The manager was really nice. The motel Is very clean. Parking is a bit limited. The bed was a little firm but the sheets, pillows, and bedding was very clean. The room smelled clean too. The bathroom and furniture is outdated but clean acunctional. I don't usually stay in Motels but I really liked this one, ipp be back.

Price was ok. Staff was great. Definitely dated and needs updating. Not a smart TV, so limited channels, no Netflix or Prime etc. Can't even log onto your own acct. Room was clean, but everything old. Had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Had to go to the office to get ice.

This is a very cute, small hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and very nice, comfortable bed, nice microwave, fridge, TV and coffee setup. There's an elevator to reach upper floors. We would definitely stay here again.

Personnel was great. And the value for the cost was good.However, the office closes around eight and doesn’t open up again till after seven in the morning. That issue means you can’t get ice during closed hours cause the ice machine is in the office or towels or any other amenities you may need. Internet was very weak in the room and I had to go outside to try and get a signal which doesn’t work very well for a computer. It’s OK for the phone. In fact, if the Internet would’ve worked better, we would’ve stayed an additional possibly two or three days however on Monday and Tuesday we need to have reliable strong Internet for various appointments. The air conditioner was good but loud. The shower had a lot of pressure and the water was very hot

Not quite enough parking. I had to park behind the hotel off the alley, which I was not quite comfortable with. Other than that everything else was a great value for this type of hotel. All of the staff were super helpful and friendly.

Dirty, old and needing remodeling. Ants in the bathroom and flying bugs in the room! Ice only available in office when it is open which is not 24 hours. Sketchy people probably living there and hanging out in parking lot. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else!

The room was very dirty. Linens were clean but floor and walls were very dirty. Tub wouldn’t drain and the front desk said there was no way to fix it so they offered us another room on the second floor which would mean having to pack up and haul everything up the stairs. I asked if he could just try a plunger. Reluctantly he got one and it worked. Would not recommend this property.

This was a GEM in the rough. Loved the theme they did. Room was clean and beds were real good. Good location and safe place. CLEAN and staff was awesome. Would stay here again for sure. Stayed 2 nights.

Shower was dirty as were the floors. Wove around the homeless as I was leaving. I've stayed 3-4 times now, the price was great, but I ended up picking up trash outside--which should not be necessary.

Upon arrival there were so many flies buzzing around the room we had to go buy fly swatters. Bed was so hard it was like sleeping on a plank boards. We did not get the comfortable rest we were seeking. The floors in the room were not swept/cleaned before our arrival. Bathroom floor was covered in black hairs that definitely were not ours. Had to sweep them up the best I could wirh TP and a washcloth, before laying down the bath rug. Yuck! Elevator on the property is also something to be desired, we opted to use the syairs for our 3rd floor room.

First floor room request was fulfilled. Hotel was very old and in poor condition. Decorated oddly. Floors were filthy- our feet turned black with dirt walking from the bed to shower- we had to wear flip flops in the room. Spiders crawling around and got a baby spider in my ear. Front desk management seem fine. $150 damage deposit required in event of room damage - could tell they have seen a thing or two here. Toiletries provided were nice. Towels were not absorbent to the point of feeling damp. Felt like the towels were coated with wax. Would not recommend and will not return. Bates Motel vibe here. Good online reviews are a cruel joke on travelers passing through town. Photos do not reflect the poor condition of the property.

Check-in guy had the right level of engagement - not trying to be our friend, but efficient, helpful and professional. Yes, it is an older motel, but on the whole it is clean enough (floor seemed to absorb dirt from outside very easily, and the bathroom sink did have a smell coming from the pipes), and you are going to have to tolerate some less than ideal aspects for the very cheap price. No issues with other tenants (well maybe just a bit of weed wafting in but no-one was noisy or aggressive). It was also a nice, quiet area to stay in, especially if you want to avoid the ick of downtown Reno.

It's a quaint place with a Victorian era theme, but it was obviously built many decades ago with no upgrades. It was well maintained and our room was VERY clean, but the odor of disinfectant (Pine-sol?) was so strong I had to open the room up and turn on the AC to breath. TV had about 3 stations with nothing worth watching and very poor wi-fi connection. Staff was friendly and helpful, but they can only do so much with what they have to work with. For the price, it was acceptable, but I think next time I visit Reno, I'll spend more money on our room.

There was a weird brown stain on the sheets. Fitted sheet never stayed on. Extremely uncomfortable bed and pillows both looked dirty. I booked because it was about $100 and they had a bath tub. The bath tub was cracked everywhere with some kind of red stains in the cracks. It looked blood red. Shower was also stained. Fan in bathroom is loud and comes on with the light yet the water still stayed so the annoying sound is pointless. I had to sleep with the door blocked and a knife under my pillow.

Rock hard bed. Noisy. Run down. Stepped into the shower and the water ran muddy from the dirt on my feet. Luckily no signs of bugs but I got the vibe that this is a transient hotel. Required triple the room rate for a security departure. I'll pass on this one next time.

The room indicated that it had queen beds. They were not queens but rather full bed. They really are too small for two adults. The beds were hard and squeaked every time you rolled over. No plug for bath. No plugfor sink to stop anything from goimg down drain. Tv remote didn't work correctly. Rooms were really small. Bumped leg on hard wood bed frame several times. Not the best if you want confortable space to rest.

For the price it was a fair value, old building, clean and comfortable beds. They did lack modern conveniences like usb ports and they didn’t have any spare ac sockets, so was slightly inconvenient.

Really nice rooms. Building looks run down in the outside but the room was comfortable, nice bed. Wifi didn't seem to work but otherwise enjoyed the room.

Overall this hotel is great. After making reservations my flight got delayed so I called Victorian inn to let them know I was going to exceed the deadline time to check in and the staff was kind enough to go out of there way and wait for an hour and a half on my arrival. Super friendly staff

This is more of a long term, do not dye your hair in the sink, dogs barking, loud house keeping, no WIFI, place next to the Greyhound station. We were given the wrong key at check in and tried opening the door to our room with a man in a towel trying to keep us out of his room. Oops. I was told there wasn't enough WIFI for everyone because they have a lot of gamers living there. The kitchenette is a microwave, fridge and empty drawers.

The evening front office staff (Al) was extremely helpful in getting us settled in our room even though we had a very late check in (around 12:30 AM). He waited for us even though the front desk officially closes at midnight. The room was well lit and very clean. The amenities provided were more like a higher star rated hotel. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for us.

I called to book a room for a second night and ask about like $150 hold that they do if they would be doing a second $150 hold for the second night. The gentleman who answered the phone told me I should be more on top of things and have booked my room in advance. Not being able to anticipate my broke down vehicle being completed today or not. I called to book a room for a second night and ask about like $150 hold that they do if they would be doing a second $150 hold for the second night. The gentleman who answered the phone told me I should be more on top of things and have booked my room in advance. Not being able to anticipate my broke down vehicle being completed today or not. I wasn't able to prebook my room and he was very rude and short with me. Told me to call back at a more convenient time for him. I would not recommend this property. Customer service is very poor!

The desk was very helpful, pleasant and courteous. The rooms were clean and sufficient for our needs. The rooms are dated but the service made up for any shortcomings. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Check-in guy had the right level of engagement - not trying to be our friend, but efficient, helpful and professional. Yes, it is an older motel, but on the whole it is clean enough (floor seemed to absorb dirt from outside very easily, and the bathroom sink did have a smell coming from the pipes), and you are going to have to tolerate some less than ideal aspects for the very cheap price. No issues with other tenants (well maybe just a bit of weed wafting in but no-one was noisy or aggressive). It was also a nice, quiet area to stay in, especially if you want to avoid the ick of downtown Reno.

This is an old-fashioned owner-run motel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The property itself is quirky and dated (the rug was downright old), but clean. The area is the old downtown Sparks, next to the megalithic Nugget resort. It's not a bad area, but not pretty either. It's a great, economical, overnight stay.

I like the location of this motel which is near the Nugget Casino. It is also located near a main bus terminal where it's easy to catch a bus to other parts of the Reno / Sparks area. Also friendly and helpful staff!

Loved the location to the Nugget Casino and the Event center, we went for a concert. Staff was very friendly. The room we had was nice. Felt safe in the area and was good parking. Only downfall- we had two queen beds and no matter how you turned to sleep, they squeaked. So sleeping was a little hard as you heard the movement of others.

Dated, but not bad. WiFi in our room was unavailable, because of location. Staff was friendly, rooms clean and very quiet inside the room, outside was a constant din from I 80.

At first glance I was worried about the location and if it would be noisy and dirty but it was cleaner than the last Wyndham I stayed in. Much quieter too. Very conveniently located for the Nugget Event Center, short walk, felt safe even after dark.

This property charged me 2X. This business is a 'fraud factory'; cheap at first glance, then expensive at finish. This property is located in a part of town with lots of homeless people and drug use 24/7. It sits between the Greyhound bus station and several convenience stores; so the foot traffic is constant and mental illness is on display every day. It's also located directly below the departing flight path for Reno Airport; with jets taking off frequently until late in the evening. So, once in the room, you may be too distracted to notice the bugs for a while ... or that walking to dinner probably isn't a good idea.

This was a very nice place to stay. I was impressed. The room was not large, but the amenities were everything I needed. The coffee was very good. The bed was comfortable. Tv and remote worked well. The water in the bathroom was hot immediately. The shower had too much flow, but OK. they could reduce with a water efficient shower head. Towels were good. The bathroom mirror need to be 6-12 inches higher, I had to bend over and i am only 5-8. It was everything I needed. and the price was reasonable. I hope I can get the same deal in the future.

For the price (cheaper than a lot of others in the area) it was fine. It was clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Good coffee in the room. Just could use some updating. Overall, satisfied with the price.

Price was ok. Staff was great. Definitely dated and needs updating. Not a smart TV, so limited channels, no Netflix or Prime etc. Can't even log onto your own acct. Room was clean, but everything old. Had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Had to go to the office to get ice.

Good place to stay if you’re attending the Rib Cookoff on Virginia Street, it’s walking distance. Rooms are average, small TV, but it has a single serve coffee maker, small microwave and mini-fridge.

I’m halfway through a two-night stay and I have to say that I’m really impressed with the inn. I was for five years a Lonely Planet guidebook author. I have stayed at thousands of hotels. This one is solid in for cleanliness, comfort and amenities (free Wi-Fi, fridge, coffee maker, shampoo, small table with chairs), plus the mattress agreed with my finicky back. There are lots of security lights on the property, the heater/air-con worked well and the friendly clerk said there’s been no car break-ins in all the time he’s worked there. For the cost The Victorian Inn offers great value. I wouldn’t hesitate to give it repeat business.

Unique design, nicely laid out. A bit worn around the edges. Quite affordable. Just what the savvy traveler looks for! Very comfortable bed. Clean linens. New toilet. Occasional airplanes on approach overhead but nice and quiet overnight. BYO breakfast (fridge and microwave and good-enough coffee is provided)

Clean, comfortable. Like having a nice cold refrigerator, microwave and a pod coffee maker with some pods as well. Nice location. Could use a few items. Like spoons or coffee stirrers. Room had an weird smell to it. Like maybe they used an air freshener in there? For the price, it was fine though.

This is not at all what is advertised: there is no breakfast and wine and chesse. In awful shape pictures are very deceiving. Terrible neighborhood. The manager was very nice.

The room needs big updates and floor was grossly filthy. We had a little dog and his feet got filthy just walking on the floor. The linens were clean and bed comfortable but bathroom was unappealing to even use the shower. Fortunately we only had one night. You have to have the desk clerk get you ice. Still uses keys for doors. Haven’t seen that in awhile. I tried the in room coffee but the machine left a lot of coffee grounds in the cup. Maybe it needs a good cleaning. Walking distance to a nice casino while walking past the bus station that had security out front.

This hotel needs a lesson in hospitality. Front desk is rude, unhelpful, and callous. We had a confirmed reservation for 3 weeks in a row each done separately per their instructions. They abruptly canceled the 3rd week without much notice and no cause! Working 12 hour days in Reno temporarily and really only there to sleep. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND EVEN WORSE OWNERS!

It's an adorable old school hotel!!! A very easy walk to The Nugget. The Event Center is just a stroll through the casino. Bonnie was Awesome and super helpful!!! We will definitely be booking again for the next concert!!!
