Good bar and Indian/Asian themed restaurant, accompanied by wonderful staff and good food. Rooms are clean, with tea making facility, good size flat screen tv, etc. Negatives: Duvet could be larger. No toilet brush. Hair dryer available but only upon request. Overall, we enjoyed a two night stay.

Slightly unusual with an eastern flavour. In house Indian restaurant and the food was really good. They do some English food, one of our party had fish and chips which was very good. Restaurant closes at 10.30 ish. Rooms good, clean, very good shower. Good parking on site.

No heating in bedroom when we arrived. No heating at all in bathroom. Really comfortable bed. Very helpful member of staff bought extra duvet and blanket. Gurkha dining room - very large portions and charming staff. Overall, very basic and bland hotel.

The hotel was ok, that’s about it. Extremely dated, very cold in the building with the smell of both damp and Indian food. The rooms on arrival were clean but freezing and the heating system is outdated ineffective. This being said, for a clean place to say with low expectations, it’s fine

We were initially swayed by the ample parking. However, we were very pleased with the friendly welcome. The room was clean and well appointed. A nice bar and great Indian style restaurant, with delicious food completed the package.

I went for a night away for my partners birthday. I’d put in a request a bottle of Prosecco to be put in our room and Debbie who messaged me back was happy to do that for me. I’d then received a message the day of our reservation that our room had been upgraded to their bridal suite complementary. I can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay so enjoyable, we will definitely be back. The room was spotless

very friendly ladies at the front desk. Room was very clean, and my only gripe was that the Body/Hand wash dispenser in the shower was empty - nobody likes getting out of the shower to find soap from the sink. Restaurant was great. As an American, Nescafe does not count as morning coffee though!

The drawers in the bedroom were dirty, especially where the hairdryer is kept - full of coffee stains and hair. When you closed the bathroom door the corner of the room was full of someone else's bodyhair. The room also had an overpowering smell of Jeyes fluid.

Overall experience wasn't that great, room looked like it needed refurbishing, the bathroom needs some plumbing work due to the shower head spraying out the back, hitting the ceiling and inturn flooding the bathroom / soaking anything within a 5 ft radius. Towels had to be used to stem the flood from encroaching any further. For the price and reviews, i expected better.

The flush on the toilet did not work. The restaurant was cold at breakfast and the breakfast was not good. The building was also very cold when we left in the morning and there was no receptionist as we left. The office was closed.

the restaurant offered any one type of food, therefore had to drive a couple miles to a different location. The breakfast was very poor, we had to pre-order the night before including the time, still had to wait another 20 minutes, every seemed to be deep fat fried.

Very dated room needs updating. Had breakfast sent to my room which had not been ordered. Very poor breakfast options.

The hotel is a little dated and tired, but clean. The wifi was patchy. Receptions staff very friendly. Lovely indian meal, but sadly the breakfast was very average. For £12 I expected proper coffee, not nescafe sachets and hot water. The toast was very thin, cheap sliced bread. Just a few tweaks would make it so much better.

Sad to see the place was a little underused. However the staff were very kind and helpful, and the room was perfectly adequate for the purpose of a budget overnighter room only. Basic accommodation but room was clean and a nice big telly was comfortably positioned. Would not hesitate to book again if on a budget.

I thought I was booking a quaint and characterful hotel, instead what I got was a dilapidated and rundown, dirty hotel. No restaurant in the evening, just jacket potatoes available to pre-order. Someone else’s pubes all over the toilet, mouldy shower and curtains that didn’t even cover the windows… and my room was an executive suite. Avoid at all costs

Received an email a few days before our booking advising that the restaurant and bar were only open Monday to Saturday from 5pm to 8pm and only food was jacket potato with a variety of fillings. They did give details of 4 pubs/restaurants in the area. We decided to have a drink and give the jacket potatoes a go. There was no draught beer available just bottled beer. No soda water, was offered pellegrino instead. Jacket potato fillings were: curry sauce; cheese; baked beans; coleslaw; tuna; and something with chick peas. First choice of curry sauce turned out to be off the menu. Continental breakfast turned out to be fruit juice, tea/ coffee; a choice of 4 cereals and 1 1/2 slices of toast per person which arrived ready buttered and there was a choice of jam portions to go with it. All in all very disappointing, it felt like the place was being run down
