The Bridge Hotel

Location wise it’s super close to Thorpe park which was perfect! When you walk in the area is beautiful, pub is a lovely setting. However, when we got to our room our duvet had a hole in it which was right in the middle of the sheet so obvious to a cleaner. This was really off putting considering the rest of the room was really nice. We were told when we went in that the kitchen is open until 9, we checked in late so got down to the pub by 8 and they had run out of three things on the menu, which was not ideal as after a long day all we wanted to do was sit and enjoy a nice meal. Which then ended up in us having to go out and find other options which we struggled with as there wasn’t many places around. When we went to go out we couldn’t get out of the barriers as no one at reception told us that you needed a coin to open it, so we had to park up and go back in to get a coin. This really ruined our experience as we were expecting good things as the hotel itself was lovely but a few things that ruined the stay.

Gorgeous pub and beautiful rooms with everything you could need. Plenty of parking and great food! Great value for money.

Hotel was easy to find and with plenty of parking. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to all requests. Room was lovely and spacious as too the bathroom. Aircon was a pkus with it being quite hot when visited in the summer. Lovely dining area with plenty of seating, we ate outside and food was delicious in the evening and at breakfast. I would order breakfast when booking as it is £15 and not £10 as advertised. Will stay again whrn in the area.

Great stay on the Thaes. Lift not working!!!

Being from out of the area and old lol,i needed clear instructions. Looking at reviews it stated after january reception will be at the back.arrive no problem ,park up.myself and my son checked quiet a few doors to find this reception.bit of a maze for a first timer. Would recommend clear sighnage pointing the way over/ next to every door.yes im thick lol ,and tired.long trip.never tried the food so i cant comment. But i find 15 for a breakfast excessive.,considering wot is in the price.all in all liked the place and would stay again .thankyou

It isn’t a large hotel which makes it much more personable. Beautiful spacious rooms, especially the ones over looking the river with Juliet balcony, where you can watch the ducks & swans- all very idyllic. Staff are helpful & always available. Downstairs gives plenty of traditional country style pub vibes. If you are looking for an upmarket place to relax & chill out, this is the place to be. A major plus is the free on site parking. There is a 2 tier parking area next to hotel. Only issue was when they were very busy ( non residents use it in the evening, enjoying the terrace & conservatory overlooking the river) then the younger staff members struggled to manage orders. Would definitely return as the atmosphere, quality of service & food far out weighed any slight disadvantages. Good for transport links around London & lovely local countryside.

Nice overnight stay. Parking was ample and effectively in their own private little multi storey carpark next to the hotel. Was a bit confusing to try and find reception (you have to walk through the bar area to the back of the building) but staff were all friendly and helpful. Bedroom was large and design was lovely. Bed very large and comfy. Windows are old and not sealed properly so pretty noisy outside until the traffic (road and air!) died down a little later at night. Great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolates in the room, though no biscuits (sad times). Breakfast was hot food cooked to order and help yourself continental. Not a great deal of choice for continental, but enough for us. Toaster was a bit of an antique and really needs replacing lol

This is our second visit to this hotel, easy self check in service which is completed online prior to your check in date. Great to have hotel parking on site, the hotel provides you with a token, which is entered on exit. We booked a river view room last time, which had a lovely view of the Thames, unfortunately on this occasion due to the hotel being full, our room faced the car park. All the rooms are bright and airy with comfortable beds. We would definitely stay in this hotel again, but next time book early to secure a river view.

Rooms were lovely, is and another couple stayed in the deluxe double rooms and were very impressed with the rooms . Lovely and spacious and bathrooms were lovely and clean . Would definitely stay again.

One night stay on business, was ok, pub was very friendly and food was lovely, breakfast also very high standard. Only issue was the room, please empty your bins between guests !!! Bathroom also needs attention with a deep clean and needs a good shower that has been descaled from lime as it simply didn’t work. Also only got one channel on the TV to work which was disappointing. Reception is also no where to be seen with both checkin and out done by passing staff. However, bed and room very comfortable and had a good sleep.

Complaint of a stained sheet was supposed to have been done but wasn't we was not happy and didn't Like having to sleep in the bed we think we should get money off for the inconvenience.

The rooms are being refurbished which is good news! But not enough checks completed before guests check in. Curtains not closing, heating fuse had blown, to name a few. Standard of cleanliness is good and the hotel team did their best to put things right and find solutions.

We did like the hotel but wasn't pleased with the bedding stain on sheet and we did tell the manager but the sheet was not changed who like to sleep in a stained bed?.

Clean room, comfortable bed,good breakfast, lovely restaurant/bar. we checked in 1.5 hour early hoping for river view but got carpark view instead

Room was ok. We didn't realize that most hotels in London don't have aircon (and this is one of them) so it got hot in the room. It looks like they built the rooms after they built the pub? We had to go through the pub to get to our room. Not a big deal. It's just a little u expected for us.

Lovely hotel. Walls are a little thin so we were woken a few times by other guests coming back. But you expect a degree of that. Lovely food, staff and the room was lovely.

Gorgeous room, lovely staff and lots of additionals you wouldnt expect usually, such as sky, aircon, nespresso machine and even a safe for your belongings. The bathroom was stunning and the shower was amazing to use, especially with the products the hotel provided. Only stayed the one night but will absolutely be using this hotel again in the future.

The room was very clean and we love the design, neat fine touches with a well stocked mini fridge for our convenience. Would have loved the windows to open to a more private serene setting rather than the road. Very comfortable bed and big strong shower, the bathroom is very clean and spacious with enough towels and shampoos. Overall fantastic place to stay, with the restaurant on the lake side, we will be back

We had a good stay, our room was lovely appreciated the decor and beautiful view. We did have to wait a few times at reception when there was no one but asides from that we enjoyed our time there.

We stayed for 1 night over the bank holiday weekend after visiting nearby Thorpe park , the rooms were very spacious and clean . The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable but my 12 year old was so tired it didn’t seem to bother him much - although I think one night was enough maybe a mattress topper could be provided. We arrived around 6.45 pm checked in quickly and was allocated a room overlooking the carpark on the second floor - rooms was quiet and aircon was needed lots of extras like nespresso machine , toiletries iron hair dryer . The shower was powerful and warm . We had lovely meal on the Sunday night although limited choice as lots of options were sold out , it was quiet and the staff were friendly lovely patio area where we could relax with a few drinks . We slept well and a hearty breakfast greeted us in the morning with lots of options. All in all a great stay at a reasonable price would stay again if in the area - would consider others in the chain also

Lovely stay in a welcoming pub. The food was great and the room was spacious and clean!

We were given an un-requested handicap accessible room and the bathroom was terrible. It was a shower room with one drain in the middle of the room. The water went everywhere! My slippers got soaked as did the floor mat. The sink and mirror were too low. The lighting was dim (not good for a man to shave by). Had I realized before we had settled in, I would have asked to change rooms. Additionally, the walls were not thick enough to block out the hallway noise of people talking and doors banging. The pub and food were good. If we had a normal room in a quieter section of the hotel, we would stay there again.

Stayed with my son (10) when we went to Thorpe Park. Rooms are beautiful! They are exceptionally clean with all you need. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful and the food was lovely! Breakfast was delicious sat by the Thames in the sunshine! The atmosphere was lively in the pub in the evening as we stayed on bank holiday weekend. Will definitely be back again and would definitely recommend.

We stayed this weekend with our last stay being 2 years ago to the day. Our last stay was great and we couldn't say enough good things but this time was not the same unfortunately. There was no staff, just two people working the entire pub on a Saturday night so they had to close the restaurant. We had a table booked but were told no table service we had to eat in the pub area and order at the bar which was a shame. Wish we were told this before hand! Due to no staff all of the tables were left with empty plates and glasses on the tables so the place looked dirty. The 2 staff that were working were great and we felt sorry for them, they were doing their best. Our superior room looked good on the surface but as we looked more it wasn't the cleanest room, the pillows were clearly dead and gone with no life in them and the shower gel etc had clearly been there quite some time. we had about 8 plugs in the room and only 2 were working which we did inform reception about but nothing that could be done late at night. At breakfast my booking included breakfast but did not say that there end so i had to show my booking confirmation to prove it which was annoying. Another little thing that just hampered our experience. The staff were all great and the breakfast was great. Dinner was average and not good value for money. The pub was very quiet and the lack of staff makes you question why. Such a shame as we were so excited to come back to this place. We will look elsewhere next time.

Hotel is attached the the pub/restaurant which is great, great comfy rooms, good shower, good breakfast etc all what you would expect at this price point. Just a couple of service niggles, as we where left waiting for check-in for some 15 mins and then drinking in the bar after dinner they stopped serving at 10:30 with no warning, no bell, just 'we have shut up the bar' so we cant serve you.

Booked the hotel for my mother who was visiting a very sick relative in the hospital. Staff were very kind, compassionate, and thoughtful. Mum enjoyed spending time on the patio by the river and the dining was excellent. It really was the best part of her trip!

My partner and I were spending the weekend at Thorpe Park. The location of the hotel was so convenient. The room was lovely and clean. Parking felt safe and secure.

The Bridge hotel is a comfortable English Inn & Pub, part of the Young’s group. Rooms are comfortable, nice amenities and wonderful staff. Great walking area on the Thames.

Great hotel, really convenient location for our trip to Thorpe Park. Lovely friendly staff. The room was clean and felt quite luxurious with some of the nice touches. Parking was easy and felt secure. Would definitely recommend.

It was a nice hotel, but a little farther from London city center.

Nice hotel situated on the river Great breakfast and would recommend if in the area. In easy reach of RHS Wisley and Hampton Court Palace

The last time I stayed at the Bridge Hotel, I gave them a glowing report. Unfortunately, this visit fell short in my expectations. Initially, the issue with the member of staff, as previously reported, has made me question whether I would stay at the hotel again. Equally, the food was quite disappointing: a cold mushroom with melted blue cheese isn't a great combination. What's gone wrong?

Always a nice stay at the bridge, breakfast is great too and the chef will make a vegan version of the veggie breakfast no problem. Staff always nice as well.

We had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and paid to include breakfast. Yet on both mornings they had run out of pastries,when asking if they had more I was quite rudely told no !!! On the first morning there were several options from the menu we were told weren’t available so this left a very limited choice. Unfortunately a couple of our party went without breakfast. Overall the breakfast let the experience down.
