Woodlands Country House & Cottage

Rooms are separate from the main building and so are quiet and private. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was very large. The staff are the owners and were very friendly and helpful. We had booked dinner and it was amazing although there is no choice of menu. There was a choice for breakfast which was freshly prepared and excellent. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

All of the food (evening meal and breakfast) is cooked from scratch and is fresh locally sourced.

This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell. But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing.

Our stay was perfect. The room was big enough for our family of four, bed were very comfortable and the room was very clean and tidy. What’s an added bonus is the best breakfast you will ever have! Award winning marmalades, served with HOMEMADE bread and all of the ingredients of the cooked breakfast’s are local and high quality. I highly recommend having the French toast or the Cumbrian breakfast, my son would highly recommend the kids French breakfast which is chocolate dipping bowl and fresh croissants. The owners are amazing! Highly knowledgeable of the area (definitely listen to their advice as they know all the best places) and they are very friendly and welcoming of families. Couldn’t be happier

The room was clean and specious. Staff was very nice and food was exceptional ! I would absolutely recommend this property.
