Lovely stay for New Year, friendly locals, great Nook beer and drinks selection, though could be cheaper. Above all the staff are a credit to this place, absolutely superb. Half hour walk downhill into Holmefirth and £6.50 in a cab back up the hill if you don’t fancy the Walk. Above the kitchen so Radio could be heard, not an issue for us but may be for light , early sleepers in Holme Moss. Could have done with the room being service during 4 nights but not a deal breaker and any requests were met with smiles and efficiency Would definately stay again

Very nice homely country pub with good food and Local brewery (Nook), excellent views and easy reach of Holmfirth (we did get a taxi for the nearly 2 miles / 10 mins journey). Will definitely be staying again when we visit the Picturedrome again.

The BoshawTrout is an ideal location for visiting Holmfirth. It is a modern property with plenty of parking and the staff are great! The property has great views. There is a very nice bar and the breakfast is very good. It less than a mile and half to walk down the hill to Holmfirth but you may want to catch a taxi back as we did if you don’t facncy the walk back up the hill.

I had previously stayed at the Boshaw a couple of months prior to this stay and was looking forward to eating at the pub and pint or two. I was disappointed to find that, prior to my arrival but after booking, the pub was closed on Tuesdays. This would mean a drive into Homfirth (there is nothing around) to get food, not ideal. When I mentioned this to Ian (the proprietor), he offered me the alternative of staying at their sister pub in Holmfirth - he even drove down with me following to ensure I knew where to go and got a parking space. Service doesnt get much better than that!

Booked a last minute stay and dinner at The Boshaw Trout as in Holmfirth for a concert. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Sunday dinner was lovely and good value, plenty of meat and a variety of veg. Rooms were of a high standard for decor, furnishings and cleanliness. Comfy bed, pity we had to leave early in the morning and miss breakfast.

The property is set in a rural location but is a blend of modern and traditional buildings. Spotless with brilliant staff throughout. Food was outstanding. Bedrooms are very clean and well equipped with very comfortable beds. Genuinely cannot fault any part of this stay. Most certainly will be back. Loved it!

Not clean and bed too small. No shampoo or soap. People chatting until earlier hours. A dog running up and down the corridor. The bed was a three quarter not a double. The bed mattress was horrible and stained. Never stay here again!

Had a very enjoyable 1 night stay. The staff were very friendly and efficient, food in the bar and the breakfast was lovely. Rooms were excellent and will definitely return in the future.

The room was modern and spotlessly clean, although compact; kettle, beverages, hairdryer and ironing board provided, along with a good supply of coat hangers in the wardrobe. Very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. A slight downside was that the rear access (fire escape) and kitchen extractor system were right outside our window, so a bit noisy in the late evening and early morning. However, this was more than compensated for by the friendly, helpful staff, who really did cheerfully provide for all our needs.

We stayed here as we were going to a gig at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth, which was a 5 minute ride away, so really convenient. The room was excellent. Everything recently refurbished, and top quality. Breakfast was excellent. The evening menu looked good too, although we had other arrangements. Good value for money.

Lovely stay for New Year, friendly locals, great Nook beer and drinks selection, though could be cheaper. Above all the staff are a credit to this place, absolutely superb. Half hour walk downhill into Holmefirth and £6.50 in a cab back up the hill if you don’t fancy the Walk. Above the kitchen so Radio could be heard, not an issue for us but may be for light , early sleepers in Holme Moss. Could have done with the room being service during 4 nights but not a deal breaker and any requests were met with smiles and efficiency Would definately stay again

Booked a last minute stay and dinner at The Boshaw Trout as in Holmfirth for a concert. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Sunday dinner was lovely and good value, plenty of meat and a variety of veg. Rooms were of a high standard for decor, furnishings and cleanliness. Comfy bed, pity we had to leave early in the morning and miss breakfast.

Lovely place, perfect for our 1 night stay with beautiful views. Great food, very friendly staff who were so lovely and comfortable room. A 5 min drive into Holmfirth. We'll definitely be back.

The property is set in a rural location but is a blend of modern and traditional buildings. Spotless with brilliant staff throughout. Food was outstanding. Bedrooms are very clean and well equipped with very comfortable beds. Genuinely cannot fault any part of this stay. Most certainly will be back. Loved it!

Had a very enjoyable 1 night stay. The staff were very friendly and efficient, food in the bar and the breakfast was lovely. Rooms were excellent and will definitely return in the future.

Staff very friendly on arrival, and the room was nice and warm. Great views, unfortunately the breakfast wasn't up to standard for me. Ive had breakfast here before and it was much better than my recent stay. Items ( hash browns ) way over cooked to the point there was no hash in it! Overall its a really nice place to stay.
