Fantastic stay here for 2 nights. Hotel is located close to both a train and tram stop. The downstairs restaurant was fabulous for both dinner and buffet breakfast. The hotel also offers an indoor pool and whirlpool which was didn’t use as the water temperature was a little cool for us but the steam room was a great way of warming up!

First Time here - from the moment we walked in it was excellent. Great staff - we had a breakfast and parking package - Parking was around 100m away and very easy for 24 hrs of parking from Check in. Breakfast was really good with everything you could want from a buffet. Enjoyed the terrace bar for a mulled wine around the gas fire. Great location - Room was good - had a bath in the bathroom. Would definitely stay again

Really good property, great location at the east end of the cbd. We had a very comfortable stay. Only feedback would be the indoor pool water bring very cold. Secondly, having options for firmer bedding and pillows would really improve guest experience. The mattress in the room was sagging and wobbly at best and pillows were just too soft.

I liked the overall look and feel in the Sheraton although I was supposed to get city view and was instead put on a side wall with the side of a building to look at and a tiny section got a slight view about 12 inches views but the most disappointing thing was I picked the Sheraton because it said it had a pool hot tub and whirlpool, spa and sauna and I know my 84 year old mum loves hot spas but it’s been 25 years since she had her last one so for her 84th birthday I booked a few nights there as she’s never been to Melbourne or been in a plane so To our disappointment there was no hot tub or a whirlpool just a pool and a spa joined together so the temperature of the water was cold and when I first noticed I told reception who told me I get engineer to look at it and when he did apparently he claimed it was 29.5 and there’s no way it was that and more like 19 or 20 then when I said there’s no change and they then said they would contact the engineer again and he claims it now was 32 but there’s no way it was that and just a tad warmer than before so now it was like room water. So obviously mum didn’t go in cause she hates cold water so in the end I asked the front desk if I could get a partial refund as we didn’t get a chance to got

Very convenient location and very friendly staff. The bathroom was dirty and we were moved to a new room which great but that bathroom was dirty too. We didn’t have time to request to move again. Little bit disappointing as the room was quite expensive.

I think I have stayed in better 4 start hotels than this. The room was ok but there was hair on the pillow. The arm chair had a stain, the bathroom was too old, some motels would have better bathrooms, paint chipping off, and the body wash was empty. I called room service 6 times and it remained answered, i complained while checking out to Maleeka, she apologised but didn’t seem to care much.

The Sheraton Melbourne Hotel is housed in an older building, giving it a charming, slightly dim atmosphere that may not appeal to everyone. Our suite was decent; while it lacked the sheen and modernity of newer hotels, the comfort of the bed was a significant plus for me, which is ultimately what matters most. The hotel's location is fantastic, within walking distance of the city's major attractions, and we only needed to use Uber once when we opted to dine at a restaurant in a more distant neighbourhood. The hotel staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, from the reception to the friendly faces in the breakfast restaurant. I want to give a special shout-out to Amanda, who greeted us warmly every morning during breakfast, making our experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast options were quite good, and my wife and I looked forward to it each day of our five-day stay. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Melbourne.

Lovely room, great staff check in and check out very smooth. Terrible view of building next door with view directly into tradies staff room, that was left with lights on all night, was a little confronting when opening the curtains seeking some natural light in the morning to be caught eye to eye with a fellow in a high vis vest!

The facilities are very old, and I didn’t realize it was next to a pub before booking, which caused quite a bit of noise. There is no on-site parking, and I had to pay an additional $35 per day for overnight parking at a public lot across the road. Almost forgot, they also charge extra for credit card payments.

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. The facilities were all kept immaculate, and the food and service were great. They allowed us to store our bags while were shopped after checking out. The view from the room was virtually non-existent, and we were on the top floor, but the comfort and quality made up for this.

Really disappointed in our one night stay. We arrived and checked in at 6pm. The air conditioning was running and the room was cold, made the appropriate adjustments as per the thermostat instructions. Still cold 30min later so we called guest services and someone come to our room and assured he the problem would be resolved. We then went out to a beautiful restaurant for dinner and arrived back to our room to a cold room still at the same temperature. Once again called guest services to make them aware the temperature hadn’t improved. We were then reassured the problem would be resolved and it would take 15min to improve. At 11.30 contacted them again after the phone was unanswered for 15min. Told once again problem would be resolved. Temp was on cold cycle all night and morning and just as we went to check out at 11am the heating come on. Really disappointed to say in 5 star hotel with the cooling on for the entire stay. Explained the situation at check out and got a sorry thanks for staying with us. Poor experience

Hotel overbooked even though I had confirmed booking. Could not stay at the hotel even though I was in the taxi to the hotel and had to muck around trying to find an alternative hotel to stay in with no notice. Sheraton Melbourne Hotel, did not assist with finding alternative arrangements.I tried to contact the hotel directly to make comment, but they did not have a contact email address on their website.Not recommended this time around.

Very comfortable hotel, right in the city centre, near the Parliament building. Staff were excellent. All very professional, friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with our room and it was sorted immediately we made reception staff aware of it. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this property thinking the Sheraton was supposed to be a 5 star hotel well it left a lot to be desired! Only positive’s were location, size of the rooms & cleanliness. The downfall was the attention to details or lack there of; tv was not working consistently & the room phone was broken;handset did not work could only use speaker option. On check in Cheryl was fantastic although did not know layout of rooms so had no idea where the city rooms were located & we had to come back to reception & change rooms & then new room wasn’t exactly city view either. She did offer us complimentary drink on arrival & a drinks voucher which we used but wine served was quite average! Another negative is the lack of staff training; both guest services & concierge had no idea where the nearest medical centre was & told us to go to a pharmacy as there could be a dr there!! They offered no assistance to find one or assist in any way. Concierge had no idea about where the tram stop for free city circle tram 35 was & sent us to wrong place! These things really are things guest services should know. SHERATON get your act together WE WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

The hotel didn’t solve my issue with the charges at the time of checking out…..there should be a $100 plus a refund of the discrepancy…..haven’t heard anything from the hotel yet !!!!!!

Service was not good, room wasn’t ready upon arrival, when we got in our room there was a note from the hotel for a different customer on the table, found a hair in our food and their fix was to get us another plate. Overall nice facilities but service was terrible

Really disappointed in our one night stay. We arrived and checked in at 6pm. The air conditioning was running and the room was cold, made the appropriate adjustments as per the thermostat instructions. Still cold 30min later so we called guest services and someone come to our room and assured he the problem would be resolved. We then went out to a beautiful restaurant for dinner and arrived back to our room to a cold room still at the same temperature. Once again called guest services to make them aware the temperature hadn’t improved. We were then reassured the problem would be resolved and it would take 15min to improve. At 11.30 contacted them again after the phone was unanswered for 15min. Told once again problem would be resolved. Temp was on cold cycle all night and morning and just as we went to check out at 11am the heating come on. Really disappointed to say in 5 star hotel with the cooling on for the entire stay. Explained the situation at check out and got a sorry thanks for staying with us. Poor experience

Blown away by the customer service experience given by each and every person we spoke with. They were amazing and much better than we’ve encountered elsewhere. We will definitely stay here again. Breakfast was excellent and again the service way above our expectations. Thank you to all.

The location is good. The staff is excellent. I just compliment Gina at the front desk. She was sets the benchmark very high. Sam at the front desk is wonderful aswell.

It is in a laneway so not the grand entranve style hotel, but only one street away from trams, pubs, coffee shops and food. All within the free tram zone, which is an excellent service the city of Melbourne provides. Also leas than 2 mins walk to the old trolle tram 35 - melbournes tourism tram - also free - go melbourne

The staff throughout the business were fantastic. In house restaurant food for breakfast and dinner dining was outstanding. No need to eat out if you don't want to. Only let down was quality of the towels in the bathroom. Room itself was a great size as was the bathroom. Great bed and heaps of desk space for working if required. Will definately look to stay here again next time we visit.

Fantastic stay here for 2 nights. Hotel is located close to both a train and tram stop. The downstairs restaurant was fabulous for both dinner and buffet breakfast. The hotel also offers an indoor pool and whirlpool which was didn’t use as the water temperature was a little cool for us but the steam room was a great way of warming up!

We thought the main restaurant at breakfast was NOWHERE NEAR what we would expect at a Sheraton. Perhaps 1 to 2* level. Looked like the staff just rolled up out of bed without any thought of how they should look. Both the make and female staff were mostly ungroomed in appearance. We ordered boiled eggs for one of us and an omelette for myself. The presentation was zero.

Family was looking forward to buffet breakfast, but it was quite small and only average. Hotel faces a carpark. For the price we paid, it did not feel like a 4.5 star hotel. The common areas felt cramped and unimpressive. Nothing was bad, but we did feel disappointed for the price we paid and what we were expecting.

The pool was lovely and clean. Most Staff were very friendly. Parking was super easy. Room was initially not set up to accommodate the number of guests I booked for but was remedied once they were made aware of. Dining options are too restrictive especially if you are vegetarian and we had to retreat to room service as that menu was better suited for that dietary option.But all in all a good stay

Hotel is in a great location, staff are wonderful and amenities good. But I don't like that there is a large window beside the bath facing into the bedroom - even with a pull down blind!

Booked in for staycation to celebrate a special occasion. Was a good stay, but not perfect. On face value, the Sheraton Melbourne is very nice hotel with good leisure facilities (pool, sauna, gym etc). Location - great. Room - spacious, big comfortable bed, but really bad pillows. Sore neck. Also, I went with Sheraton over some other 5 star hotels due to the advertised 'deep soak' tub. Bath tub was good enough but not really deep soak and definitely couldn't fit 2 people for a couples soak. TV only had free to air channels, with a ChromeCast provided for streaming, however was difficult to use due to the poor quality internet. Movies were buffering and painful to watch. Service - appreciated the complimentary gift provided (special occasion), but the note showed a lack of awareness and was offensive. (eg addressed to Mr and Mrs AFTER they saw 2 females checked in)
