Very large modern room, comfortable for families. Good sized bathroom and shower and hair dryer in the room. There is a nice restaurant downstairs, but also several restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Also good parking at the hotel.

This is a nice, newly refurbished hotel. The rooms are very functional but clean and comfortable. Parking was fine and the area was quiet at night. Good places to eat very close by. Staff friendly and helpful. One problem - our room was very hot, even though the weather wasn’t. Thankfully two fans were provided which helped. Room ventilation was a problem, resulting in our room being hot and stuffy even with the window open.

We had a brief overnight stay between Edinburgh and Skye. The Hotel was clean and conveniently located. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Only area that was a little disappointing was that the bar was basically an adjunct to the dining room and had nowhere to sit other than at the empty dining tables which didn’t make for a cozy pub feeling - but maybe that wasn’t the intent.

Modern with excellent room but no loo brush. No lift and room on second floor for lugging luggage up stairs although help was offered. No evening meal as no chef. Italian style restaurant next door. Breakfast expensive for what was on offer. Hotel very close to loch cruises which was very convenient. Parking limited so bag space early.

The hotel was very quiet and quaint. The breakfast was good and Ample. There is no lift between floors but the staircase was quite good. There was enough parking for the guests.

The manager was very kind checking us in, and I felt very well taken care of staying with my two daughters here. It was nice having 2 bathrooms in our room. Beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. I was sad that their restaurant was closed at night for dinner; we would have liked to have eaten there. I was also sad that breakfast wasn’t included.

family holiday for 2 adults and 4 young children. friendly staff. spacious room with 2 clean ensuite bathrooms. however heating not working so was cold at night. also bed linen was stained with ? semen. had to sleep on the top of the king sized beds. was unable to sleep in the single beds.

Received a warm welcome from the manager . The room was pretty basic but very clean . Tea and coffee provided and shower gel / soap .We had an overnight stop here on the way up to Inverness and it was fine for that. We didn’t eat here but the restaurant was very busy so I assume it must be popular.

We loved this place! It was clean amd spacious, the staff were soooo helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was the best we had during our time in Scotland. The train station is less than a block away. It was a fabulous stay!

The room was big and clean. It also came with a dining table and 4 chairs which was very useful. An unexpected surprise was the 2 bathrooms in the room which was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately our room didn't have AC and we were there in a heatwave. It was sweltering hot. Trying to sleep with the windows open and the noisy bar opposite was difficult. Woke up feeling exhausted.

Stayed one night as we had a wedding nearby. Our family of five had the 6bed family room. Modern, clean, spacious , 2 bathroom. Very happy with the room. Took breakfast next morning - lovely. Paid for what you ordered. Children happy. Couldn’t have asked for more. Great value.

The location was good. The only negative was the quality of the mattresses. I sought out twin beds because i was travelling with my adult daughter! We would have preferred double beds for each of us but twins are the only option to have separate beds however they lack the level of luxury like a pillow top or more coils that you typically find in full size beds.

Isabel checking us in was friendly, quick and couldnt have been more helpful. The room was clean, newly renovated, well appointed and a good size for our family of 6. Perfect location too as we could walk around town and to the river for our cruise.

Arrived before check-in time and met by Des who allowed us to leave bags with hotel to go off and explore. Very friendly man and made us feel welcome. Hotel had everything we needed, tea and coffee in room. Double room with a king size bed. En suite was a bit small but didn't bother us as long as clean. Towels changed and bed made daily. Good restaurant and friendly staff, always had time for a chat. 5 mins walk from Balloch St and bus stops. Sweeneys Loch cruises 5 minutes walk . We had no car so very easy to use local public transport. Plenty of restaurants/pubs in the area - a big Co-op too if you need bits. We were at the front of the hotel and whilst on a main road, it wasn't that busy or too noisy for sleeping. We went in May ( to avoid midges ) so may be busier in the summer months . May was a good time of the year to go, no crowds . Would certainly recommend this hotel when visiting Loch Lomond and the surrounding area.

It was a pleasure to have reception staff on arrival actually give time to inform us of various things such as thermostat controls etc rather than Here's your key thanks Wonderful experience which actually stood out as it's the sort of service you just don't seem to get anymore It was a very quick overnight stay over for us so we didn't experience any of the facilities but all looked very pleasant tje room was very well presented clean and up to date definitely recommended

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to train station. Short walk to grocery store and local bus to Balmaha. A bit of a walk to the main bus to Fort Williams. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

The place was very quiet and central to everything we wanted to see/do. The restaurant menu was a little sparse but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. It was warm when we were there and there's no a/c so we made due with the 2 fans provided. Our daughter's room next door was nowhere near as warm so not sure what was up with that?? People could not have been more friendly/helpful.
The place was very quiet and central to everything we wanted to see/do. The restaurant menu was a little sparse but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The hotel was really friendly and in a prime location for restaurants bars and river cruises. The rooms were modern clean and spacious but had little furniture or anywhere to put your case. Just a small moan.

Modern with excellent room but no loo brush. No lift and room on second floor for lugging luggage up stairs although help was offered. No evening meal as no chef. Italian style restaurant next door. Breakfast expensive for what was on offer. Hotel very close to loch cruises which was very convenient. Parking limited so bag space early.

The manager was very kind checking us in, and I felt very well taken care of staying with my two daughters here. It was nice having 2 bathrooms in our room. Beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. I was sad that their restaurant was closed at night for dinner; we would have liked to have eaten there. I was also sad that breakfast wasn’t included.

Unfortunately, they only had one fan. It was quite warm in the room. The kitchen wasn’t open for breakfast due to something and the internet was down. None of that was their fault.

We loved this place! It was clean amd spacious, the staff were soooo helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was the best we had during our time in Scotland. The train station is less than a block away. It was a fabulous stay!

And air vent was just outside our window and noisy. Banging noises from the restaurant below. The breakfast service was inadequate. Menu item not available due to lack of ingredients. And the service slow.

A very enjoyable 4 night stay, v comfortable beds, good sized room for family of 4. v clean, good tea/coffee facility in room. close to everything. train station just up the road. Staff v pleasant and helpful. Bar and restaurant excellent but unfortunately meals only served until 4pm during the week. V accommodating and lovely staff and manager as we arrived as a party of 26 looking for evening meal on the Friday evening with no reservation and nothing was too much trouble , service was excellent and food delicious. would highly recommend staying or dining here.

Great location, and room was good, but on the third floor with no lift. No offer of help with my luggage. Was told on arrival that no food was available throughout my stay . My TV had no signal, and wouldn’t pick up any of the free view channels. I reported it to reception twice, but it wasn’t fixed.

3 week trip in the UK and this property had the best bed of any of the hotels and bnbs that we stayed in! Absolutely recommend this space and there is an amazing breakfast right next door. Check in/out was an absolute breeze. 10/10

Confusion at check in - I had requested a ground floor room due to our age and reduced mobilty, but there wasn't one available (despite booking nearly a month ago it was not reserved) we were allocated one on the first floor. Went to the room only to find it was already occupied! Back to reception who after a while was able to sort a room - on the second floor! Apologies but no other option. The reception lady did carry one of our bags for us. The room itself was fine, but the stairs were a problem and we were there for two nights so up and down several times. We managed but not good. We had to carry our bags down on check out - no help then. The cost was quite expensive bearing in mind room only, there was a cafe/restaurant/bar but no food as the chef had walked out apparently a few weeks ago and they've not been able to recruit a replacement.
