Very friendly reception staff. Clean room. Good price. The gym was nice.

Great stay, did only stay for a weekend, so a shorter stay here is definitely recommended. Only note I have is the hotel not providing parking but other than that, staff, service and facility was great and looking forward to my next stay.

Hotel is okay but it’s in a rough part of Brooklyn. If a hair dryer is needed, you will need to ask the front desk. Street parking only.

Easy check-in, clean room, very comfortable bed! Train noise was mild, I didn't mind it, bring ear plugs if you're sensative. Plenty of street parking. I would stay again.

We were there visiting family for the holiday, mostly just a place to sleep. We would have liked to have some better coffee in the morning, but everything else was good. My husband appreciated the weight room, was able to get a couple workouts in. We stayed on the 1st floor and the subway noise was not an issue.

Clean, comfortable room like one at the Holiday Inn it used to be. Rahul at the front desk gets tons of praise in other reviews and it's well deserved! He is exceptionally welcoming, professional, attentive & friendly. Be warned: if you get a room facing the subway tracks, you will frequently hear loud trains rumbling by at all hours of day & night. Weekend nights are a little quieter. Neighborhood has a gritty charm to it. Generally safe but you'll need to be okay with the grime, the trash & the noise. Very close to the subway station and tons of restaurants, delis, cafes close by. Sparse offerings at this hotel: wonderfully strong coffee offered every morning but with only subpar non-dairy creamer powder if you take yours with cream. 24-hour hot water available in the lobby with exactly one type of tea: Bigelow's Green tea. Great fitness room in the basement. Small microwave & bar fridge in rooms but no coffee maker. Also, we had to request a hairdryer and there was only trash can in the room.

I got this hotel to have a self care weekend it’s not listed at all that they just opened or anything the room they did not clean it the whole weekend . They did not have tv access in my room and told me they would fix it i didn’t have a tv the whole weekend terrible terrible experience with no access to the gym either i paid full price for a weekend i sleep on dirty sheets for 2 days

Clean comfortable room. AC worked great. Bodega close by since they have no shop or vending

The TVs would benefit from having internet connection. The lack of internet on the television made it impossible to stream things like Netflix which was inconvenient. However they did have an antenna so at least we could watch The Nanny. Staff was amazing. Five stars to every employee that was encountered.

There was blood on the bathroom wall. Room wasn’t clean either. Can hear the train noise no matter what room you pick

While the property at first site looks inviting and the staff is very friendly. Once settled into our room we realized we had an issue . I full grown roach was in the bathroom , and one was in the bed. The staff was apparently used to the complaint as they only offered to have housekeeping come spray the room

I had a great stay. The staff was welcoming, the lobby was clean and bright. The room was clean, spacious for a NY hotel, and the bed comfortable. The raised subway noise wasn't too bad, sort of muffled, so I was able to get to sleep easily and stay asleep. It was a great value for the price. I will come back whenever I need to stay in the area. FYI: There's no conditioner in the shower.

I found this place to have a very convenient location, with a lot of places to eat nearby. I enjoyed my stay overall, but unfortunately, the room had a strange smell. Additionally, the bathroom tub was not properly cleaned, as there was a lot of hair in it and on the floor. On the good side, the receptionist was very friendly!

I stayed for one night and had a good experience. The property was clean throughout, including the room and beds, which were spotless and stain-free. The mattress were comfortable, and I had no issues during my stay. The location is also a big plus — just a short walk from the subway, making it very convenient for commuting.

The room was spotless. I was particularly impressed with the bathroom.

1) Expedia has done poor job in due diligence for the property. 2) This was in the absolute slums of Brooklyn. a) We were harassed by homeless people every time we entered & left hotel daily. There was NO hotel Security. b) The hotel is directly next to an above ground subway rail that ran trains every 20 minutes day & night. c) The hotel has signs stating 100% 'non smoking', but the 4th floor was a pot den! It reeked of marajuana the entire stay. When we complained to front desk they said there was nothing they could do. d) While the rooms were clean overall we did find 1 cockroach on the wall in room 411. e) The hotel offered coffee & tea, but 2 days there were no cups! The front desk couldn't leave desk. The day crew were terrible! UGH! f) Room keys kept desensitizing. We had to go down stairs at least 10 times to get keys programmed. We had managers accompany us w/ master key to verify the issue, right after giving us new keys. It was incredibly inconvenient! g) My son & his wife visited on their bikes & locked them in the front of Hotel with dual chains & kryptonite lock. They got stolen. When we asked for hotel assistance w/ cameras that were located on the hotel building, they gave us 2 different stories. The Mgr said the cameras belong to Police dept. We called police & they told us they do not put cameras on private bldgs. What is hotel hiding? It was a holiday weekend. We had 4 rooms for 5 days and were stuck at location. Expedia

Pretty good hotel. Corner rooms are bigger so that was great for my family. Close to train so its a little noisy. Only issue was housekeeping didn't come until 5

The room was great. Staff were great. Would stay there again IF (big if) I could be guaranteed a room on the backside of the hotel. As other reviews mention, the frontside of the building was maybe 50ft from the train tracks for the subway. You will hear subway trains passing every 20-25mins. Other than that, everything with the stay was great.

It is literally steps from the J, which made it so convenient and helped me save lots of $$$ on taxis and other transportation. The manager was friendly and helpful, and when we requested to change our room d/t noise, she did it with no questions asked and the new room was perfect. It is on Broadway which is a busy street, however, we slept soundly and I felt safe walking around the neighborhood at night. Sancho Panza, a terrific restaurant, is an quick walk for a delicious dinner. Take a longer stroll and go have breakfast at Good Old Days diner in Bed Stuy. The lobby is bright and clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower had a rain shower head, we were glad we stayed there. Thank you!

Knob that switches from tub to shower was broken, tv didn’t have cable, window was broken and stuck open

The hotel itself is nice & the surrounding property has greatly improved so the 3-stars given was due to the bathroom conditions. The lighting in the bathroom is better suited for a candlelit dinner- almost impossible to properly shave for a man and very difficult for a woman to apply her makeup. The shower curtain is about two sizes too small which allows for the water to spill onto the floor. Then as you shower, most of the water flows out of the bottom spigot as opposed to the shower head which then allows for the water to pool massively in the tub. There is no small magnifying mirror in the bathroom either. The staff was great and the lobby and room were clean.

Do not come here. This is a horrible hotel. They gave us a room where the windows didn’t close. In June. The heat at night is not ok, the noise from the street even worst. We came for a one night stay, and when we aked help for the window, the staff said “we’ll have somebody fix it tomorrow”. No support, not even a “sorry”. They only said they were fully occupied. Paid USD 200 for a noisy and hot room. And frankly, they knew this window was broken, its clear from any angle. Again, do not stay here.

This hotel *just* opened - it could be very nice someday. Until then they should maybe give some deep discounts, as it's a woefully unfinished space. It was previously the well-reputed Holiday Inn express, a basic hotel with a great breakfast. It's now super clean and nicely refurbished, they just haven't really... finished it. There is no breakfast. There is NO COFFEE. None. Not in the room. Not downstairs. Not even hot water for tea. Not even a spare sugar packet. Good luck with your morning. The staff is very pleasant and tries to be helpful - the issues are not their fault. Management alert! This hotel is *not* ready! Our room was boiling, with both AC - and heat! ‐ set to 90! The thermostat barely worked to lessen this. But the worst and scariest thing, as many have mentioned, is that all the windows seem to be venting (they all open), none seem to have screens, and many seem to malfunction, to the point of being wildly unsafe. For the love of god, don't take your kids here! One of ours couldnt be locked without serious finagling, and the window limiter on the other fell right off on first use, so that thing could just swing wide open with nothing to stop it. I was able to fix it temporarily (I used to work for a window company) but I warned the staff it would happen again. They said they were sending someone to fix, but I saw no signs of that. Please, management, do better! PS, the J line has major construction going on, but the rooms on the side are quiet enough.

This is a good hotel stay. There was a staff member who worked the front desk who would take long times to complete requests. I asked for some towels on Saturday when I walked through the front on the way to my room, then an hour later I had to call down to follow up with my initial request. I called back a 2nd time about another hour later then finally he sent someone to drop off the towels. This was frustrating because I ended up missing my dinner reservation. On Sunday I requested new towels and toilet paper in person with the same guy at the front desk around 12 noon thinking at least it’s well before dinner time. I even took a nap woke up a couple hours later and still none of the items I requested showed up. I called down to the front desk the same guy answered saying someone would bring them up. An hour or so later I called back and reached a lovely lady I should have gotten her name because she said the items would arrive in 5 minutes and they did. Everyone other than the one chubby guy who delayed my requests was nice and I would recommend.

Just steps from the train and wonderful "city" shopping and dining. Clean room, clean lobby, quiet floor. Wonderful front desk help with Paul and Raul. Can't wait to come back here.

Everyone on staff was genuinely nice and accomodating. They let us check in early (for a fee) and check out a bit late. Raul was really kind and watched our bags after we cheked out, as we had time to kill before our flight home.

Staff was great facility was very clean. One of the staff named Peter helped me arrange a flower delivery for my anniversary and the supervisor Raul was great as well. Very nice gem for a reasonable price when traveling in New York.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The subway train was noisy at times but other than that I enjoyed my stay. My thanks to the managers Raoul and Hannah and the front desk staff Peter and George, they were all attentive to my special request. Next time in I am in the area, I will definitely stay at Hotel 1200.

One of our team members, who is a Black woman reported to HR that she was publicly humiliated by a man at the front desk during check in. It was over a hidden fee that we could not find a policy for on the hotel website. Called to talk to manager , left our number , no call back or concern. Unfortunately , Hotel 1200 does not treat Black guests with respect or even care when there are complaints about racist behavior. We will not book our team members here again. #TravelingWhileBlack

This hotel was conveniently located for me, but what made it stand out was the staff. They were very accommodating when I needed to work a bit in the lobby the day I arrived and came over to let me know when my room was ready. They were also just generally pleasant and kind people. Will def stay here again

The staff that assisted us throughout our stay were just amazing and so polite and helpful. Special shoutout to Dyer such a special and kind person and had the patience to answer any and all questions we had. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to spend time in the area. Dyer once again you’re amazing!!!

the room was very clean. the staff was available 24/7. they even held our bags for us because our flight was way after checkout time. so close to the train!! would def stay here again. rauhl was very helpful too.

Picked this location to attend a wedding in Brooklyn. It was not the best area.

I was in town for a wedding. The check in and out was quick. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is a quick half block walk to the subway which made getting to the train station easy. If you're a light sleeper, know that the subway can be heard from the hotel. Didn't bother me though. The reception desk personnel were friendly and helpful in calling cabs for me to get to the wedding events.

Located in Bed-Sty right on the J-line (Kosciusko station), out from “downtown” a little bit, but convenient transportation to the center of Brooklyn and Manhattan (about 30 minutes). Hotel was updated in the last few years and is clean with some of the requisite noise related to a busy street (Broadway).

Great location, the hotel is right next to the Kosciuszko St Station. The downside is the noise that you would hear if you are a light sleeper.

This stay was great. My flight got cancelled so I need to find something quick. This was a great option. It was clean smells good and beds were comfortable. I will warn you the subway is right outside your window so if your a light sleeper I would ask for a room on the sides or towards the back. There is a Dominican restaurant a block down by the subway station which was delicious!!!! And a neighborhood coin laundry 5 blocks behind the hotel with the nices staff I have meet. Great place!

We enjoyed our stay. Checking in was easy and the staff were accomodating but we didn't realize they didn't serve breakfast even though there are signs in the lobby that point to where the breakfast area is served. We stayed at this same hotel back in 2021 and they did breakfast then so it must be a new company/owner.

Everything was good. No hassle. Close to subways. Many restaurants to choose from.

Hotel was easy to access and close to public transportation. There is also an amazing breakfast place Bon Jour with amazing croissants and breakfast baguettes. Just down the road is also a New York style pizzeria, where we got a few slices and it was awesome as well.
