be newly renovated. The rooms are spacious and we were surprised to have a microwave, refrigerator and bar sink in our room. The location is great for walking to the harbor or pier, if you don’t mind walking. The only thing that was a bit alarming was a few lots down was a boarded up hotel. This has attracted homeless folks that hang out in the area. But other than that it was a good place to stay and the price was great for a few nights stay near the beach.

The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. The check in was uneventful, the agent was disengaged but not unfriendly. If you don't drive a car with high clearance, be mindful as you enter the driveway so you don't scratch or damage your car. It's a convenient location to harbor and pier.

Absolutely loved this place. The only things I would change would be having screens on the windows. It was nice to have an unobstructed view but it just didn't feel quite safe especially since I like to open the windows when I'm near the ocean. There was supposed to be breakfast but when I went down at 8am but there was nothing. Other than that I really enjoyed it here, I loved the room and wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay again.

Well what happened was going into town for a few nights to take care of important stuff and same time for leasure. Needed something last min so went on app and scored this place. Will say love the stuff it offered like laundry room, spacious room, kitchen area with sink, microwave and fridge. Plus in the heart of Oceanside and close to transportation. Only negatives was no free breakfast and onsite snack shop only accepted cash only. Also a bit on pricey side. Overall if you need something last min on expensive side I'd say this is your choice..

It looks like at one time they did a continental breakfast, but was told since Covid they shut it down and have not reopened it. I think it would’ve been a nice thing to have available.

If I knew this was the old la quinta inn I would have booked sooner. Had no idea, it's nice to have a familiar place to come to in Oceanside. But the website says a free bright side breakfast, which they did not have. That was the most disappointing point of the hotel, other than that, great service the first night and great housekeeping staff. Friendly and courteous.

The picture are nicer than the place is in person. The front desk is not a friendly bunch unfortunately. And the room was not clean. The sheets had marks on them, the pillows were small, the toilet was crazy loud and 0 shower water pressure. Most vending markets were cash only, and the rest didn’t work.

Not much to say. It’s no frills. But you get what you pay for. There was a continental breakfast area, that had flowers on the table but only had a basket a granola bars and belvita cookies. A bowl of five oranges. Hot coffee in pump carafes. A toaster with no breads. It was cheap and clean. And close to Pendleton. I’d update the place with maybe a usable chair in each of on that maybe folds out. Minimal linens provided and miniature sleeping pillows. Very clean. Very polite staff. Some bit of a language barrier with a few, but specially the cleaning ladies. The $200 cash deposit is a little off. Watched a lady check in and they told her she could put the deposit on a card. But when we asked the day before, they said it had to be cash. Don’t like dogs in the building. But it’s not my business. Again, clean and cheap.

This is my second review for this hotel, because we booked to consecutive reservations. So I will keep this brief. The counter woman was extremely unhelpful and obviously hates her job. The reservation was for 2 adults and one 17yr old child. We asked for the third key so my daughter could come and go as she please, but the counter woman refused to give us one. She told my wife the reservation was for 2 people only. I guess a teenager doesn't qualify as a full adult.🙄 The room had ants and the toilet has a weird device in the tank so can only use the toilet every 3-4 mins because it takes that long for the water to fill up the tank again. They think it's saves them water, but it's frustrating if two or more people have to use the rest room back to back. This was our first time staying here and it will be our last.

Not sure why she continues to work here. The hotel lobby is old and in need of renovations. The rooms were better, but they weren't very clean and I had to request that the toilet seat be fixed when I arrived because it was broken and there wasn't any soap in the shower. The television has hundreds of channels, but you can only access to a few. The hotel does have a washer and dryer on both floors and I loved it. We normally stay at the best western next door, but it was booked so we tried this one. We won't be staying here again.
