Put in a room off the lake despite being adversities as lakeview room. Hotel had vacancies in rooms in main hotel overlooking the lake but insisted on £10 extra to put me there. No complimentary upgrade for hotels.com gold member!?! Hotel booked for views, location and sauna but as I arrived at 5pm, I was told health club & sauna closed at 4.45pm and won’t open until 10am????? No indication of this on the hotels.com page. Nice hotel but not the experience I thought was on offer! 👎👎👎 disappointing

Fabulous location and the Spa is a must to visit during your stay. We’ll return but maybe when there are fewer midges about, I’m sure it would be a loverly winter weekend break

Overall nice, clean and modern hotel with great loch views. Limited breakfast offering with the picky detail of having to book a table in advance. Parking available but can be difficult on some occasions. Spa treatments available are quite limited and expensive. Overall nice weekend stay but price/quality ratio is just average.

Was lovely food was nice however the spa i tried to book a massage for my for my wife and there was none but was empty when we used the supposed spa wich compromised of a sauna and a steam room wich i had to pay 20 each to use not happy about that

I really enjoyed the trip the only thing that was disappointing was the cost of the spa facilities and the fact there is no pool now. I have stayed here awhile ago hence why I went back to find out. It’s £20 per person each to now use the sauna & steam room. I think the rooms are expensive enough without a charge on top of it to use the spa facilities.

Pictures online showed a pool which the hotel no longer has. We had a small child which we picked the hotel based on this for. The view from the balcony was lovely but the bathroom had a musty smell and the restaurant could use some improvements.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, rooms are amazing and bed extremely comfortable. Views across the loch are simply stunning and we excitedly woke up to the most amazing sunrise. Beautiful balcony to sit and relax too. Staff are very friendly and attentive, can’t do enough for you which was really nice. We enjoyed our stay so much it might just become an annual visit. Amber Rose spa is lovely and we enjoyed a massage and thermal spa experience. Food was delicious and breakfast was great with lots of choice. Really wonderful hotel with evidently a lot of thought put into what guests are looking for. Short walk into Luss village with some lovely shops. We would very much recommend this hotel for a getaway, just wish we could have stayed longer. Enjoy

We loved this resort! The Spa with a view of the Loch right from the Sauna made us choose the resort and it was lovely! The restaurant is also exceptional with great dinner and breakfast. We also enjoyed Scotch whisky at the fireplace. The staff were nice and pleasant. This is a walking distance from the Luss village. We also took a paddling tour of the Loch. This place is wonderful.

Overall a good hotel in a lovely location. It was easy to get to by car from Glasgow Airport, and had plenty of parking. The front of house staff were pleasant and professional, although not overly welcoming or friendly. Restaurant and bar staff however were more engaging with customers. Food and drinks were good, and of high standard, with a reasonable choice if staying for a few days. The surrounding area is beautiful, although as we were visiting out of season, a number of the attractions were closed. The hotel has invested in a new spa facility, although one main criticism is that there is an additional charge for hotel residents to use it - considering the cost of the accommodation, and additional spend you're likely to make at the venue, the additional hourly rate expected to use the regular spa facilities seemed excessive and not necessary. The room we had was fine, with a good view over the Loch, although was in need of refurbishment. Indeed while we visited, the builders were refurbing rooms on our floor (without causing disruption to guests, I should add). Overall a good venue, although could make a few adjustments to improve and meet expectations for a property of this cost.

First with the good... views of the loch and mountains beyond are out of this world and worth staying there for that reason only. In fact Im sure thats what people do as I cannot understand a 4* assignment. I would rate 2* max. Reception was cordial but not friendly, that was throughout my stay (apart from cleaning staff who were really amazing). Having said that the hotel is badly in need of refurb. Beds were ok, carpets dirty especially in the corridors where it seems there was an overlay of previous carpet. When you walk on that it is bouncy and unsteady. Serious scoff marks on all walls in the corridor (nasty). Bathroom floor grout was badly damaged and around the toilet there was a stink of pee. This is all a big shame as this hotel has so much potential ! I guess the view is worth everything.

Lovely hotel and facilities, the view of the loch is spectacular and peaceful. The room was very clean and comfortable, the only minor negative is the extractor fan didn’t work in the toilet and there was no window. The restaurant and food was amazing, breakfast, great choice and beautifully made. The staff were all really nice and welcoming, the waiting staff really nice, but special mention to our waitress Mara, she served us with a lovely big smile. Would definitely go back.

Brilliant hotel. Very professional,friendly and helpful, from the initial contact with the reception staff, restaurant servers right to the housekeeping and the handyman.Food quality was absolutely lovely and all locally sourced, from the steaks, fish and even the local bakery. The room was very clean, large and comfortable, with a spotless balcony and a wonderful view. I'm very picky but found no problem with any of the above. One small point arose on our stay, the fire alarm test was on the Tuesday at 1.10pm. Might be a good idea to tell the residents that, just in case some are having an after lunch "siesta". Apart from that loved it

We booked an overnight stay just as a way of relaxing. The executive double room we booked was spotless, very spacious and well equipped. The balcony was a nice place to sit. Just a shame the weather didn’t cooperate. We had dinner at Colquhouns restaurant and the food was spectacular. Everything cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

The location on Loch Lomond couldn’t be better. The view was fantastic. The bar and restaurant service and food were excellent. The hallways, stairs, and rooms were a little tired.

Very comfortable hotel, with rooms facing the Loch, and watching the sunrise from the room is pretty special. The village of Luss is also a great attraction and really friendly with hiking trails and great dining options.

Hotel stay was ok good views location etc, breakfast let it down plus if any mobility issue having a shower is a issue as you need to climb into the bath to shower, breakfast full scottish was big let down had better at a greasy spoon cafe very poor standard foe hotel, had issue witj broken spring catching my leg thankfully no damage reported to receptionist on checking out as only noticed on heading to bed,

The shower is very user unfriendly. We shared a balcony with next door who happens to be quarrelling very loudly till very late into the night. Breakfast was mediocre, it feels like a hotel for group tour but I guess there aren’t many choices for hotel in this village.

The location on Loch Lomond couldn’t be better. The view was fantastic. The bar and restaurant service and food were excellent. The hallways, stairs, and rooms were a little tired.
The location on Loch Lomond couldn’t be better. The view was fantastic. The bar and restaurant service and food were excellent. The hallways, stairs, and rooms were a little tired.

Room was advertised as having a loch view (in Munro block) - the view was overwhelmingly of a car park. When I mentioned this in passing to reception staff, I was given a frosty and obviously well-rehearsed sales pitch for more expensive suites in another block. If a nice view is important to you, get other accommodation. The room was very good and excellently presented. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. Don't bother with breakfast, ours was very poor, in contrast to dinner which was more expensive than it ought to have been, but good.

Brilliant hotel. Very professional,friendly and helpful, from the initial contact with the reception staff, restaurant servers right to the housekeeping and the handyman.Food quality was absolutely lovely and all locally sourced, from the steaks, fish and even the local bakery. The room was very clean, large and comfortable, with a spotless balcony and a wonderful view. I'm very picky but found no problem with any of the above. One small point arose on our stay, the fire alarm test was on the Tuesday at 1.10pm. Might be a good idea to tell the residents that, just in case some are having an after lunch "siesta". Apart from that loved it

On arrival found the receptionist cold and basic I room broken chair on balcony beautiful views , was a bit put off by the dogs in the restaurant I’m fully aware this is dog friendly but as a dog owner myself I don’t want to be listen to dogs bark at each other all through my meal . Breakfast was terrible basic buffet had to wait in a queue for a cup of coffee with my cup ! While my already cold breakfast got colder what happened Tuesday to be a pleasure to stay

Glass topped tables meant my plate was sliding about as I cut through my steak, I would have expected a tablecloth at a high class restaurant. The bottle of wine I had was nice enough but not what I had ordered. Breakfast was nice, however our table was cleared as we went to get some tea, this left me feeling cost cutting and being rushed was more important than guest comfort. Score 7.5 out of 10.

The hotel was gorgeous with stunning views! It was disappointing the way the reception staff was rude! The rest of the staff were amazing! Only had an issue with checking in when it was implied i fraudulently booked because i couldnt locate my bank card.

Very comfortable hotel, with rooms facing the Loch, and watching the sunrise from the room is pretty special. The village of Luss is also a great attraction and really friendly with hiking trails and great dining options.

The views of Loch Lomond from the room and restaurant were magnificent. The restaurant, and accomodation in the modern Lodge, were excellent. The staff were helpful. Visiting the lovely village of Luss and getting on a boat trip of Loch Lomond were an easy short walk from the hotel.

A beautiful place at a lovely location. The lodge is situated on the lake with beautiful views. The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is well deserving of its 4 star rating by the tourist bureau. I jist we had more time to stay longer and enjoy the activities.

Lovely hotel and facilities, the view of the loch is spectacular and peaceful. The room was very clean and comfortable, the only minor negative is the extractor fan didn’t work in the toilet and there was no window. The restaurant and food was amazing, breakfast, great choice and beautifully made. The staff were all really nice and welcoming, the waiting staff really nice, but special mention to our waitress Mara, she served us with a lovely big smile. Would definitely go back.

Great location - we had a room with a wonderful view of the Loch. Food, prepared using local produce, was excellent and good value. Would definitely recommend this hotel and may well stay again if we are travelling in the area.

Hotel stay was ok good views location etc, breakfast let it down plus if any mobility issue having a shower is a issue as you need to climb into the bath to shower, breakfast full scottish was big let down had better at a greasy spoon cafe very poor standard foe hotel, had issue witj broken spring catching my leg thankfully no damage reported to receptionist on checking out as only noticed on heading to bed,

I have travelled a lot in the UK all over, and I haven’t had such a perfect place, perfect accommodation with fare pricing of their delicious food. Kudos to the friendly and vibrant restaurant and hotel staff members.

We booked an overnight stay just as a way of relaxing. The executive double room we booked was spotless, very spacious and well equipped. The balcony was a nice place to sit. Just a shame the weather didn’t cooperate. We had dinner at Colquhouns restaurant and the food was spectacular. Everything cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

The hotel room was lovely, we had a balcony over looking the loch, the room was equipped with a nespresso so it was nice to sit with a coffe overlooking views. The staff were very polite the food was not all that great and a bit overpriced for the quality, we were going to.order a dessert but the staff took too long to.come back to our table and ask us if we would like to order.

Really enjoyed the stay clean room breakfast was very good. Staff were insistent on a timeslot for it but the food flies out the kitchen in no time. Signage for the second building isnt clear on the outside of it only shows it has room 40 something and not the rest of the rooms. Will definitely be back though

The hotel is in a beautiful location by the lake, and the setting is stunning. Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing. Our first night was great, but on the second night we were kept awake by a very loud group of people in the room next to ours. They were constantly shouting and slamming doors. I reported the noise to reception at around 8:30 pm, but the receptionist simply said they would probably quieten down later in the evening. Unfortunately, the noise continued, and I had to return to reception for a second time before it was finally dealt with. I wasn’t able to get to sleep until around 11:30 pm. We had also booked dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. After placing our order, we waited 45 minutes only to be told there had been a mix-up and our food hadn’t even been prepared. Although the staff apologised, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. On a positive note, the breakfast was lovely. It was cooked to order from a menu, and the quality of the food was excellent. Overall, while the location and breakfast were highlights, the poor handling of the noise disturbance and the disappointing restaurant experience meant our stay did not meet expectations.
