The staff was good, but the hotel is in disrepair. Broken items throughout room - drawers, hooks, closet doors. And it could use a good cleaning. The comforter smelled. The neighborhood is a little seedy. No pool. The bed was comfortable. The “terrace” is two chairs on the top floor in a small patio.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The facility is older but the rooms are large and adequate. The airconditioning and draperies (completely dark) were excellent. Very clean floors, white linens, bathroom. This was perfect for my needs. However, the location is on the edge of the port/tourist area of Papeete so it's a 10 minute walk to the central area for shops and eateries. There was no balcony or swimming pool which are not expected at this price point.

Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. The place is showing its age, with some missing fixtures in the shower and bathroom, but our room was clean and comfortable. There's a lot of construction going on around the hotel, so getting around on foot is a bit rocky. However, the location, just a few blocks from the ferry terminal, makes it an ideal location for short stopovers between island hops. The onsite cafe has great pastries and a nice assortment of entrees for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just snacks. A good value and our main complaints were minor - the traffic noise outside and the loud closings of the very solid room doors.

Considering the age of the building - it is very well maintained. It was clean and spacious and the staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived at about 9:00 pm and were expected. Staff had no problem with the language translation. Price was VERY reasonable and it was within walking distance to all the shops and plenty of places to eat downtown. We were able to leave our luggage at the front desk while we waited for our ship boarding time. Would recommend including the breakfast for additional small charge, as food choices downtown are rather pricey.

Don't arrive expecting a 5-star resort, that's not this hotel. But it's a quarter or less of the cost too. It was perfect for my needs. Easy walk to restaurants and shops by the port. Free parking. I had a car so was out exploring the island every day, leaving in the morning and not returning until evening. Kind staff - Vainui and Jeanne (sorry if I mispelled) were lovely and made sure all was good.

L'hotel è situato in una zona industriale tranquilla perché un po' defilata comunque poco distante dal centro di Papeete raggiungibile in 10 minuti a piedi. La struttura è semplice ma accogliente dotata di un ampio parcheggio anche coperto. La hall è fornita di comodi divanetti di fronte al bar e la sala colazioni è spaziosa ed efficiente. La nostra camera era grande e comoda. La cosa che mi è piaciuta di piu è stata l'assistenza della responsabile, la signora Laiza, che nonostante non fosse presente in quel periodo, dopo qualche giorno ha accolto positivamente la mia richiesta dimostrandosi molto comprensiva e collaborativa.

This hotel is old,shabby and in need of upgrading. We regretted staying there. When we booked there was a guest laundry. When we got there it was no longer available. The room was spacious but in need of renovation. Old mismatched furniture. No bedside lights. No overhead light. Not a pleasant place to stay.

Our first floor room was absolutely horrible. The shower head was caked in mold/mildew and I saw 3 cockroaches hiding in the shower and drain. The hotel staff moved us to a third room floor, which was slightly better. No cockroaches, but the bed linens were clearly used before with hair and dirt under the top sheet. Spend a little more and go anywhere else but here.

Our room was roach infested. The staff seemed unconcerned but did grant our request to move to another room. This room had roaches as well. In my 20 yrs of traveling, I’ve never had to deal with an infestation. Having as many roaches as we saw makes me believe there is a cleanliness issue.

Die Zimmer sind sehr schlecht isoliert. So hatten wir um 02:30 Uhr und 04:00 Uhr betrunkene deutschsprachige Gäste, welche Karaoke sangen. Es klang, als wäre es in unserem Zimmer gewesen. Das war sehr schade.

Sarah Nui is a nice budget hotel. Personnel are very nice. The Ferry Harbor is very close. Wi-fi did not work in the room but was fine in the lobby. Water in the shower was a bit cold. A good experience overall.

The hotel has a nice reception but the rooms are quite dated, staff were friendly and helpful with storing our bags after checkout. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and towels, only the shower could have been a bit cleaner as the tiles/grout needed a good clean.

room was good and quiet but floor needed a wash - our sox were dirty walking round. Also room very dark and only had two bedside lamps and one light by door. Definitely needs a lamp in room as could hardly see anything in room such as going through suitcase after dark. Staying in a different room last visit there was a lamp. Would stay there again but would make sure a lamp was in room.

Unfortunately the room i paid for with a queen bed was not given. The hotel attendant who greeted us on the 20th of October said we had to pay more even though i paid initially upon booking. He was not helpful, he put us in a room by the emergency staircase where the staff would stand outside a look into our room especially at night. The lock on the window in our room was broken making it easy for someone to gain access. The room shower and sink were damaged. What was meant to be an amazing bitthday trip turned into a big disappointment. The bed sheets were not changed at all, the smell on the sheets initially was stale and lipstick marks were visable on the pillow cases. I was very upset that our room was changed and my initial room at booking was not given. Strange men and women kept standing on the emergency staircase looking in which made us feel very unsafe and hotel staff were disinterested in all our dealings.

The staff was friendly and professional. They were helpful with restaurants selection for the area as well as booking taxi for airport transfer. The hotel is a bit dated. However, it is a great place to stay for pre cruise or pro cruise stay since it is only a short distance from the cruise port and the airport.

I had a car so was out exploring the island every day, leaving in the morning and not returning until evening. Kind staff - Vainui and Jeanne (sorry if I mispelled) were lovely and made sure all was good.

Location is 10 min walk to downtown Papeete. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and staff is welcoming. We only stayed the one night but it's within walking distance to Hotel Kontiki which has a restaurant and across the street is a store that sells individual drinks and snacks as well as supplies in bulk. Short walking distance to the wharf.

The property is situated in a factory area. Having said that, its only a short walk to the harbourside for restaurants, bars, shops etc. I don't think you get great value for money anywhere in Papeete. The hotel is fine for a place to put your head for a night or two.

We stayed here for two nights in between island visits. It was perfect for our needs. The staff are very friendly and it's super convenient to the airport (15 min drive) and ferry terminal (5 minute walk). You can walk to the food trucks (a few around the corner and more on the other side of the ferries), and walkable to the morning market. The beds are comfortable and cold A/C was a nice respite. Awesome that there was plenty of off-street parking. Our room on the street side was quite loud with traffic noise and motorcycles revving late in to the night (it was Saturday). But our daughter's room, which was on the other side of the building, was super quiet (and had an ocean view!). So if you are bothered by noise, inquire about location of room. We didn't try the breakfast in house, but nice that they offer it. Definitely recommend for 1 or 2 nights in transit.

Front desk service, the wonderful cleaning lady, the night desk attendant and helper were fabulous. Fabulous. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was terrible for us. The primary reason was the extremely rude and even mean spirited attitude and service by the breakfast room person in charge. She would not let my wife take a bowl from the breakfast area to the room without arguing that she could not do that. She would not let us have silverware from the breakfast room brought to our room, but instead offered a flat wooden spoon and fork. The breakfast itself was meager, sufficient but austere. If we could downgrade the entire property and experience because of that the breakfast person who is in charge of our morning eating experience, we would. That would however be unfortunate because the property itself is very nice, the rooms huge and very comfortable. It is too bad that the property reputation must suffer because of one person and one area in the hotel.

Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. The place is showing its age, with some missing fixtures in the shower and bathroom, but our room was clean and comfortable. There's a lot of construction going on around the hotel, so getting around on foot is a bit rocky. However, the location, just a few blocks from the ferry terminal, makes it an ideal location for short stopovers between island hops. The onsite cafe has great pastries and a nice assortment of entrees for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just snacks. A good value and our main complaints were minor - the traffic noise outside and the loud closings of the very solid room doors.

We chose this hotel for a one night stay after a cruise. It was a “budget” hotel close to the wharf. We had a room where the AC was broken, and they moved us to a new room right away. The breakfast was nice and served very efficiently by great Tahitian staff. Not a bad place to stay for one night.

We arrived late in PPT so stayed for 1 night. The first room on 3rd floor was small and AC didn’t work. We were moved to 1st floor, bigger and nicer room with AC. The hotel is older, tired looking, clean and ok for 1 night. Staff was helpful. Bottles of water and hot water pot in room. No food available.

We needed a place to stay for one night to catch the ferry over to Moorea the next morning. Only a 5 minute walk to the ferry, hotel Sarah Nui was a perfect choice. We slept well. The shower was nice, and the staff were friendly.
