This hotel was probably quite fancy once but has seen better days. The room was huge but reasonably basic, and the pool was out of order — I got the impression it had been that way for a while. This was really disappointing as we had chosen a hotel with a pool specifically for our last day so our kids could enjoy a last swim before flying home. We ordered a taxi for 6am but it wasn’t ordered and we had a reasonably stressful dash to the airport to make our flight. It also wasn’t a cheap option: there are better hotels in Papeete for the price — check them out first.

This hotel was so dark in the interior that I had difficulty finding my room. The breakfast was meager and ridiculously expensive -$35 for the continental breakfast and $45 for the full buffet. Too expensive even if the items had been full but many platters were empty and not re-filled. The wooden deck around the pool needed repair; many nails sticking up. The area outside the hotel was quite rough with broken sidewalks and poor lighting.

Floor in suite dirty. After shower walked down stairs to shoes at door and bottom of feet were black when putting on white sandals. What a mess. Looks good but not washed for quite a whe for $370 suite NIT acceptable. Other than that cool place. Pool could have been cleaner.

Pros Location, reasonable rate, excellent staff, nice pool and very comfortable bed. Cons. Extremely loud street noise. Motorcycles and moped noises well past midnight. Breakfast buffet. The hotel is showing its age. The pool decking is dangerous. Our room was large, had a sink and full size fridge but no microwave or other cooking facilities. Also no hanging space for trousers and dresses.Our door key cards had to be reset after each use.

The location is pretty convenient for the cruise terminal, market, waterfront, and some restaurants. We did a fair amount of walking. The check-in staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel is a bit run down, but the price and convenience was right. Breakfast is overpriced, but c'est la vie!

Great location across from ferry dock and short walk to cruise ship dock. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Rooftop bar was nice. Great salad in their cafe for lunch. Comfortable bed. Properly is very outdated. Building is old and minimally maintained. Do not pay extra for ocean/water view, its a rip off. You get to see the silhouette of the ocean at a distance along with nothing but rooftops wirh laundry drying on cloth lines. Definitely not worth the extra cost. Thei buffet breakfast is expensive and extremely limited. You are better off going out to breakfast somewhere else. Sevice in dining hall is questionable. This is not a bad hotel for an extreme emergency.
