Te Moana offers at no cost paddle boarding and kayaking as part of its hotel services which are very enjoyable activities. Also the swimming pool and lagoon with direct access to the ocean provide a beautiful view of the sea. One can sit at the pool-side and really enjoy scene.

Incredible property with unbelievable views and snorkeling right in the lagoon area. Short walk to good food, or eat at one of wonderful restaurants on site. Free use of snorkel equipment and kayaks, with other rental stuff availble too. Loved to gym and spa are too!

Lush, well maintained property with a cozy island vibe. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The pool and lagoon area were beautiful; we had a late departing flight and enjoyed relaxing poolside that day. They even had free use of a transit room to shower and change! We would definitely book again.

The property was nice and had very spacious rooms like suites with a kitchen. I would give it a 5 if they had a beach. However, very good places to eat to the right of the resort. They give you very large portions for $25 and below. No restaurants do that. They cook your food on the grills outside. If I didn't see smoke, we didn't eat there. It is better to rent a car. The resort have free parking and that is a plus for anyone. Also you can swim in the nice pool or the natural ocean water pool next to the restaurant. That is very unique. You also get to see all the great waves and surfers. Overall, great place to stay

As others have mentioned, this hotel has strangely poor maintenance. Our original room had such a terrible mold/mildew smell that we asked to be moved. (It also had a broken refrigerator cabinet - very shoddy). They only moved us after sending up custodial staff to confirm the odor, which seemed odd. The new room was much better, but still had some condition issues I wouldn’t expect at a hotel of this price point (eg, gaps in flooring). At check in we requested a taxi for 6am since we had an early flight. On check out, the receptionist had clearly forgotten and we ended up in a bit of a bind since there was another guest who was also headed to the airport and the traffic starts around 6:15am in Papeete. We ended up finally getting a cab around 6:25 and sat in tense traffic on our way to the airport. It worked out but we were pretty worried. I wish I had a better experience — we loved the pool and the outdoor ambiance was really lovely. But I probably would not stay at Te Moana again.

I stayed in an ocean view studio and found it clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning and ceiling fan cooled the room well. The view from the balcony was beautiful. It would’ve been even better if the palm trees had been trimmed a bit. The grounds are lushly landscaped and well maintained. While there is no sandy beach, the property provides easy access to the water. The infinity pool area is lovely. Perhaps some TLC is in order, as it appeared to be in need of resurfacing and the fountains on the curved stone wall were non-operational. The deck area facing Moorea was quiet and relaxing. The sunrises from that vantage point did not disappoint, so try not to oversleep. The roosters on the property do their best to ensure you don’t! The breakfast buffet is pricey and acceptable, but most of the “hot” food was barely warm. Other food options/menus are very limited.

Our experience at Te Moana was unfortunately poor. This hotel is extremely dirty. The main entrance and the pool area was lovely and well kept. However, our hotel room was filthy. Walking on the floor resulted in a thick black film on the bottom of our feet. Our room smelt musty and like mildew. I would caution staying here if you are at all cautioned about cleanliness. I will not be staying here again.

The hotel is very out- dated and totally not worth the money. I have Cockroach in my room and everything in the room looks old. The chickens around the property started clutching as early as 2:30am to 5am - very noisy. For the price that we pay, this resort is totally not worth it. The location is also inconvenient and the water in front of property is not so safe to swim.

Clean hotel, gorgeous view and rooms pretty spacious. The only downside is that food and drinks are very expensive (island prices), the hotel is walking distance to market and food trucks, which was nice

The infinity pool and lagoon were great. The staff were wonderful. The rooms, however, were very dingy, dirty and musty. I guess the humidity and climate make it difficult to keep the indoors fresh but things like dirty couches and sofas can be easily remedied with some leather cleaner or something. I expected better for a $250 per night stay.

Booked a room with an ocean view. It was blocked by bushes and had no view (5002). Were moved to a different room, 5008, after a large amount of insect larvae had fallen from the ceiling onto the furniture. This room was blocked by bushes as well with no view. Very disappointing stay. Resort itself was beautiful. It was often hard to find a beach chair. Also, the resort staff placed reserved signs on ocean view seating in the early afternoon to hold them for evening bar guests. If you would like outside seating go before lunch.

This was a great way to spend my night in Tahiti before flying onwards. The staff is so nice and accommodating. I arrived on a very early flight and they immediately took my bags so I could go enjoy the resort. The pool is unbelievable. It is very clean and easy to walk into and has the incredible view of Moorea. It is so beautiful. I enjoyed my time just relaxing on the chairs, with towels provided from the staffed pool-house. The food and drinks were all very high quality. I had this incredibly delicious eggplant dish. I didn’t realize my room was going to be a full suite with a kitchen that was outfitted. If I had wanted to cook simple things I would have easily been able to do so. The bed and ammenities were all very very nice and the room was huge. When I come back to Tahiti I will not hesitate to stay again and hopefully for a couple more days!

The location is great for a quick trip en route to Bora Bora. The facility is a bit worn, but the service was great and the pool and restaurant were very nice. The only complaint I could say is that there was a rooster crowing outside our room way before dawn and the road noise was quite loud. I’m sure the back rooms were much better, though.

I checked in before all our friends but got our room last. It was supposedly an ocean view room but all we saw was the restaurant. It was very hot in the room but they didn’t seem to care.

We had an Ocean View room with a stunning view of Moorea in the distance. The view alone blew our minds. The room was also quite large, clean, and comfortable. The property is beautiful, with a large pool, a private lagoon with lots of fish and water the temperature of bath water. I am a critical traveler. I have not rated straight 5's out of 5 in a very long time. This property earned these points. We stayed for 4 days and were very pleased. They have good restaurants on the property but if you are staying for more then two days a short walk will take you to some wonderful local food. Check out the Sunset Roulotte for some amazing pizza and crepes. We loved Tahiti so much that we want to go back one day. When we do, we will stay at the Te Moana Resort. We really liked this place.

Loved everything about the property in general. The resort itself is beautiful and the view from the oceanside is breathtaking (directly across from Moorea). We saw a school of dolphins playing the first morning we arrived. The infinity pool is also beautiful. Did not like the toilet in the bedroom. It was a strange oblong/rectangle shape, too high off the ground and extremely uncomfortable. There was a sink in the toilet room that was too tiny, and the towel ring was close to the floor and toilet. Quite odd and not super sanitary. Otherwise, the room itself was very spacious and clean. Nice little kitchenette, although it was advertised there would be a "full-size" refrigerator and it was only a mini fridge. Showerhead had a lot of mineral buildup and the water did not go down the drain very quickly, leading to a lot of pooling of water on the floor. Breakfast buffet was decent (included - not sure if I would pay extra because it is the same every single day). Lots of mosquitoes...bring bug spray and itch cream! 8.5/10 would recommend.

As others have mentioned, this hotel has strangely poor maintenance. Our original room had such a terrible mold/mildew smell that we asked to be moved. (It also had a broken refrigerator cabinet - very shoddy). They only moved us after sending up custodial staff to confirm the odor, which seemed odd. The new room was much better, but still had some condition issues I wouldn’t expect at a hotel of this price point (eg, gaps in flooring). At check in we requested a taxi for 6am since we had an early flight. On check out, the receptionist had clearly forgotten and we ended up in a bit of a bind since there was another guest who was also headed to the airport and the traffic starts around 6:15am in Papeete. We ended up finally getting a cab around 6:25 and sat in tense traffic on our way to the airport. It worked out but we were pretty worried. I wish I had a better experience — we loved the pool and the outdoor ambiance was really lovely. But I probably would not stay at Te Moana again.

The front desk staff, especially the ladies in the morning were so helpful and kind. My husband left his kindle on our flight, and the ladies especially Rae were instrumental in the recovery of the kindle. They took the time to track down and secure the kindle until we were able to get back to the airport. Thank you so very much. The property is beautiful, well kept and welcoming.

The property was very nice, including the swimming pools, and grounds in general. We enjoyed our stay. However, the Front Desk Staff needs more training in helping guests get back to the airport. It is not very far away, and getting from the airport to the hotel went okay, but we had to pay for two cabs for our group. When checking in, we requested to reserve a cab that would hold all seven of us, and we were told that we had one. We were not told that due to traffic in the morning, it would take twice the time, approximately 35 minutes, to get back to the airport. However, we were fortunate that we were told to depart at 6am, so even with a 20 minute delay finding us another cab, we made it there with some time to spare. Other people we knew had been told to depart at 6:30am, and when their cab did not show up, they barely made the flight and were totally stressed out. I think it is a training issue.

Very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food fir dinner was good and their staff very friendly. The staff at the two bars need some training in providing customer service. Maybe it’s a cultural thing in Tahiti but not where I’m from. It was difficult to get served and we regularly felt ignored and overlooked.

This was a great hotel to end our trip. They were very accommodating for our late flight: we had full access to the pool area and a shower/day room free of charge. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Anthony at the bar was the man with his craft cocktail creations. Tim at the pool set us up with awesome extrusions and answered all our questions. Gigi (Gg??) the dive master for an incredible diving experience. Also, all the people we didn’t get their names for keeping the hotel running and super clean- thank you! We tried to stay another night but they were full. We highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

The check in process was terribly. There was 1 person working and a long long line. Others got checked in before us and then came after us. We ordered a few cocktails at the pool bar and they had no alcohol and only juice. Staff members were juggling cocktail shakers. Not very professional.

I booked a room for 2 people to include breakfast, and also to include XPF4575 beverage credit per room, per stay. Upon check-in there was nothing about the beverage credit on my booking and was told it was not included. After some time I was able to find the email with this information and after showing it to reception they added it to my booking. Not good as I was informed by the hotel prior to arrival what was included.

We loved the view of the ocean from our room and Moorea. The property was nice and quiet. The breakfast buffet was delicious. It would be nice if they had a hotel shuttle to take you from the airport to the resort instead of renting a car or taking an overpriced taxi.

Great property, great staff! I really liked the location, it was convenient no matter where we were going. The pool and lagoon were better than most of the beaches around the island. There was a food truck court at the end of the block that was great to go to for dinner.

I stayed in an ocean view studio and found it clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning and ceiling fan cooled the room well. The view from the balcony was beautiful. It would’ve been even better if the palm trees had been trimmed a bit. The grounds are lushly landscaped and well maintained. While there is no sandy beach, the property provides easy access to the water. The infinity pool area is lovely. Perhaps some TLC is in order, as it appeared to be in need of resurfacing and the fountains on the curved stone wall were non-operational. The deck area facing Moorea was quiet and relaxing. The sunrises from that vantage point did not disappoint, so try not to oversleep. The roosters on the property do their best to ensure you don’t! The breakfast buffet is pricey and acceptable, but most of the “hot” food was barely warm. Other food options/menus are very limited.

Hotel was great!! Beautiful landscaping throughout. Right on the water with a beautiful infinity pool and lagoon snorkeling and swimming also. Happy Hour 5-7:30 with amazing tapas and drinks. All bars, restaurant, and bridges light up at night.

I had an amazing 2 nights stay at Te Moana Tahiti Resort and will definitely visit again for a longer time. + The location is fabulous, with stunning views of Moorea and the waves breaking over the reefs along the coastline. The staff are relaxed, friendly, and attentive. Special thanks to the lovely staff member who took care of me when I arrived very early in the morning after a 25 hour flight. The pool area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing and there’s a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks. There's also a natural ocean pool with corals and colorful fish. Beds are very comfortable. I appreciated the cooking and washing facilities, and of course the spacious terraces. – The vegetarian and vegan food options could be expanded, and it would be great if more drinking water were included in the stay.
