It was terrible. Hotel needs to be plowed over. Person at front desk was really lazy. Never got up from the chair, it was like we (the guest) were bothering him. Even the person in front of noticed.. got to the room , noticed a ratting noisy. The cover over the HVAC unit was all broken up . I tried and put items on it so it would not rattle so much. The floor under the unit was wet. Went down stairs to ask to have somebody to come up and fix the cover. He gave me white duck tape and said try and tape it up because, he was the only one there. I tried and gave up because I ran out of tape. Asked to be moved, which he did. The room we moved into was not much better.Holes in the wall in the bathroom. Carpet wet in the room. Felt dirty. Did not take off our socks. Got to use the bathroom and stepped on something that crunched. I was going to be there three more night. No way, we checked out the next morning. Do not books this hotel.

The staff was awesome and so very accommodating! I must say that they made our stay so much better! The room, however, was not as I expected! I walked in to a horrible mildew smell and the sheets felt damp! I was very surprised and disappointed! It is not Comfort Inn quality! We were happily moved to another room. Unfortunately…the toilet rocked and the shower curtain would not close adequately!! I’ll never stay there again, use Hotels.com again or recommend anyone else to do so!

Room was really clean, but the bathroom was lacking in finished details tub spout was tight against the wall shower curtain was not adequate for the shower water leaked out onto the floor. Breakfast was ok could’ve used either bacon or sausage stand.

I only gave it 3 stars because the staff were so friendly and helpful. Otherwise, it would have been lower. The facility is gross. There were questionable stains on the bathroom door and lots of places that even just some paint and a quick touch up would make it feel cleaner and nicer even if you can't do a full renovation. There were so many areas that just look run down and gross in the room. I didn't have time to look at other areas of the property as we were on a tight agenda and really just slept there. Also, the room just always felt sticky and wet. The air conditioning is not dehumidifying adequately. We'll be coming to Coastal Carolina U. a lot because we were there for orientation for our daughter to start school, but we won't stay here again.
