Basic clean rooms. We had a suite so extra room you will definitely need if traveling with a family or more than 1 person. No tvs so keep that in mind. Nice laundry facilities and a nice campus to go for walks. Would book again.

Excellent value for the money. It was definitely as advertised. Only issue we had was that the elevator wasn’t functioning when we got there or when we checked out. Everything was clean and basic but we were looking for a place to crash. Air conditioning worked well. Bedding and bed was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again before a flight!

Not in the city centre, but not an issue if driving. We booked a suite which is very spacious. It’s like a bedroom apartment with full kitchen set up. Suggest to provide basic ingredients (e.g. salt, pepper etc.) in the kitchen.

The building was clean and easy to access. The staff were friendly and check in and out were quick. The common area has stove and fridge with toaster and kettle and microwave. There were not pots, pans or utensils or dishes. So bring your own. It was simple and comfortable and the price was very good with free parking.

Overall it was very safe, easily could walk around at night by yourself and leave things in your vehicle. It was quite clean at first but the common space was not cleanted often by staff. Broken beer bottle found underneath the couch, crumbs under the table for days, and if you ran out of paper towel in the common room only some front desk people will actually do something about it others will just write an email. That was one of the worst things about the stay was how flakey certain front desk people could be. Others could be wonderful. Some will make you wait for towels until house cleaning comes by the next day, othes will grab you towels from the back to use in your shower that night. House cleaning does ignore the signs on the door saying do not disturb and will still come in. Also yes you do have access to the common feild to play on but make sure to bring your own equipment because certain front desk users wont let you use the student equipment. As well the kitchen in the common room only has an oven, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and on some floors a kettle (not ours even when we asked). Bring your own utensils, dishes, rags, oven mits, pots, and pans. For the price it was fine but i will look elsewhere next time.

This was a convenient stay for what we needed it for. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. There were blood stains on the ceiling in the main bedroom. The mirrors were all streaky with something And the walls weren’t very clean. Saying that it was good to have a decent amount of space. The staff were friendly, but we didn’t see them beyond check-in.

The rooms did not have any television for the evening. The TV in the common area was difficult to use and or did not work. The pictures on the Expedia site did not line up to the room that I was booked into. However, this day was manageable. Staff was friendly conditions were clean.

We’ve stayed with UBC for many times, and I have recommended this place to friends before. But I think this is the last time we stay here. I understand the ideology of being environmentally friendly. But during our stay, the A/C never got to my target temperature which is within the range that they promised. And the slow flow of water is just ridiculous. It does not reduce water I need to fill my water bottle, it just makes the filling up of bottle a lot longer.

Overall decent. The campus is a bit confusing but it’s nice and walkable. Tho only thing I didn’t/don’t like is the price is a little high for what you get (no refrigerator or microwave like in a motel which makes sense it’s a student dorm) also the walls are a little thin. Everything else was really good. I would stay here again though

Cool concept and rooms, but missing simple hotel basics such as a mini fridge, tv, etc. Room was very clean though, and check in/out was very easy. The water pressure in the showers is a bit much too, it actually kind of hurts lol.

Affordable option to a regular hotel. However, be warned: getting around is pretty inconvenient. Guests are only allowed to park in certain lots, and because there are students still parking around, you're not guaranteed to get one close to your room. The bed and pillow were not very comfortable and the AC unit was right above our heads while we slept, so whenever it went off it was just blowing straight at our faces. It is on a campus that is pretty far away from the rest of the city, so not really a walkable area or close to amenities. You definitely need a car if youre staying here. If you just need a place to sleep, have a car, and youre not picky at all, this works fine, but if you like to be a bit more comfortable, a hotel might be better.

Guests are only allowed to park in certain lots, and because there are students still parking around, you're not guaranteed to get one close to your room. The bed and pillow were not very comfortable and the AC unit was right above our heads while we slept, so whenever it went off it was just blowing straight at our faces. It is on a campus that is pretty far away from the rest of the city, so not really a walkable area or close to amenities. You definitely need a car if youre staying here. If you just need a place to sleep, have a car, and youre not picky at all, this works fine, but if you like to be a bit more comfortable, a hotel might be better.

The dorm room was on the sixth floor and had a lovely view overlooking a field of green space. It was quiet and the bathroom was spacious; the bed was comfortable and I had a perfect good night sleep! So convenient to the airport and the staff are friendly and welcoming!

Probably one of the best places to stay in Kelowna for its value and transportation proximity to downtown and other regions. There's also a number of pleasant hiking trails and the staff always greet you with a smile!

It exceeded our expectations. It was one of the cheapest accommodation we could find. Its was basic but clean and spacious. I can see UBC students enjoying their stay here, as we did. We would definitely stay here again. Need a vehicle as nothing is walkable, and food is in downtown Kelowna.

Can’t beat the price for what you get. There is construction on the campus which made my initial arrival a tiny bit frustrating but the staff and facility were awesome. It’s a little further out but the price more that makes up for that.

Stayed here for one night. Close $15 can ride from airport. Beautiful campus. No cafe or convenient walking distance breakfast option on summer weekends so be aware. Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. Good value.

This was a great location to stay for a couple of nights, and the shared kitchen facilities would accommodate longer stays as well. The only thing we were lacking during our stay was a place to get a bite to eat or a coffee locally. Due to the time we were there nothing on campus was open during our stay, but otherwise if you are looking for a budget option close to the airport or within the UBC campus grounds, this is an excellent and affordable option.

The building was clean and easy to access. The staff were friendly and check in and out were quick. The common area has stove and fridge with toaster and kettle and microwave. There were not pots, pans or utensils or dishes. So bring your own. It was simple and comfortable and the price was very good with free parking.

A great stay that is affordable and no frills as advertised. A pass to the fitness centre would be a great value add instead of having to pay a day fee. There is nothing open for food options on weekends so needed to go out first thing each morning for a coffee. Planned to use the cooking lounge but unfortunately our’s was taken over by a large group so there was no way we could utilize it either night. No fault of facility just how it rolls sometimes. Appreciate the free parking! Thanks UBCO.

Overall, I had a good stay at UBC Okanagan. The room was clean, the campus was beautiful, and the parking was convenient. The only downside was the noise. The soundproofing wasn’t very good, and I could clearly hear the person walking around upstairs until late at night (and even early in the morning). Unfortunately, I couldn’t get much sleep because of it and ended up leaving feeling quite frustrated. I think this may depend on who is staying above you, so it can be a bit of a hit-or-miss experience. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend bringing earplugs or requesting a top-floor room if possible.
