Fantasticly set-up and very nice unit. Great value! We’d stay here again, especially as it has tile floors and allows digs. Very clean, very easy parking. It is ON the freeway and area is so-so, but didn’t seem to matter once inside at all.

This was a great place to stay. I love that it was pet friendly. It was mostly comfortable for my kids and myself except for the bed was a little hard. They provided anything I needed to cook with, do dishes or wash clothes if needed. Everything was tidy and clean. Everything was labeled, so it was easy to find even the light switches, which we were very thankful for. The next time we come back to Amarillo for a family event we will definitely try to stay here again.

Most convenient place I have ever stayed in. Keyless entry, parking is right in front of the door. No stairs at all. Super quick off and on from I-40. I wish there were more places like this to stay in across the country.

Very easy to find, centrally located. Excellent instructions for checking in and fantastic communication from the host. Comfortable beds, two separate bathrooms and relaxed living room/kitchen area. Free parking directly outside and spotlessly clean throughout. Coffee machine, fridge and freezer which was full of ice. Great cooking facilities, would highly recommend.

The morning of, I got an email from Hotels.com with check in info. Within minutes a text message from the host. Provided me with the code and that I could reach out with any questions. Host was readily available and responsive. Location is close to the highway for easy access. Parking lot had space for our little UHaul along with our other car. Check in was easy, place was clean, nice big bath towels, little bit of coffee for the morning. The decor was cute and there was lots of space! My bed was comfortable, but it was very squeaky. I was tired enough that I didn’t do my typical toss and turn or I might have had a hard time with the squeak if I was restless. Shower has good pressure and there’s shampoo/conditioner and body wash if you need! Check out was also easy - basically be a responsible guest - wash your dishes and pick up your trash! If I’m ever in Amarillo again, I’d stay again!

We were pleasantly surprised with how nice this apartment is. Space was great; many extras included; easy to bring dog. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend especially if you’re needing a place to crash driving cross country like we were. Arrived before dark with enough time to hit local super market and left before 8 am.

The apartment was overall clean and tidy, but the floors were so sticky I thought my shoe was going to come off my foot. I checked my shoes to ensure I did not bring anything in from the outside. So much so that walking barefoot in the apartment for about 5 minutes left the bottom of my feet completely black. The biggest problem was communication. When we arrived and used the code that was emailed to entire the room, everything was great. We unpacked and decided to go grab dinner. When we got back to the room after dinner, the code to the room did not work. We attempted multiple times with no luck. I attempted to find a phone number or an email address for the owners or the property managers, but found no email address and the only phone number listed was just a bunch of 5’s. We had to call Hotels.com support, and even they were not able to get ahold of the owners. I had to go through another website and create a fake inquiry about the property just to get a response. When I finally got a response from a property manager, we were told that our payment did not go through. I fully understand that non-payment should not result in us being able to stay in the room, BUT THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD TO US BEFORE WE WERE EVEN ABLE TO ENTER THE ROOM. We were stranded outside of the room with all of our belongings already in the room. I had no problem with paying the room and would never try to get away with not paying, but it should have been communicated sooner instead of locking us o

This place was extraordinary. It was very well priced, clean, renovated, well equipped with basics, and the property owner communicated very well. It had easy access to the freeway and readily available parking. Would definitely stay here again if in Amarillo in the future.

It looks cute when you first walk in. It’s sparse but the decor is okay. It looks time worn, but that’s not a problem. But it pretty quickly became apparent there is a cockroach infestation. I even found one in a kitchen drawer. I will put up with a lot from a property as I travel extensively for work, but pests are not something I can abide. Didn’t have anywhere else to go for the night as the money was already spent (I am on business), and I really only needed it for a few hours to sleep. But I absolutely wouldn’t have stayed long term.

We stayed at the Madison as part of our first time visit to Palo Duro Canyon. I was a bit reluctant to book based on other reviews mentioning issues with their check in code, but I was so pleased with the check in process because there were no lines, or papers to sign, or elevators to fight with. I called the customer service number the day prior to check in to be sure things were going to go as expected and received a very friendly and professional answer on the first ring. My access code was in my e-mail the morning of check in just as promised. I couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation. The property owners have situated the apartments so perfectly and hospitably — like they actually care and want you to be there. The amenities were relevant and generous. I won’t try to name them all. There were cute little WiFi password plaques in the main area and rooms. A basket of complimentary snacks.There is a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, and smart televisions in all rooms. The entire place was so clean and comfortable. This will be our spot when we make our return trips.

Check in was horrible. Was given the wrong code, took a while for someone to respond. Fridge was dirty, there was a dead roach covered by tiny ants in one of the closets, above range microwave didn’t work, no power even tho it was plugged in. Towels smelt bad as if they were left in the washer over night.

The bedroom on the front side was super noisy because of the highway and the back bedroom didn’t have a ceiling fan so the room got really warm. Other than that the property was adorable and had everything we could have needed for our multiple night stay.

This is my second time booking. We loved it the first time, and really wanted to like it, but it is a little tired this time. A mattress was saggy and uncomfortable on one side, as was the case for the sofa. Toilet barn doors need repairs, one pillowcase had a ripped seam, found a used cartridge in the coffee maker, fridge water filter had a red light, indicating it needed to be replaced. Good thing we brought some water. One counter stool was loose and rickety, floor was dusty, one bedside lamp bulb was out so I replaced it with a living room light bulb, the back area was not cleared of dog droppings so we had to go to the park near Amarillo college. It is close to the highway and was quiet last time we stayed, but it’s a lot noisier for some reason for the room facing the highway and my kids couldn’t sleep well.

Instructions were clear and succinct. Rooms are nice and dark at night. There is freeway noise in the front bedroom, but they have provided a white noise machine with other sounds options that we found very helpful. Facilities are very clean. Could have used a few new batteries in the TV remotes, as two of the three remotes were dead or dying.

Travelers beware! We arrived after receiving the door code only to find the code provided did not work for the apartment we were given. We had just driven for 12 hours. We called the property contact multiple times with no connection. We worked with the booking agency to help and they couldn’t reach them either. We ended up having to wait until late at night to book another hotel. We were charged fo the stay and had to pay for a replacement. We have requested a refund with no response.

We stayed at the Madison as part of our first time visit to Palo Duro Canyon. I was a bit reluctant to book based on other reviews mentioning issues with their check in code, but I was so pleased with the check in process because there were no lines, or papers to sign, or elevators to fight with. I called the customer service number the day prior to check in to be sure things were going to go as expected and received a very friendly and professional answer on the first ring. My access code was in my e-mail the morning of check in just as promised. I couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation. The property owners have situated the apartments so perfectly and hospitably — like they actually care and want you to be there. The amenities were relevant and generous. I won’t try to name them all. There were cute little WiFi password plaques in the main area and rooms. A basket of complimentary snacks.There is a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, and smart televisions in all rooms. The entire place was so clean and comfortable. This will be our spot when we make our return trips.

First, we were supposed to get the keycode 24 hours before arrival. That did not happen. We received the keycode at 8:38 on the morning of our stay, after we were already on the road. It was frustrating to have to deal with getting information that should have been given to us prior to the trip. We highly recommend getting this info to the customer in a more timely manner. Second, when we arrived at the property the keycode did not work, so we were in a bit of a panic. We had two phone numbers for the property, but neither was being answered. We texted, but did not get a respoinse. We were not given any phone number for emergencies. We were having to be in telephone contact with family 2 states away to try and reach out to Travelocity and determine what we were supposed to do. We recommend the property communicate directly with the customer and not through a third party as messages are not going through. The property was sometimes texting messages to us and other times sending them through Travelocity through email. Traveling through on a long road trip. Location is very convenient to interstate, gas, restaurants. It’s a short strip of rooms: the sign was down when we pulled in so we weren’t sure if it was the right place. If noise bothers you it may be a problem due to being on the interstate but we use a sound machine anyway so we were not bothered. Place was very clean, everything you need. Would recommend.

Stayed one night on our road trip. We traveled with two dogs this place was perfect. Extremely clean looks just as it does in the pictures. Upon arrival there were snacks for us and treats for the pups. So 🙂 sweet Very comfortable and felt safe despite the close proximity to the highway. There's a green space behind the building for dogs to do there business. I would only suggest maybe putting up a pet waste disposal area but I did find a trash dumpster in the alley way next door. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

There needs to be a dish cloth&towels for the kitchen. Trash bags for kitchen to refill. You might think about a toaster and blow dryer. Also a broom and dust pan. These things we needed for a 4day stay. Over night maybe not. The living room seating was not only old and broken but not enough for a group of 4 or more. Several patches on the walls that had not been completed. Pictures are not representative of the unit. Was clean but probably would not stay again.
