Highfield Park is a character hotel set in a huge plot with views for miles of the countryside. It is a peaceful location, yet within easy commute by car to Fleet or Reading. We had a signature room in the main hotel building which was comfortable and with a large bed and shower. We enjoyed the rich bolognaise and salad with garlic bread. The breakfast was also very good with full continental and cooked options.The staff are helpful and pleasant. We had a nice walk around the grounds near the hotel. Plenty of free parking, Certainly recommended and good value.

This is a lovely country manor house deep in the Hampshire countryside. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It is dog friendly too. The surrounding area is great for dog walks. The hotel is clean. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable with everything you need. Please bear in mind this is a period property so is quirky. Which adds to it's charm. You benefit from a 11am check out. I had the pleasure of having dinner here on the terrace. The food was delicious, well presented and reasonably priced. I can heartily recommend the afternoon tea. A fine selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Plenty of teas, coffees, or gin and cocktails. A splendid location for a party or wedding. Heartily recommended.

Nice location and lots of easy parking. Didn’t enjoy the stay as rooms were very hot and lacked cooling/ventilation. Had to move room to find a cooler but still very warm room. Also rooms were on higher floors in main house and no lift. Moving luggage to room was not easy. Will not stay there again.

I arrived at night... No clear, illuminated, signs... And leaving the room, it was a struggle to find the way out... No exit signs. It looks like the signage has been done by someone who knows the layout really well and hasn't considered the stranger!

Stayed here a few times. Excellent value. Rooms in the main house are very quiet and comfortable. Maybe opt for a larger room if there’s 2 of you. Nice bar with great food. Highly recommend, if the price is right.

A nice place to stay, convenient for onward travel. I was staying in the coach house and my only concern was the walk to the main house for food. It's badly lit and the path is uneven. Better lighting would be good. Also they had a wedding on so you could only order from the very limited bar menu. Perhaps having the a la carte menu available as well would be better.

Expensive & overrate themselves. Small rooms worse than student dorm rooms, not clean smelt of previous humans. Couldn’t handle having less than 30 guest at breakfast which was poorly serviced, tables not cleaned & reset between guests so had to do it ourselves. The more expensive double rooms in the Wellington Lodge ground floor although recently refurbished were no better than travel lodge ie just like standard hotel room yet charged like 5* hotel room. To add insult our room had NO TOILETRIES even though they should have had, daughter’s room bathroom had cobwebs which took 2 goes to get cleaned. Room 38 in the Firs sets off fire alarms every time shower is used which happened on 2 consecutive mornings necessitating evacuation. This was one of the WORST hotel experiences of our lives. Would not recommend Highfield Park.

I arrived very late (after 11pm) but was still able to check in at the reception desk. My room was F10 in Fir Tree Court. Bed was comfortable, decaf in my room as requested. Could not get a TV guide on the TV. Ensuite was okay, shower was lovely, odd smell in the ensuite - not sure what it was but only staying one night.

The room was not spacey, but it was big enough for one person. Very nice and clean, also the bathroom was clean and in very good condition. The staff was very helpful and polite. The restaurant was very good and clean, in general it was excellent.

Wonky old building with floors that slope in all directions and therefore so do the beds. Not comfortable at all when you spend all night trying not to roll out of bed. Shower cubicle smaller than the one in my caravan and you have to run around in there to get wet because the water pressure is dismal. Maybe the rooms in the annexes are better ....maybe they have flat floors at least. Nice views though.

We enjoyed staying at Highfield Park. The parklands surrounding the hotel gave it a great outlook. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room great size with a fab view over the countryside. Staff were very professional, warm and friendly. It was exactly the style of break I was looking for…a lovely country manor, lots of peace, great air quality. Will be back for more of the same.

We were in fir tree court and overall we wouldn't recommend this. The main hotel rooms may have been better but can't comment. Fir tree court looks like a converted stables, very pretty on the outside but cheaply renovated on the inside. Small rooms and the walls are paper thin! We had neighbours above us and next to us and we could hear every footstep thanks to creaky floor boards and doors banging. Didn't sleep great. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good.

The hotel was lovely and in a nice area, the staff were excellent. Our room was in the main house and was very small, had no air conditioning and one window which looked directly at other windows/walls. The room was very warm even though the outside temperature was fine.

Unfortunately there was a school Prom the night of my stay. This meant for over an hour, directly outside my room we were subjected to revving car engines, shrieking and cheering teenagers and parents and large crowds. Despite being a very warm evening we had to keep our windows shut and curtains drawn. Due to the prom, we couldn’t use any public areas/restaurant/bar due to the number of teenagers roaming around and the very loud disco. The hotel itself is nice enough - again, the grounds looked lovely but were full of teenagers, although the shower lacked power and there was no fresh/bottled water in the room. We walked to the the New Inn for dinner and discovered it had rooms. Should’ve stayed there!!

Highfield Park is an exceptional and unique Country hotel well worth seeking out. Set in majestic gardens and woodland with panoramic views across Berkshire. The Staff were professional & super friendly. The executive style rooms were spacious and comfortable with all the amenities. Luxury white linen throughout. Excellent English breakfast..served hot. Highly recommended.

Tap installed incorrectly and hot water came out of cold tap, this burned my mouth when drinking Radiator made noise all night despite being switched off Door didn’t latch properly and knocked back and forth constantly Bed was a double when we booked and paid for a king size Room was a third smaller than what was booked Hotel called to advise I hadn’t checked out and left things in the room, that happened to be the room we should’ve been in Loud guests kept waking us up throughout the night

Highfield Park is an exceptional and unique Country hotel well worth seeking out. Set in majestic gardens and woodland with panoramic views across Berkshire. The Staff were professional & super friendly. The executive style rooms were spacious and comfortable with all the amenities. Luxury white linen throughout. Excellent English breakfast..served hot. Highly recommended.

Highfield Park is a character hotel set in a huge plot with views for miles of the countryside. It is a peaceful location, yet within easy commute by car to Fleet or Reading. We had a signature room in the main hotel building which was comfortable and with a large bed and shower. We enjoyed the rich bolognaise and salad with garlic bread. The breakfast was also very good with full continental and cooked options.The staff are helpful and pleasant. We had a nice walk around the grounds near the hotel. Plenty of free parking, Certainly recommended and good value.

A hidden gem Highfield Park is a place to be discovered! Unique country setting! Landscaped gardens! Tranquility! Beautiful Grade II Hotel beautifully decorated with unique features! Excellent English breakfast served a la carte!! Highly recommended!

Had an amazing stay. Huge comfort bed, best full English breakfast I have ever had at a hotel and I have stayed at many all over UK, excellent service and great view when dining or grabbing a few drinks! Would definitely stay again and our pet dog Tyson gave his paws of approval! We accidentally left Tyson's bed behind and the hotel was quick to give us a call to let us know. Thank you!

A nice place to stay, convenient for onward travel. I was staying in the coach house and my only concern was the walk to the main house for food. It's badly lit and the path is uneven. Better lighting would be good. Also they had a wedding on so you could only order from the very limited bar menu. Perhaps having the a la carte menu available as well would be better.

Bedroom small and only a bath, toilet wouldn't flush. Moved to slightly better room for the next night. Food average menu gives the impression of a 4* hotel food was like a poor 2*. Many other problems and would definitely never stay again.
