First, the front-of-house staff are great, especially the bus driver. Everyone I interacted with was engaging, friendly, and very helpful. The design of the hotel is also excellent, and the location is very convenient, within walking distance of many things. I hate to say anything negative because the staff were so good, but there were a few issues during my stay. The springs in my first bed were worn and extremely uncomfortable, so the hotel kindly moved me to another room. The bed in the second room was in good condition, but unfortunately there was a significant housekeeping issue with the cleanliness of the sheets, which meant I had to change rooms again. That said, the manager was very understanding and appeared to take the issue seriously and act on it immediately, which I really appreciated. Overall, I can still recommend this hotel. The staff, design, and location are all very good, and I expect the housekeeping issue will be addressed. With a little more consistency in room and linen checks, this could very easily feel like a five-star experience.

Room very clean and comfortable, the mattress was a little off but there was no problem sleeping. Staff was very welcoming and friendly, many amenities available and there’s a convenience store in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the stay and price was very affordable for a 5 star hotel.

朝食付きプランを予約したが行程上朝食が不要になった。不要であることがわかったのはチェックイン２日前。Hotels.com（Expedia）のシステム上様々な制約がある中、ホテル側が真摯に対応してくれたためチェックアウト後に朝食代金分を返金してもらうことができた。 返金の可否がわかったのはチェックイン後だったが、フロントスタッフも確約できること・出来ないことがある中で出来る限りの事をしてくれた。おかげで懸念なく滞在できた。 部屋はやや狭い。部屋によってはバスタブが無いだけでなく、クロゼットもない（壁にハンガーレールはある）。一方で素晴らしい中庭があり、閉塞感は無かった。 京都の東側を散策するには非常に良い立地。平安神宮、南禅寺、八坂神社は徒歩圏内。夏の夜、祇園四条あたりで飲んだ後に白川筋を歩いて帰るのも気持ちよい。 真向いに無印良品の入ったローソンがあり、下着なども買えるため長期滞在にも便利そうだった。
