If you are after rural tranquility then this is the place for you. It is directly on the beach and the hotel airport transfer will drive you by car part of the way and then bring you in by boat, luggage and all! Whichever accommodation you have there are a number of stone/rocky steps to climb, either up to the road or down to the beach. Do not worry about carrying heavy cases up and down all the stone steps, hotel staff do this for you. We were in a family cottage, consisting of 2 double rooms, a kitchen, shower room / wc and a lovely balcony for sitting out admiring the stunning view. The beds had mosquito nets - very necessary! Kitchen has a full size fridge and the hotel were generous with free bottled water. Shower only had cold water which, in 33 degree heat outside was not really a problem, but came slightly as a surprise to those of us who like a lukewarm shower rather than a completely cold one.Staff were very friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant on both nights and loved the large range of refreshing drinks available. Breakfast was not buffet style but still had menu options to please both European and Asian tastes. If you are going out very early on a day trip then the hotel are happy to provide you with a breakfast box the night before. Also it is possible to climb the steps up to the road to get picked up for said day trip. Check with hotel staff and they can point you in the right direction.

Great room, service, staff. It's a hidden gems/speakeasy that a bit far away from the city center but you will get the calm and peace staying here. There is no proper street/road going down to the hotel area so you have to walk through a bit of jungle but it's worth it.

Go by boat! As other have said the walk from the road to the hotel is pretty brutal.. its not actually that far but you do have to be fit and sure-footed due to how steep and loose the surface is... the hotel staff are amazing, views amazing, snorkeling is pretty good off the clean beach. They offer a boat taxi and can organise a car taxi (scooter taxis are most common) to pick you up.. this makes the walk a lot easier as the reception is literally on the beach... Id happily stay here again and would recommend to anyone with reasonable fitness levels. All rooms and cabins are up the pretty steep hill. So be aware before booking.
