La Sosta di Ottone III

Aussergewöhnliche Unterkunft überhalb von Levanto (ca. 15 Min) in einem Weiler mit "nix". Das Haus und die gehobene Einrichtung bestechen mit chiquer Einfachheit was ein wunderschönes "Bendant" zur herrlichen Umgebung und Aussicht ist. Das Restaurant hat uns verwöhnt und wir haben die erholsamen Stunden nach den Wanderungen in der 5-Terre genossen.

Proprietor Angela was delightful. Happy hour on terrace with a fantastic view very special. Don’t be dissuaded by need to use monorail to bring bags up….there is a walkway thru the village that we took everytime after arrival. Explore Levanto & Borrasso too.

We had an unplanned doctor visit in the morning of our check-in day that delayed everything planned in our day. I received a call from Angela around 6 pm saying that we were late for our check in and she'd leave notes for us. She reminded me that there is a roughly 100 meters of upheel walk and stairs. Then I realized my mother-in-law joined our trip last minutes and we had totally forgotten about this part. I asked Angela if there was a wheelchair I could use for my mother-in-law. She paused and said "we've got a problem" as the path is not suitable for elderly with mobility issues. She was so generous to stay until 7:30 pm for us so she can run the monorail for my mother-in-law. The monorail is for luggages only but can accomodate two people if needed. Angela was so kind and we were so grateful for her staying late evening to help us with the situation. My wife and I would go back to their place (no parents this time, lol). The place is located on top of the village and is very peaceful.

Absolutely perfect, very close to the crowds of 5 Terre but so peaceful and quiet
